Atop a giant helipad on a roof top, in the pitch black night with snow white glows of moon light dancing from the skies, a short and stocky dark skinned man in a glistening black leather jacket, a bulwark vest and matching straight face could've been felt with deep vibes, as if it was aura farming.
Immediately, by the next second, footsteps clapped as he turned, facing a lofty person feet away, muscular and fair skinned; the same man that spoke to Segun in school.
The short one adjusted his pose by closing in his frame turning to him, as if about to brief him with his raised head.
"We've got a problem."
"Quit it with the issues." He waved his hand back, pacing fast. "Did you get the kid?"
"Yeah, but about that…" The subject's voice was uneasy as he was beside the master. "We took his blood for testing and he's actually got a bio-signature and if I'm correct, it might actually be a tracking chemical injected into him by Optimum, our rival gang and relentless task force."
"What?!"
"Don't worry." The dark man raised his hands, moving back, Farouk is just 16 cities away and… yh, ok, now you see the irony."
He chuckled softly. "Look, let's just start driving out tonight after we've serviced our cars… Sadly we can't take the helicopter out but the cars should be in shape by the next 2 hours."
"Absolutely." The boss walked past, behind him. "Hopefully, it shouldn't be a pain in the ass stopping the rival gang as well but optimally, we are taking out Farouk."
"Yes, Captain." The one in dreads spoke, striding away on cure. From sensing the height of the moment, you could tell something wild was about to unfold.

Meanwhile, inside a small cubicle of a rough cement walled unpainted area there were no windows in the stuffy and hot place. With dusty surfaces and a dangling bulb, Farouk sat onto a huge chair tied against a pole. He wore a black handkerchief around his neck, casual clothes and a wounded face.
Before him was Segun, who stood ahead of 2 tall and athletic ebony skinned men, carrying rifles and wearing oni demon-type masks, flashing red and black. The way he grinned at his captive, with white teeth and red eyes as if he was yet to make a point.
"Well, well, well… yhhh, screw my opening being a lil cringe, but we've got a lil problem, Farouk Jones." He shook his head, gazing at him while Farouk bled. "You see, you thought you could actually rat me out, make me a convict, have kids with Gloria, blah blah blah… The jig is up, bitch!"
"BZZZZT!"
Farouk yelled, as a long and thick black rod pushed at him, as Segun held it, shocking the captive.
On release, he breathed. "All that we need is your phone's password to crack that bad boy and hand over your recording for editing… either that, or I turn you into a fucking circuit."
Farouk's purple eyes drowsily stared. "Stop cursing." He dragged. "And also, I thought you wanted none of this."
"That's what I thought too." Segun heaved, spreading arms. "But the truth is, you really screwed up making me think I was a joke all that time because I wasn't serious enough with school."
He poked that stick at Farouk. "All that I needed to do was 'take that initiative'." Each word stressed with a jab. "Become powerful and equipped enough to have what you had and make you such a successful friend."
"All because I had good grades back then a few years ago doesn't make me successful." Farouk shook his head. "Stella loves you and-."
"I don't care." Segun waved his rod. "All that I want is to end you and this school's system by making the ground rules… you will be made an official member of this gang, looking for nothing but our goal, while I make my people, the ones that meant business to me, pass out of that hellscape."
At this, Farouk looked up with a solemn face as if fear spiked in him. What about Gloria. If she knew, she's in danger. He couldn't just not do anything.
He inched his body closer to the bruised man. "Tell us the password now." His lowered voice coldly spoke.
Farouk raised his head, panting, then with a jagged breath-.
"KABOOOM!"
They all shook, sharply turning to Segun's right, who googled hard, gaping before facing the masked men.
"Get the fuck out!"
At this, they rushed out, aiming guns. On leave, Segun turned back to Farouk, fists in the air before a crashing door sound broke through before a tall and athletic man with every inch of his body in black and sleek combat armour and a mask.
On approaching Segun, quick dodges and- BLAM! He blew Segun's face.
Farouk's stressed brows and open jaws stared at him, as a circular studded silver logo flashed on his chest with a star inside. From the hero's hand, a hand-sized syringe with blue liquid stabbed close to his neck.
His breath caught. The syringe's glint in the dim light made his pulse race before the captive shut his eyes, dropping his head.
With that a black from Farouk's end occurred, spelling the nightmare, but probably the beginning of a strange dream world to behold.

Meanwhile, inside a big hooded sitting area at a bus stop, with the yellowish orange evening sun rays and still breeze, Gloria, in a pink sweat shirt with a white cat face motif and black felt trousers, sat with her left side pressed against the wall. She held up her phone, pressed against her face as it rang feverishly. From her stiffened breathing, she was probably panicked with her frozen stares.
"Farouk, where are you?!" She softly yelled.
"Somewhere safe."
Not coming from the phone, those words shot from above as Gloria looked up, watching a tall Caucasian skinned man staring down at her, in a long black jacket and trousers with low-cut black hair. It's like she wanted more, but that cold distance couldn't be salvaged.
Now the girl winced as her body withdrew. "Now just who are you?"
"Colonel Edeagwu." His deep voice as he pocketed hands. "And I'm the C.E.O of Optimum." He pulled a small silver badge from his clothes, the same one on the chest of that man that injected and saved Farouk.
Her gut was wrenched. How could he know so easily? Something in his calm voice felt off.
"You see dear." He brought it back into its origin. "Normally, I would have one of my subordinates do this but I learnt you're my son's boyfriend, so why not?" He chuckled lightly. "May I have a seat?"
Gloria stared at Colonel, just before nodding as he sat in a free space beside her." He was captured by a rival gang of ours we still can't name, sadly." He scoffed, averting eyes from Gloria. "Before we rescued him this evening… now briefing him at our headquarters."
Gloria simply maintained her gaze at him, before Colonel turned back smiling.
"My my, it's funny, really, Gloria… you still can't learn not to trust strangers… but I'll tell you this."
He shifted his frame to his right. "We need you to come with us as a witness and a close friend of Farouk lately to put an end to Segun's madness."
Gloria still focused her sight on him with a straight face.
"I will explain everything to you he plans to do to your school and if I'm correct, to others as well where his gang attends and works at." Colonel wore the same expression as her. "I will prove everything to you that what I'm saying is true right now… So tell me… are you in?"
The lady looked down, before beaming with a sparkle in her eye, nodding at him. This series is about to go nuts.
