Chapter 3 - Chapter 3 – The First Evolution and the Rise of Dimensional City

The night sky slowly faded as dawn approached. Soft morning light seeped through the dense canopy of the Great Jura Forest, washing away the traces of the fierce battle that took place hours before.

For Takumi and Rimuru, however, a new chapter of their journey was only beginning.

A Victory Echoing Through the Forest

The ground outside the Goblin Village still bore the enormous scar—nearly a thousand meters long and several meters deep—left behind by Takumi's sword strike of Finality-infused qi.

The Goblins, who were up at dawn to gather wood, stared at the trench with slack jaws.

"L-Lord Takumi created this…?"

"It's like a wound on the world itself…"

"Our future is secured… truly secured!"

Others simply burst into excited tears.

Meanwhile, the Fang Wolves—now kneeling as Rimuru's subordinates—quietly observed their new masters, fear and respect mixed within their gazes.

Takumi, still stretching lazily, could only smile awkwardly as the Goblins showered him with admiration.

[System, please update my prestige value]

[Ding. Prestige updated. Host is now known locally as: 'That Guy Who One-Shot an Entire Wolf Tribe.']

Takumi sighed.

"Can't you give me a more dignified title…?"

[Prestige titles are generated based on eyewitness descriptions.]

"…Fair."

Rimuru's Leadership Solidifies

Rimuru, still slightly dizzy from his new abilities, was surrounded by the Goblins eagerly awaiting his next command.

"Lord Rimuru, what shall we do now?" asked the Goblin Chief.

Rimuru hopped forward confidently.

"Well, since the wolves submitted, we don't need to fight anymore. Peace is best!"

Takumi chuckled, patting Rimuru's head.

"You're soft-hearted, but that's why people follow you."

Rimuru puffed up proudly.

"Of course! I'm amazing!"

Takumi: "Yes, yes."

Dimensional City Expansion – Level 2 Activation

Suddenly, Takumi's Civilization System emitted a chime.

[Ding! Conditions met. Dimensional City is advancing to Level 2. Beginning structural expansion.]

The ground beneath them trembled.

Holographic blue lines spread across the clearing like veins of light.

Futuristic platforms materialized, merging seamlessly with the Goblin Village. Wooden huts were enveloped by shimmering cubes of light.

Rimuru: "Whoa, whoa, whoa! Takumi! The village is glowing!"

Takumi grinned.

"This is my city system. It upgrades automatically when population and resources reach requirements."

"What's it doing now?!" Rimuru shouted as an entire row of Goblin huts transformed.

The cubes dissolved, revealing sturdy metallic shelters with energy-efficient roofs.

[Construction Complete: Level 1 Basic Housing Module × 20]

[Construction Complete: Basic Infrastructure – Water Purifier × 1, Energy Collector × 1]

The Goblins stood speechless.

"Th-This must be… a divine miracle…"

Takumi scratched his cheek.

"Not exactly divine… well, maybe half-divine."

Rimuru poked him.

"You're definitely not divine. More like a cheaty protagonist."

"Hey!"

The Fang Wolves, impressed by the sudden technological transformation, bowed deeper.

Takumi felt the pride bubbling up.

"From today onward… this Goblin Village becomes the first territory of Dimensional City."

The Goblins cheered so loudly the forest echoed.

Goblin Evolution – The Blessing of Two Leaders

As the expansion settled, Rimuru approached the Goblin Chief.

"We'll help you get stronger. You're too weak right now."

Takumi nodded.

"With my Finality energy and Rimuru's magicules, we can perform a joint blessing."

The System chimed.

[Notice: Blessing fusion detected. Recommended action – 'Civilization Blessing: Primitive Species Advancement.']

Takumi raised a brow.

"Ooh? System, explain."

[Civilization Blessing allows Host to evolve primitive beings into higher lifeforms through controlled Herrscher output combined with Rimuru's magicule displacement.]

Rimuru stared.

"You mean… we can evolve them without using my full naming cost?"

[Affirmative. Resource consumption will be shared between Host and Rimuru.]

Takumi smirked.

"Perfect. Let's get started."

Golden threads of Finality energy flowed from Takumi's hands.

Blue magicules swirled from Rimuru.

Together, they enveloped the Goblin tribe.

A brilliant wave of light washed over the village.

When it faded—

The once frail Goblins had grown taller, stronger, leaner.

Their spines straightened, muscles more defined.

Their eyes gleamed with clarity rather than fear.

"W-We evolved…!?"

The Goblin Chief—now a muscular, respectable-looking Goblin patriarch—knelt before Rimuru and Takumi.

"Thank you, my lords…"

Takumi's System notified him:

[Population Combat Effectiveness: Increased 340%]

[Dimensional City Loyalty: High]

Takumi tapped his chin.

"This is progressing nicely."

Rimuru looked at his own hands.

"And I barely used magicules… Takumi, your power is insane."

Takumi flashed a small smile.

"Just don't let me sneeze in a city one day."

The Goblins looked terrified.

The Fang Wolf Evolution

After receiving permission from Rimuru, the Fang Wolves approached, led by their new alpha—the white-maned one.

"Lord Rimuru, please allow us to evolve as well."

Rimuru nodded.

"Of course. You're my subordinates too."

Takumi lifted a hand.

"System, apply the same procedure."

[Acknowledged. Commencing Beast-Type Evolution Path: Tempest Shadow Wolves]

The Fang Wolves were bathed in Finality gold and Tempest-blue.

Their bodies expanded.

Their fur turned darker, sleeker—coated with faint ethereal shimmer.

Manes grew, eyes brightened, muscles strengthened.

When the light faded, dozens of majestic Shadow Wolves stood before them.

The white-maned wolf approached Rimuru.

"My lord, we offer our lives to the Tempest Banner."

Rimuru placed a slime-hand on his head.

"From today on, you are Ranga—the leader of the Shadow Wolves."

Thunder rolled faintly in the distance.

Takumi raised a brow.

"Rimuru, damn, even the sky reacting?"

Rimuru puffed up.

"I'm cool like that."

The Civilization System Expands Again

As both Goblins and Wolves evolved, Takumi's system chimed repeatedly.

[Population Strength Threshold Met] [Territory Stabilized] [Dimensional City unlocks new construction options]

Holographic screens surrounded Takumi.

Unlocks:

Training Hall (Lv. 1) – boosts combat proficiency.

Resource Extractor (Lv. 1) – mines surrounding minerals.

Dimensional Beacon Node (Lv. 1) – anchors otherworld signals.

City Guard Drones (Prototype) – automated defense units.

Takumi let out a low whistle.

"Oh, NOW we're talking."

Rimuru hopped to look at the screen.

"Takumi… your stuff looks like it came from a sci-fi anime."

Takumi smirked.

"No. This is the future empire of countless worlds."

Rimuru: "Oh boy, here comes the chuuni speech—"

Takumi struck a pose.

"With the Herrscher of Finality and the Civilization System, I—Takumi, Founder of Dimensional City—shall guide this world into an era of prosperity!"

Rimuru: "Yep, definitely chuuni."

Takumi: "Let me be cool for five seconds!"

Anime Regrets – The First Signal

As the sun rose and the newly evolved village bustled with excitement, Takumi's System suddenly issued an emergency alert.

[Warning: A Distress Signal from a Distant Dimension Detected.]

Takumi froze.

"Distress signal…?"

Rimuru looked concerned.

"From another world?"

A holographic projection flickered before Takumi.

A young anime girl—bruised, terrified—reached toward the screen.

『Help… someone… please… rewrite my fate…』

Takumi clenched his fists.

"This… this is what my System meant."

Rimuru asked softly:

"What do you mean?"

Takumi's eyes hardened.

"Dimensional City was built not just to conquer or survive."

"It exists to rewrite the tragedies of anime worlds."

"To save those who suffered unjust fates."

He stepped toward the glowing beacon.

"Prepare the Dimensional Gate. We're going to save her."

Rimuru's eyes widened.

"…A hero?"

Takumi smiled faintly.

"No. Just someone who refuses to let good people suffer."

The Gate shimmered. Golden energy pulsed through the city.

Dimensional City had found its purpose.

And Takumi was ready to begin his crusade across worlds.
