"I thought we would be separated forever after you severed our bond, but you… you actually found me, husband!" The faerie happily rubbed her cheek against his chin, her gesture was so tender that it made them look like a pair of lovers truly meant to be together.
Yet, Kael still remembered the countless horrific dreams and the agony he had endured.
He wanted to push her away and checked her eyes, just to make sure he wasn't mistaking a random faerie for his beloved.
Before he could do so, she lifted her head and looked at him with her enchanting violet eyes.
"What do you think of me in real life? Am I beautiful?" the faerie asked.
Kael stared into those violet eyes—the only part of her he could ever retain once he woke. She felt unbearably familiar, as if he had seen her many times before, spoken to her, lived beside her, or maybe even touched her in real life.
But whenever he tried to recall more, a sharp headache struck, leaving his mind completely blank.
