Chapter 31 - Chapter 30 — Devouring the Laws of the Universe & The Spy’s Decision

The Tesseract floated in Su Chen's palm, humming like a caged engine ready to rip the world apart. Up close, it didn't look like a simple cube anymore — it was a compressed universe, its layers folding and unfolding in patterns that made the human eye twitch.

Even Su Chen felt it.

Not the awe — but the mismatch.

This thing… didn't belong to him.

Not yet.

He rotated the cube slowly, watching blue energy ripple under its crystalline shell. It was powerful, yes. But power tied to the physics of this specific universe.

If he brought it back to his Earth?

The energy would collapse into useless space-static.

"Pretty," Su Chen muttered, flicking the cube upward. "But dead weight."

The Tesseract spun in the air.

He didn't reach for the object.

He reached for the equation inside it — the root code buried within the Infinity Stone.

His aura shifted. Silver light crawled across his body like liquid metal. His Lich Spirit snapped awake behind his eyes, burning green. Space trembled around him, fracturing like thin glass.

[ Target Locked: The Tesseract (Space Stone) ]

[ Analysis: Local-Law Constraint Detected ]

[ Action: Concept Extraction ]

"I don't need the stone," he whispered. His voice was calm, steady. "I want the Authority."

CRACK.

The copied Tesseract shattered midair like fragile ice.

Except the pieces didn't fall.

They reversed direction, collapsing inward, piercing through Su Chen's chest like streams of light. The rooftop darkened around him as the blue radiance fused into his bones, his cells, his consciousness.

The world warped.

His heartbeat was suddenly the loudest sound in the universe.

[ Law Assimilation Detected ]

[ Skill Obtained: Space Authority — Sovereign Rank ]

[ Description: Manipulate spatial structure. Teleportation unrestricted. Create, fold, or delete distance in any dimension. You are no longer bound by external media. ]

Su Chen exhaled.

Space obeyed.

A step forward became two steps. A step back landed him beside the Tesseract machine. He didn't even consciously choose the direction — space reorganized itself around his intention.

He smirked.

"Much better."

The Spy and the Broken Scepter

"Stop right there!"

Natasha Romanoff's voice cut through the rooftop wind. She leveled the Chitauri Scepter at his head — steady grip, steady breath, but her pulse betrayed her.

She'd watched him crush god-tier tech like cheap glass.

Yet she still stepped forward.

Classic widow move.

"You just absorbed something that terrifies literal gods," Natasha said, her tone clipped. "Whatever you are, you're not walking off this roof with more weapons."

Su Chen glanced at the Scepter.

"You're holding the Mind Stone," he said. "And you're using it like a pointy stick."

Natasha didn't wait. She went in low, stabbing the Scepter toward his heart — a direct thrust. Cold, efficient. The strike of someone who stopped caring about survival years ago.

The Scepter hit his chest.

CLINK.

It didn't even scratch him.

Su Chen caught the blade between two fingers.

Natasha triggered the Stone's mind control instantly.

Blue light surged into his eyes.

Nothing happened.

[ Mental Immunity (Lich Bloodline) ]

[ Reinforcement: Telekinetic Mind Barrier (S-Rank) ]

Su Chen tilted his head.

"No," he said softly. "You kneel."

He pulled.

Natasha was ripped off her feet, pulled right into his reach. He touched the casing around the Stone.

[ Target: Mind Stone (Scepter) ]

[ Action: Concept Extraction Initiated ]

A yellow shockwave detonated outward.

Su Chen's mind expanded like a submerged continent breaking the surface. Thoughts aligned. Noise vanished. Every Chitauri drone around the city lit up in his awareness like blinking beacons.

His earlier mental fatigue — gone.

[ Skill Acquired: Mind Authority — Sovereign Rank ]

[ Effect: Absolute Psionic Dominance. Planetary Telepathy. Inviolable Mind. ]

The Scepter dimmed in his hand. The Stone was already part of him.

Natasha rolled to her feet, guns drawn. She didn't fire.

She finally understood the scale of the monster in front of her.

"Who… what are you?" she asked.

"Recruiter," Su Chen replied.

He didn't invade her mind — he simply read the surface thoughts she couldn't hide.

The Red Room. The ledger. The guilt. The buried need for redemption she kept pretending didn't exist.

"Natasha Romanoff," Su Chen said quietly. "You're fighting for SHIELD because you think it balances the blood on your hands. But SHIELD is already infiltrated. HYDRA's wearing your symbol like a mask."

Her breath caught.

"What did you say?"

"I'm offering a way out," he said. "A real one. A world where your skills matter. Where the enemies aren't men in suits — but things that eat cities."

"And if I say no?"

"You die when the nuke detonates in thirteen minutes. Or you live long enough to watch your bosses salute Hydra."

Silence.

Then Natasha holstered her pistols.

"Fine," she said. "But if this is a trap—"

"You'll try to kill me. I know."

He offered a hand.

She took it.

[ Black Widow Recruited ]

[ Loyalty: 30 — Cautious Alliance ]

"Stay close," Su Chen said. "We still have two giants to deal with."

---

The Monster and the God

A thunderous roar split the sky.

Hulk landed on the terrace in a shockwave of pulverized concrete. He ripped a Chitauri chariot in half like wet paper, roaring at anything that moved.

Su Chen teleported onto his back.

"PUNY. MAN!"

The Hulk tried to grab him.

Su Chen didn't resist. He placed one hand on Hulk's skin.

[ Target: Hulk / Bruce Banner ]

[ Copyable Trait: Gamma Physiology — Anger Scaling ]

"Copy."

Something detonated inside Su Chen's bloodstream.

Power surged — wild, endless, dangerous.

[ Talent Acquired: Rage Force (S-Rank) ]

[ Effect: Strength grows infinitely with emotional agitation or prolonged combat. No upper limit. ]

[ Passive: Gamma Radiation Immunity ]

"Oh… that's good," Su Chen muttered.

Hulk swung a mountain of a fist.

Su Chen caught it with one hand.

The roof cracked from the shockwave.

"Go smash things," Su Chen said, throwing the Hulk off the building.

Lightning cracked behind him.

Thor dropped from the sky, Mjolnir sparking.

"STRANGE BEING! ARE YOU FRIEND OR FOE?!"

"A tourist," Su Chen said.

Shadow Step.

Tap.

[ Target: Thor Odinson ]

[ Copyable Attributes Detected ]

• Asgardian Physiology

• Divine Lightning Affinity

"Copy."

[ Constitution +50 ]

[ Skill: Thunder Call (Divine Lightning) ]

[ Passive: Lightning Immunity ]

Thor blinked. "...Thank you?"

Su Chen tapped his shoulder once.

"No problem."

Up above, Tony Stark flew past with the nuclear missile.

Su Chen didn't interfere — he didn't need to.

As Tony crossed him, Su Chen extended his Mind Authority gently into Stark's consciousness.

Not to control.

To copy.

Arc Reactor schematics. Suit architecture. Nano-fabric blueprints. All downloaded in a heartbeat.

"Appreciate the tech, Tony," Su Chen murmured.

---

The Exit

The Chitauri mothership exploded. Their soldiers dropped lifeless.

Tony fell back through the portal. Hulk caught him with a grunt.

On the rooftop, Natasha stared at the ruined sky.

"It's over," she said. "We won."

"You won the battle," Su Chen corrected, opening a dimensional tear. "The war's nowhere close."

He grabbed her waist.

"Brace yourself. First jump is the worst."

"Wait—my gear—"

"I copied everything. You now have infinite guns."

FLASH.

Both vanished from the MCU.

Return — The Black Behemoth

Pacific Coastline

Inside the truck's living room

A blue vortex snapped open.

Su Chen stepped out with Natasha in his arms.

Esdeath paused mid-cleaning. Saeko stopped meditating. Xiao Yi Xian froze with her teacup.

"…Another girl?" Esdeath asked, unimpressed. "This one doesn't even have qi."

"She's a spy," Su Chen said. "Kills governments for a living."

Natasha surveyed the living room — the Dungeon Core, the nightmare beast napping in the corner, the high-tech lab fused with fantasy architecture.

"Toto…" she muttered, "this is definitely not Kansas."

Su Chen sat on his throne chair, feeling the power settling in his body:

Space Authority.

Mind Authority.

Infinite Strength Scaling.

Asgardian Durability.

He had stepped out of the Elite bracket entirely.

He was approaching demigod territory.

" Saya," Su Chen called.

She looked up.

He materialized a drive from creation matter and tossed it to her.

"Arc Reactor tech. Replace the diesel generator. The truck runs on cold fusion from now on."

He turned to Saeko.

"And your new training regimen? Simple — learn to channel fury. I'll teach you."

He finally looked at Jiang Rou at the navigation console.

"Set our course."

"Boss, to where? We just killed the Void Leviathan. What's left?"

Su Chen's eyes glowed faintly blue.

"The Leviathan was only the pet."

Everyone froze.

"The real signal is coming from a dimensional fracture in the Mariana Trench. A world made entirely of chaos and hunger."

He stood.

"We're going to the Abyss."
