Liora's POV…
"You are too deep into my world, there's no escape." The words kept ringing in my ear as we drove back to the mansion.
After I spat on him, I prepared for the inevitable but it never came.
His silence and inaction were far greater torture because now I didn't know what his next step was.
"Guide her to the guest bedroom in my wing, that's where she would be staying." He spoke to one of the mansion maids.
I trailed behind her down the hallway of the mansion.
At the beginning of his wing, it was labeled DOMINIC-B1.
The hallway was awfully quiet, even the drop of a pin would be easily heard through the halls.
A cold shiver ran down my spine as I walked down the hall, and with each step I took I felt I was drawing nearer to my doom.
"This is it." The maid opened the large doors.
A small sigh of relief escaped my lips, I half expected the room to have restraints bound to the bed frame and a cage inside.
But it was far from it, though it still had the dark contrast of the entire mansion.
The room was bigger than my entire apartment, I may even include my neighbors' own and the room will still be larger.
"He said the guest room, not his personal suite," I asked the maid, she probably took me to the wrong room.
"This is his guest room." She replied, with inquisitive brows.
"If there's anything you would like to change you can let me know, and the artisans will be up here tomorrow to make them."
"I am not sure a prisoner gets to decide the design of his prison," I spoke with pouted lips, while taking in the entire room.
"Mr Baltimore has instructed his staff to allow you to roam the mansion freely and do as you please, he said You aren't a prisoner."
"Besides, the prisoners don't stay in the guest room." She added in an attempt to ease me.
"So he has prisoners, that's great."
"Thanks for letting me know," I added sarcastically.
Blood drained from her face when she realized that she may have spoken a bit too much.
"It's fine." I assured her, "It's not like I will go about looking for them."
She cleared her throat before speaking, "Like I said, you can roam freely, but stay clear of wing six."
"Why?" I asked my eyes widening with curiosity.
She shrugged her shoulders, "That's the instruction we were all given, even the brothers don't go there."
I sighed, "Okay thank you." I knew there was no point pressing further; she wasn't going to speak.
A soft knock sounded on the door, "Come in."
The huge bodyguards trooped in dropping the numerous shopping bags and boxes containing my items.
Each item was a luxury unit costing thousands of dollars. Some were even limited editions.
I was confused as to why he would decide to waste such an outrageous amount of money on me.
But I had the sinking feeling that all this was the "calm before the storm."
"I can bring up your dinner in a few minutes, just let me know what you would like to eat."
"Oh there's no need to stress, I believe I can find my way to the kitchen."
She wanted to open up her mouth but refrained, she gave a light nod and left with the other guards.
I dashed into the bathroom desperate for a bath.
All day, I had put up a bold front, but deep down, I was frightened, and I wasn't going to show weakness before these men.
I allowed the water to run down my body as I leaned against the bathroom wall.
I wasn't going to let these men keep me trapped, nor was I going to remain here to wait for what they had planned for me.
The maid's words rang in my ears.
I was going to make use of my liberties and even play along if I must.
I would study the compound enough and plan my escape properly.
I scoffed, "too deep into my world." Repeating Dominic's words to myself.
I was going to escape this hell, I had escaped one hell before, and I would do it again.
Right now I wanted nothing more than to soak in the sheets and sleep.
I have not slept properly in over 24 hours.
But the low growl of my stomach reminded me of dinner.
Maybe I shouldn't have been so stubborn around Dominic refusing to eat.
Almost all the nightgowns were see-through with my nipples poking through.
So much for luxury, I had to drape myself in a black robe for some cover-up.
Looking at myself in the mirror I looked like a mafia princess, a perfect fit for this world.
I had to get out as soon as possible else I would be sucked into it.
The mansion seemed even larger now.
With multiple doors and hallways, I didn't even know which led to which.
My stomach growled with every wrong door I opened.
Maybe I should have just allowed her to bring dinner to me. I muttered to myself as the sound of my feet against the floor sounded through the halls.
I was about to open another door. This one seemed much larger but my hand stopped midway when I heard voices.
"If you can't keep her in check, I would gladly help you do so." Dante's voice sounded through the door.
I had mastered their voices from my little encounter with them when I was tied up.
It was one of my many survival skills I had.
"No one touches her, I will handle her." Dominic's deep voice followed.
Her being me.
A soft gasp escaped my lips before I bit down on my lips tightly with my teeth desperate not to give myself away.
"Handle her? She's not a tool. She may be a spy for all we know playing us all. Using a ghost of the past." Another of the brothers' voices spoke dismissively.
This one I didn't quite register.
"They wouldn't go that far to get to us."
"I don't want her around us roaming the mansion. You gave her a freaking room in your wing. Dominic."
"What would you have me do? Lock her up, interrogate her."
"That's exactly the point of bringing her here."
"No, she looks just like…her. We can't do such a thing."
"But she isn't her, don't forget that because it seems you already have."
It was the five brothers speaking about…me and they all sounded pissed as f*ck.
It had heard enough, it was time to leave before I got caught.
I retraced my steps gently, tiptoeing, before my back hit a large table causing me to wince.
Lucky me, I thought.
But then a vase just at the end was shaking to find its balance from my impact.
In a flash, before I could reach for it, it fell to the floor and shattered.
My heart shattered along with it.
F*ck I muttered beneath my breath as the large door burst open greeting me with icy blue eyes once again.
