Author's Note
The two mysterious warriors shown at the end of Chapter 48 are none other than Goku and Vegeta from the Dragon Ball universe.
This scene is intentionally written as a subtle crossover hint, teasing the future connection between the Multiverse King and the Dragon Ball universe.
Their dialogue is meant to show the sheer scale of power difference—where even gods are cautious, and legends hesitate.
This is only a foreshadowing, not a full crossover yet.
The real convergence will happen when the story reaches the point where Leo must step beyond his own universe.
The morning air was thin and cold.
Leo stood on the rooftop of the hotel, balanced on a single finger.
Not his foot.
Not his palm.
One finger.
His entire body was perfectly vertical, unmoving—like gravity itself had decided to obey him.
Below him, the city slowly woke up. Distant horns. Early footsteps. A world unaware that a storm was approaching.
Leo exhaled slowly.
Then—
He pushed.
His body shot upward in a sharp burst, flipping mid-air before landing back on the same finger, perfectly balanced again.
Crack.
The concrete beneath him fractured slightly.
Behind him, Chen Wei clicked his tongue.
"Still insane," he muttered.
Chen Wei stood a few meters away, mirroring Leo—but on one leg instead of a finger. His muscles trembled as he maintained the pose, sweat rolling down his face.
"You know," Chen Wei said, forcing a grin,
"normal people stretch before tournaments."
Leo didn't respond immediately.
His eyes were closed.
"I'm not training my body," Leo finally said.
"I'm training control."
Chen Wei sighed. "Of course you are."
He adjusted his stance, then suddenly leapt, throwing a rapid series of air punches—sharp, precise, controlled. Each strike cut through the wind without sound, as if power was being held back deliberately.
Leo opened his eyes.
Good, he thought. He's learned restraint too.
Just then—
Bzzzt.
A phone vibrated on the rooftop floor.
Chen Wei landed and frowned. "Hospital call?"
Leo's finger touched the ground. He stood normally and picked up the phone.
The name on the screen froze him.
Yuna.
He answered immediately.
"Yuna?"
Her voice came through—soft, but tense.
"Leo… I'm sorry to call so early."
"It's okay," Leo said quickly. "Is something wrong?"
There was a brief pause.
"She hasn't woken up," Yuna said.
"But… something changed."
Leo's grip tightened.
"Changed how?"
Yuna took a breath.
"Her heart rate stabilized last night. The doctors don't understand why—it was sudden."
"And… she was crying."
Leo's chest felt tight.
"Crying…?"
"Yes," Yuna whispered.
"Tears. Even though she's still in a coma."
Chen Wei noticed Leo's expression change and quietly stepped closer, listening without interrupting.
Yuna continued, voice shaking slightly.
"Leo… she kept murmuring something."
"What did she say?" Leo asked.
"…your name."
Silence fell between them.
Yuna swallowed.
"The tournament is tomorrow, right?"
"Yes."
"…Then please," Yuna said softly,
"come back alive."
Leo closed his eyes.
"I will," he said. "I promise."
After the call ended, the rooftop felt heavier.
Chen Wei broke the silence.
"She's strong," he said. "Both of them are."
Leo nodded.
He looked toward the horizon, where dark clouds were slowly gathering.
"The tournament isn't the real fight," Leo said quietly.
Chen Wei smirked. "Yeah. I figured."
Leo clenched his fist—then relaxed it.
"Tomorrow," he said,
"everything changes."
The wind rose.
And somewhere far away, unseen forces began to move.
The tournament had not yet begun—
but the countdown had.
