Chapter 3 - The Tyrant Palace

"Come in."

The door opened, and an old man who looked like he was in his late seventies slowly walked inside. No aura came from him, and he looked completely like an ordinary old man.

But for Reinh, who knew him well, he knew this man was once one of the greatest nightmares of the enemies of the Vorhelms.

"Young Master, your breakfast is ready. Will you come?" August spoke in a calm and gentle voice.

Reinh nodded and followed him to the large, fancy table. He sat down and, without saying anything extra, placed a piece of steak on the plate in front of him.

He quietly began to eat it. The old man stood beside him the whole time and said nothing.

The atmosphere of this palace was always like this, quiet and silent. This was how Reinh liked it, and because of that, the two other people who lived in this palace with him avoided talking as much as possible.

'Two more years until I can leave this palace,' he thought while pouring himself a glass of orange juice. His mind was focused on his plans and strategies.

The Tyrant Palace, this was the place where he had lived for the past ten years.

Illegitimate children were not allowed to live in the main palace of the clan and had to live away from it until they turned twelve, in a place known as the Tyrant Palace.

There were many reasons why this place was called the Tyrant Palace, but the biggest reason was its location.

After turning twelve, a child could return to the main palace of the clan, and if they had talent and passed the trial, they would be recognized as an official member of the family and allowed to continue their life there.

It was very rare for an illegitimate child to exist. Because of that, the Tyrant Palace had been empty for many years, and he was known as the only illegitimate child born in the past century.

In his past life, this fact was very disappointing for him, and he even blamed his mother and his illegitimate birth for his lack of talent, weakness, and helplessness.

But as he grew older, he realized how foolish and childish his thoughts were.

He slowly finished his breakfast and stood up. He went to the back of the palace and began warming up his body.

"Young Master, do you want to train? It is raining, and you might get sick," August sighed when he saw the young master warming up.

"It's fine." Reinh did not care and began running around the palace after warming up.

This was his daily routine so he could make his body strong enough to handle the powers of the Ancestral Dragon.

The Star of Eternal Ruins did not only let him use the skills and abilities of the dragon, it was much more than that. It allowed him to have a body and soul equal to the dragons.

Dragons were a legendary race that many people believed did not even exist. They were only mentioned in very ancient records.

Even he, in his past life, never knew they existed until he obtained the blood of the oldest dragon.

According to legends, dragons had the strongest bodies among all races, bodies that could even carry the sky itself.

Unfortunately, in his past life, he never managed to obtain the body of a dragon. For a long time, he did not know why, but later he learned the truth: his bone structure had already fully formed, and no change could be made to it.

Unless he found a way to completely destroy and rebuild his skeletal structure, but every possible method only led to his immediate death.

Luckily, in this life, he had the chance to obtain the body of a dragon. However, he still needed to make his body strong enough to survive the intense pressure that would happen during the structural transformation.

The rain began to fall harder, and his whole body became wet. The weather was extremely cold, and from the shaking of his eyelids, it was clear that even his body was getting cold.

Even though he had a monster-like willpower, he still had the body of a ten-year-old child, and no matter how much he trained, he could not endure such cold.

But he ignored it, and after running one hundred laps on the three-kilometer path, he stopped and started doing other endurance exercises.

Most of the movements he practiced were ones that would make his body stronger and also help him in swordmanship in the future.

August watched his young master from afar. His eyes were calm, and it was hard to tell what he was thinking. Still, deep inside those eyes, there was helplessness and a bit of anger.

"Young Master is training in this rain? Shouldn't we stop him?" a beautiful female voice sounded from behind him.

"There is no need to worry, and I don't think we can stop him," he answered without turning around.

Besides him and the young master, only one other person lived in the Tyrant Palace, a servant assigned to Reinh by the clan, Lia.

"I am really worried about him… a ten-year-old child should not push himself this hard. All the other kids his age are playing right now," Lia said with a worried and slightly irritated voice.

She was a beautiful woman with long brown hair and black eyes. She looked like she was in her thirties and was wearing a maid outfit.

August did not answer. He looked at the young master with calm eyes, and a memory of what happened ten years ago, at the moment of Reinh's birth, replayed in his mind.

"After the event he caused ten years ago, returning to the Garden of Crowns will not be peaceful. If he wants to survive there, he must endure all of this."
