Chapter 185: Shui Yue'er Wants to Scam People
The Thunder Academy delegation arrived in the afternoon. After being assigned rooms and tidying up a little, it was already lunchtime. Everyone from Thunder Academy, including Yu Tianlin, came out of their rooms and gathered in small groups, preparing to head to the cafeteria for a meal.
Just then, a girl wearing the Skywater Academy uniform suddenly appeared in the Thunder Academy rest area.
She had short dark green hair, a petite figure, and a slightly childish face that made her look very young. After scanning the Thunder Academy crowd, she shouted, "Who is Yu Tianlin?"
"Yu Tianlin, you're something else. You look like you don't know anything, but I didn't expect you to already hook up with someone." Lei Tian, who stood beside Yu Tianlin, nudged him twice with his elbow and teased in a low voice, "You've been here less than half a day, and a girl already came to you on her own. I admire you."
"Please don't tease me," Yu Tianlin said, glancing at him. "Besides, I don't even know this girl."
"You don't recognize her?" Lei Tian curled his lip. "Stop joking."
"I can't be bothered to explain." Yu Tianlin knew it was pointless, so he shook his head helplessly, then stepped forward and said to the girl, "I'm Yu Tianlin. Do you need something from me?"
The moment Yu Tianlin stepped out, the girl's eyes lit up. She sized him up carefully, then muttered under her breath, "He doesn't look very capable. He looks like a pretty boy. I wonder what he's really like."
Hearing that, Yu Tianlin did not know whether to laugh or cry.
Pretty boy was probably a compliment, right? Yes, that had to be it. She sounded like she was talking bad about him, but the subtext was basically praising his face.
"Alright, come with me." The girl stopped muttering, waved at Yu Tianlin, and said, "Someone wants to see you."
Someone wants to see me.
Her words instantly stirred something in Yu Tianlin's heart.
He did not know many people at Skywater Academy. The only one he knew was that person.
With that thought, Yu Tianlin followed the girl under the slightly envious gazes of the Thunder Academy students.
As they walked along the paths inside Skywater Academy, Yu Tianlin asked, "Little sister, can you tell me who wants to see me?"
The girl did not answer. Instead, she said, "Don't call me little sister. I'm much older than you."
Yu Tianlin was stunned.
Although he was only 13, his physical development far surpassed his peers because he had absorbed 4 powerful Spirit Rings. He looked like a 17 or 18 year old youth.
From appearance alone, Yu Tianlin obviously looked older than the girl, yet she was completely convinced she was older. That meant she knew Yu Tianlin's real age.
Sure enough, her next words confirmed his guess. "Hmph. I know you're only 13, but I'm 14 now. You should call me older sister."
Ever since entering the upper grades of Skywater Academy, she had always been the youngest among those students. Now that she suddenly met someone even younger, she became excited and kept urging, "Quick, call me sister. Call me sister!"
"I understand." Yu Tianlin did not follow her lead. In that instant, he realized her identity and said with burning eyes, "You're Shui Yue'er, Shui Bing'er's younger sister. Shui Bing'er sent you to find me this time, right?"
Yu Tianlin had no acquaintances at Skywater Academy besides Shui Bing'er. Yet this unfamiliar girl not only came straight to him, she even knew his age. That was clearly information she heard from Shui Bing'er. So she had to be someone close to Shui Bing'er.
And Shui Bing'er did have a younger sister. Combined with the age she just revealed, the answer was obvious.
"Ah, you're pretty clever. You actually guessed it." Seeing that Yu Tianlin had nailed it, the girl did not deny it at all. She admitted it openly. "That's right, I'm Shui Yue'er. My sister asked me to come find you."
Hearing Shui Bing'er's name, Yu Tianlin felt a bit guilty. "What does Shui Bing'er want with me?"
"Hmph." Shui Yue'er looked irritated. "Before, every time she went to Thunder Academy to look for you, you were never there. Now that you've come to our Skywater Academy, She won't be like you and just disappear."
"It's not that I didn't want to see your sister. I really had things to do and wasn't at Thunder Academy," Yu Tianlin explained, but it was clearly useless. He could only ask, "Then how many times has your sister gone to Thunder Academy looking for me?"

Since Shui Yue'er said so, Yu Tianlin stopped hesitating and followed her into the building.
As far as he knew, Shui Bing'er and Shui Yue'er's mother was the dean of Skywater Academy. Even if something happened, she could probably smooth it over because of their friendship, so Yu Tianlin was not too worried.
