The Day of Change
Before 3/6/2066, the world was ordinary.
Nations argued, cities grew taller, diseases came and went as they always had. Humanity believed it understood the rules of life, even if it hadn't mastered them yet.
That belief ended on March 6th, 2066.
At exactly 11:47 UTC, the first Grand Void Gates appeared.
They were impossible to ignore—massive structures hovering slightly above the ground, 200 meters wide and 50 meters tall, shaped like open doors leading into absolute darkness. No alarms had predicted them. No satellites had detected their arrival. They simply were, scattered across oceans, deserts, forests, and cities alike.
And from them poured Void Energy.
The First Changes
At first, the changes were subtle.
Diseases behaved strangely. Some vanished overnight, erased as if they had never existed. Others mutated, becoming resistant to every known treatment—or transforming into entirely new illnesses with unfamiliar symptoms. Doctors and scientists were the first to realize something was wrong, but even they couldn't explain it.
Then the Void Energy spread deeper.
Plants grew faster, thicker, sometimes glowing faintly at night. Animals began to show abnormal behavior. Some became stronger, smarter, more aggressive. Others twisted into things that no longer fit any known species.
By the end of the first year, humanity had a name for them:
Void Beasts.
Void Affinities
Not all changes were the same.
Void Energy did not act randomly—it aligned.
Those affected began to show one of ten Void Affinities, each shaping how the energy manifested:
Dark – shadows, decay.
Light – radiance, purification.
Earth – stone, soil.
Fire – heat, combustion.
Water – fluidity, healing.
Wind – speed, air.
Metal – sharpness, durability.
Ice – cold, preservation.
Electricity – speed, neural control.
Wood – life, regeneration.
