Seeing that there was no more point on dwelling on this, I currently had intention in risking my life by going there, I already had a strong belief that this place where the Immortals were, wasn't as peaceful as the book tried to make it look like, I dropped the whole subject .
As I turned the page, I couldn't help but feel a little bit loss and shake my head in disappointment after being reminded by Master's words, about him not having the ability to access treasures that could help me recover my vitality .
The reason I wanted to heal my Blood Vitality was that it was both crucial and also needed to blind the eyes of those who might come in contact with me, crucial because I think that it was better to fix all the problems with my body ane be certain that everything was okay, trying not to leave any danger that might come bite me later .
As for it blinding the eyes of those who I came contact with, that was even more crucial, because if people become interested on how a person who had no Blood Vitality and yet was able to practice Martial Arts and even become outstanding, then they will certainly try to understand how was something like that possible .
I have a nagging feeling that hiding behind my compensation and saying that it was able to make up for the lack of vitality won't be enough to fool many, so to guard my real secrets, I need to find something that should be able to fix my problem .
Thinking like this, I couldn't help but flip through the pages trying to find something that I might able to do or use, after browsing through the first half of the book, I was able to understand a few things .
This book should have said that there was some Treasures that hadn't gone extinct, other than saying there was some that were extinct, actually I'm alread halfway through the book and hadn't seen yet a glimpse of a herb stalk or anything that could be still found, all the Treasures mentioned in the first half were not available .
There hadn't been even one encounter of meeting one of those treasures recorded, it reinforced my guess about them existing in that other place where Immortals live even more, I'm beginning to believe that some of the things I read inside this book might really be made up, one they were so vague in terms of names, like : Chaos Lotus Of World Beginning, Millennium Jade Milk .
In the catalogue in front of me, there wasn't only edible Herbs and strange Plants, there were also, Pills that had quite imposing names, Fate-Open Pill, Heaven-Fortune Pill, Nine-Yang Pill, Nine-Yin Pill, Five-Elements Qi Pill .
All those Pills were of the Immortal-grade as well, but there were no pill recipes on how to make them, not even an illustration, they were only mentioned together with another bunch of Pills and other treasures .
Another thing that I was able to notice, was that the catalogue in hand had different kinds of things in it, Pills for an example wasn't considered Treasures Of Heavens And Earth, I had read before that pills were made by the mix of Heaven-earth Treasures and their effects were optimized because of that, the pills I saw was put in the catalogue because of their effects perhaps .
The reason to why I wasn't completely certain, was because there was not even the slightest mention of what those Pills do, other than those Pills, there was also the mention of some Ancient and Mythical Monsters eggs .
Creatures that I only heard of their names back in my previous world and were nothing but a myth, Black Tortoise-shell Egg, Vermillion-Bird Egg, Moonshadow wolf Egg and a few other big names like Dragon, Phoenix, the more I read the more I felt that I might be losing my sanity, or I might have already lost it, I'm not sure .
Those eggs were being cultivated and raised to be a good company to their Masters and to fight with him in time of good and bad, the things mentioned to cultivate this kind of relationship were numerous, but I only stored them in mind and didn't dwell much on them .
Otherwise I might really lose it here, they were numerous and just from their names, I was able to see that they were all extinct as well, so that was a relief, if not for the calming effect that weird smoke had on me, I might have really wanted to curse out loud at the unjust, those monsters were eating some Immortal grade Treasures almost daily and not to mention the Pills needed to be provided for them .
Already feeling impatient and even the weird smoke was no longer as effective as before in suppressing it, I in the decided that I should finish this book as fast as I could and maybe ask uncle Li, if I could burn it after I finished it .
I browsed through the other pages in the book and finally finished it and put to the side, I was staring absent-mindedly in front of me, completely at loss for what to do with the information I got from this booklet .
There were 3 grades to Heaven-earth that were now known to me after reading this book, Human/Mortal, Spirit, Immortal, how and why the grade was like this, I don't know, what I know was that their were some Spirit-grade Heaven-earth Treasures that weren't actually extinct, they varied in their kinds as well, some were Herbs, Ores and even Monsters Eggs .
There were also some Spirit-grade Pills that I saw that were extinct like, the Beast Transformation Pill, Yin-Soul Pill, Foundation-Building Pill and a few more others, as uncle Li had previously mentioned all the Pills that we have are those of Mortal grades .
I was happy at seeing that there were at least some spiritual herbs and fruits that were beneficial to the practice of Martial Arts, but there tons others that were more inclined to other vague concepts and uses, Spiritual Qi was a term that tended to appear quite a lot, together with the term Spiritual Roots, those terms should be related to how Immortals are practicing .
Some of the fruits were used to temper the bodies, there were also some vines that could be grind into powder and sprayed all over the skin and other items leaned towards a specific element, some were more extreme than others, the best way to take them was for them to be refined into Pills .
While there were still a bunch of other items that I still had no clue about how they were being used and what exactly were their effects, some of the items here in the booklet were not discussed in details .
Spirit-grade Ores for example other than the names and the change of the color of the illustration being used, there wasn't that much of details on them .
I was trying to cheer myself up, thinking that I was at least able to see some items that could help me improve my Martial Realm in a quick and swift manner, but I was still a bit sad about the fact that there was none of those items listed in the other half of the booklet that were effective in healing my loss of vitality .
But that thought suddenly got interrupted by another thought, did I have an utmost certainty in acquiring any of those items listed, even though the other half talked about a mix between Spirit-grade and Mortal-grade treasures, any of the Treasures that were mentioned, wasn't as effective as those Immortal-grade treasures or even the treasures that were labeled extinct .
But they were still resources that war might break for just a chance of acquiring them, but in my mind, I keep thinking that finding them and getting hold of them were quite easy, not to mention that in the book, it was mentioned that unless someone were to plant those Mortal-grade treasures himself, the chances of him being able to encounter them in a favorable situation was quite low .
That was the case of all these wonders of Heaven-earth without discriminating and without caring about the grade, so if acquiring those Mortal-grade ones were already this difficult, I can't even imagine how difficult will it be to try and acquire the even more precious Spirit-grade Treasures .
I should focus more currently on increasing my strength, if I were to have even the slightest chance in competing for them in the future, it seemed that wars here didn't start for essential resources like food and water, but Martial Arts resources were completely and entirely different thing altogether, I can already imagine the bloodshed that the appearance of a treasure of that caliber can lead to .
As I thought like this, I couldn't help but look at the book beside me and wonder if that was one of the reasons to why many of the items illustrated in this book were said to have never been encountered or any of those encounters recorded .
Yes, I was beginning to think that the reasons to why some of those items weren't documented was because those who discovered them understood how much of a risk to have them, so they might have kept them hidden or got rid of them, even if this meant destroying the precious item itself .
I can understand the reasoning, I would have made the same choice if I were to find a precious herp or item and without having enough strength to protect that item of mine, seeing that even trying to sell it might bring a disaster to my doorstep, I would find no other choice but to hand it over then .
So instead of needing to go through all of this, I might destroy it directly and not let anyone benefit from it, it might sound wasteful, but doing any other thing might end up backfiring on me, for example a narrow minded person seeing me fleeing or even simply in the area and successfully finding something .
I can imagine him coming into a false conclusion, he would think that I had gotten something even better and directly try to target me for it, for something that I didn't even have, at that time, the only thing that will determined my life and death would be how much the opponent's fist compared to mine .
So to remove any threat to myself, destroying that treasure would be the best thing to do, but if I were willing to risk it all, even without knowing the value of the treasure in front of me, I might able to hide it from all the prying eyes and keep it for my own use or for the later younger generation of my family .
As for trying to sell it, no matter whether that treasure of Mortal-grade or Spirit-grade one, it will be eyed by numerous people and with how chaotic this world was, I'm certain that whoever would do something this reckless will be hunted down relentlessly by all those who were interested in that object .
hope whoever would do this or who had might had already done this, my best wishes in his next life, he had helped with adding another encounter to confirm the existence of an item that might have been considered extinct by many people at the cost of his own life, he was worthy of my respects .
It was reasonable to think that those Big Families might have a stalk or two of a variety of those items in store, if I had known about this earlier, I might have asked Young Master Lu Jian to give me access to choose a Medicinal Herb or two, he would have probably chose to fight me instead than to grant me my request, it was quite reasonable reaction .
Dragon-Vein Root, that was the Spirit-grade medicinal herb that could be able to replenish the severe loss of Blood Vitality I was suffering from currently, it didn't only replenish the consumed Blood Vitality, but it enhanced it as well and had a slight chance to make those who consume it to give birth to a faint strand of of Azure Qi in the Dantian, it also extended lifespan by 30 years .
I had no clue about what exactly most of this meant, all I knew was that there were some huge benefits for me if I were to eat that herb, this was the only spiritual herb that was mentioned to have the replenishing effect on Blood Vitality .
The only one whose effects were clearly mentioned, but sadly that herb was one of those treasures that were extinct, but the thought of someone might have been able to get hold of a stalk or two but just was maybe hiding them cleverly or it may be in the hands of those big families, those thoughts revitalized my hopes again .
After I finished gathering my thoughts, I had mixed feelings about the information that I was able to siphon from that book, I was glad that I got to know many different things, but I was also frustrated at the fact that almost every Heaven-earth Treasure that might have quite a drastic effect was either extinct or have not been seen in ages .
I'm not also clear about when exactly this book was written, but I can tell from the yellow pages inside that it was written from a very long time ago, yet from Uncle Li words, it seemed that this was the most authentic book that was related to Heaven-earth Treasures, I couldn't help but associate it with Immortals too .
After all most of the items that were mentioned in that book was more inclined to Qi and Immortals, so either they once roamed these lands or that book came from the place they were in to begin with .
I couldn't wrap my head around them using such outdated catalogue and treating it as the most authentic resource of information, just as I was engrossed in my own thoughts, I suddenly heard the voice of my Senior Brother saying :
Why are you so reckless, I had told you that you should have tried to take advantage of this opportunity to the fullest, yet you seemed to have used most of this opportunity to read a book and it is a book that you could have used any other time to read it .
My senior brother said this with a berating tone and I was able to tell that he was standing right behind me, due to the fact that he was putting his hand on my shoulder, as I heard his voice, I turned to look at him and just as I did that, I saw a scene that made me jump off from my sitting position out of fear .
As I did this, I felt some pain suddenly assault me, it seemed that my head injuries weren't completely healed as I thought, but what shocked me more than my current senior brother's appearance, was the fact that white mysterious smoke had completely dissipated as if it was never there .
The face of my Senior Brother almost gave me a heart attack, his eyes were currently red and his face was pale and his breathing seemed more rigid than his normal, he looked a bit like Lu Sun after he swallowed that weird red pill .
What weirded me the most was the fact that even though he was in such a state, he was actually still smiling as if he was happy about something which was for me who was already scared for my life, even more scared .
The weird smoke effect on me was now gone and even though I was still feeling some pain, I was now certain that it had some pain alleviating effect and that it helped healing me to some extent, but not completely .
I missed the effect it had on making my thoughts more clearer, but I didn't have much time to be dwelling on this, I was now taking a fighting stance and was ready to use all my strength to fight back .
What's up with you getting all worked up as if you had seen some great enemy, don't tell me that you have fell to the illusions here, this will be quite disappointing, or did the hit I gave you affected your memories or are you just holding a grudge .
As I saw that the person in front of me didn't seem to have intention to attack and hearing what he said, I calmed down a little and returned to standing straight as before, but his reddened eyes made me have one question in mind .
