"Who's there?"
Leo's voice demanded coldly as he took slow strides towards the corner where I was hiding.
Oh no, what if he sees me?
My breath quickened in anxiety and without thinking, I immediately slipped silently into a nearby private room to avoid being seen.
I gulped nothing down my throat in panic, my fingers trembled as I tried to keep my phone in my bag.
If Leo gets hold of me, would he kill me to silence me?
No, Leo wouldn't do such a thing, he'd rather imprison me for life than let me die easily or I'd be locked in the pack house and he'd try to steal my eyes…
I reflexively touched my eyes, fear filling me as I shook my head vigorously.
No… I can't let him see me… at least not this time. I haven't fully prepared to face him and Chris isn't here either.
Suddenly, the sound of footsteps approaching filled the air, my body froze and I held my breath, my heart thudding frantically in my chest as I prayed to the moon goddess to shield me.
