"You call yourselves Bailey family bodyguards? Have some spine. Begging for mercy just because you can't win? How pathetic is that?" I watched Harold snap at them, his voice cutting through the tension. "And another thing, Katie is not the one in charge of the Bailey family now. Do you insist on following her?"
The lead bodyguard's eyes suddenly brightened. His voice shook as he carefully suggested, "So... Mr. Harold Bailey, why don't you take us in? Our skills might not be top-notch, but we are very obedient!"
"That's right! We're very useful. Just point, and we'll attack!"
"We're the perfect cannon fodder for suicide missions. You'll see how useful we are when you use us."
"We're all willing to follow you. We can be the unlucky ones you send to charge into battle and die for you."
Alan, Lucas, and I almost broke into laughter listening to these bodyguards pitch themselves.
They'd somehow managed to turn this tense confrontation into pure comedy.
