Chapter 38 - Chapter 38 — Dimensional Gate: The World That Must Be Saved Dimensional City — Conference Hall, Morning

The sun rose over Dimensional City, casting a golden glow across the sprawling high-tech structures, magic-tech pylons, and airborne transport pods drifting along their programmed routes. Residents of every race bustled through the streets—goblins, dwarves, kijin, lizardmen, treants, humans, and newly settled orcs.

The world was changing.

And Takumi was about to change it even further.

After bidding farewell to Gazel Dwargo, Rimuru stretched lazily.

"Alright, everyone, let's disband—"

"Wait."

Takumi raised a hand.

His tone was calm.

Too calm.

Which instantly made Rimuru nervous.

"Takumi… why do I feel like you're about to cause trouble again?"

Takumi smiled.

"Because I am."

Rimuru: "…"

Benimaru, Shuna, Shion, Souei, Rigurd, Kagaya, Kanae, and all Demon Slayer Pillars gathered around Takumi as he strode toward the main conference hall.

Everyone exchanged confused looks.

But they followed without question.

Because when Takumi used that voice, it meant something big was coming.

Inside the Conference Hall

Takumi took the central seat, Rimuru sitting next to him. The rest formed a semicircle.

"Takumi," Kagaya said gently, "what happened?"

Takumi tapped the table.

A holographic screen flickered into existence.

A world—broken, red, cracked—appeared.

Countless monstrous silhouettes crawled across the surface.

Everyone stared, jaws tight.

Rimuru frowned. "What is this world? It looks… devastated."

Takumi leaned back.

"Last night, the Civilization System notified me that the Dimensional Gate finished charging."

The room tensed.

Shion was confused. "Dimensional Gate? That weird glowing door in your room?"

"Yes," Takumi nodded. "It can connect to other worlds. And last night, it anchored a new set of world coordinates."

He narrowed his eyes.

"The world it connected to is called Black Bullet."

Kagaya's expression stiffened.

Souei moved a hand toward his blade.

Benimaru raised an eyebrow.

Rimuru tilted his head. "Black Bullet…? Never heard of it."

Takumi's voice grew cold.

"It's an apocalyptic world. Entire continents are overrun by monsters called Gastrea. Humanity hides in isolated cities protected by fragile barriers… and lives in paranoia."

"That sounds awful," Shuna whispered.

Takumi clenched his fist.

"That isn't what makes me angry."

His killing intent leaked out.

The air froze.

Even Hakurou's face hardened.

"Takumi," Rimuru said quietly, "what did they do?"

Takumi projected the next image.

Children.

Little girls.

Some smiling, some crying, some bruised.

"This world…" Takumi growled, "…produced children infected with trace Gastrea virus—these kids gain superhuman strength."

Rimuru blinked. "That sounds like a blessing?"

Takumi slammed the table.

"It SHOULD be. But instead, the world brands them 'Cursed Children'."

Everyone fell silent.

Takumi continued, voice shaking with fury.

"They treat them like monsters. They beat them. Torture them. Kill them. These children—innocent girls under twelve—are abused daily."

Shion's face darkened.

Benimaru cracked his knuckles.

Kanae bit her lip while her aura flared dangerously.

Giyu murmured, "That is… unforgivable."

Kagaya closed his eyes in pain.

"They even blame the children for crimes they didn't commit," Takumi said. "Their government ignores everything. Sometimes even encourages it."

The air turned murderous.

Rimuru stood.

"Takumi."

Takumi looked at him.

"You want to save them, don't you?"

Takumi nodded.

"I'm going to wipe out every single abuser and corrupt human in that world. But…"

He looked around the room.

"…I can't rescue millions of children alone."

Rigurd and Kagaya stiffened.

"T–Takumi-sama…" Rigurd whispered, face pale. "…millions…?"

"Yes," Takumi said calmly. "I plan to bring every Cursed Child back to Dimensional City."

Rigurd fainted.

Kagaya barely remained awake.

The rest of the room erupted.

"WHAAAAT?!" Rimuru screamed.

"Millions of children?!" Shuna squeaked.

"Lord Takumi, that is not called rescuing—that is called kidnapping the entire next generation!" Benimaru yelled.

Takumi raised a hand.

"Quiet. I know it sounds insane. But we have the manpower."

The hologram shifted again.

The Garrison Corps—now over 10,000 elite soldiers—appeared.

"Benimaru. Your garrison can assist in the evacuation. Souei can infiltrate. The Demon Slayer Corps is ideal for extermination missions."

He turned to Rimuru.

"And you? Your compassion is exactly why I need you."

Rimuru's eyes widened.

"You want me to help you save them?"

Takumi nodded.

"This world… needs saving. Those girls deserve better. And Dimensional City is the perfect place to raise them."

He smirked.

"Besides… our city needs citizens, right?"

Rimuru blinked.

Then smiled softly.

"Takumi…"

He placed a hand on Takumi's shoulder.

"I'll help you."

The room exhaled in relief.

Souei bowed.

"For children treated like that… I will gladly cleanse their tormentors."

Benimaru grinned.

"Millions, huh? Alright! Let's build a bigger city!"

Shion pumped her fist. "I'll protect all the little girls!"

Kagaya: "Please… no more paperwork… please…"

Takumi clapped his hands.

"Good. Then tomorrow, we prepare."

Rimuru nodded.

And Takumi declared:

"Operation: World Rescue — Black Bullet begins soon."

Night — Takumi's Bedroom

After the meeting, Takumi collapsed onto his bed.

The Dimensional Gate hummed faintly in the corner.

He stared at the ceiling.

"This will be the biggest mission yet…"

He smirked.

"And the perfect test for Dimensional City's expansion potential."

The System chimed.

[Main Mission Unlocked: Salvation of the Cursed Children]

[Sub-Mission: Extermination of Gastrea Threat]

[Reward: Dimensional Civilization Advancement +30%]

Takumi's eyes glowed gold.

"Herrscher of Finality… and now a chance to reshape another world."

He closed his eyes.

"Tomorrow, Rimuru… we go save a world."

And with that, he drifted into sleep.
