After about 15 minutes, the next match begin.
Cloud and Fang Yue goes up to the arena.
"Who do you think will win, Uncle?" Xiao Han asked the city lord.
"It's the boy. I know my daughter's capabilities. Its not much different compared to your brother's. If the boy fight seriously and doesn't let his guard down, then he will certainly win." The city lord reply calmly.
Xiao Han nod in agreement. It is also what he thought.
Cloud's combat experience is just too far away compared to Fang Yue and Xiao Han who grew up in a sheltered environment.
"Aren't you worry that your daughter might get beaten up?"
"As you said, they need to experience some defeat to grow further. Also, its not like that boy have any bad intention. It should be alright." The city lord said calmly.
But still, its not like he's completely without worry. If Cloud goes too far, he is prepared to step up.
On the arena, the two greet each other in a daoist bow and enter their stances.
Cloud enter his Muay Thai stance while Fang Yue's stance is more of a graceful stance.
Unexpectedly, the one to make the first move is Cloud.
He dash forward with his top speed and midway, he turn and dash around in a zigzag manner.
Yes, he is copying Xiao Fan's movements.
While Cloud is slowly building up his speed, Fang Yue is frozen in shock.
She didn't expect that Cloud's first move would be this at all.
She expected a lot of things and already made preparations to counter but this, this is completely out of her expectations.
While Fang Yue still doesn't know how to react, Cloud's momentum has reached the peak.
He starts his attacks. A blow from all directions coming toward Fang Yue.
She quickly react to dodge the oncoming attacks. She moves around the arena gracefully.
Her speed is rather fast. It is comparable to Xiao Fan's. Which means, she is still faster than Cloud.
Cloud is having a hard time keeping up with the speed. All his attacks missed. But he keeps going without stopping.
Fang Yue on the other hand, although she can avoid all the attacks, she doesn't have the leeway to counter.
She can only continue dodging passively.
This scene went on for some time. Its a stalemate.
The movements of the two are still stable. It seems, nobody will slow down anytime soon.
Noticing this, Cloud stop chasing. He is changing tactics.
Seeing that Cloud stop chasing, Fang Yue also stop some distance away.
She wonder what her opponent is planning. But she didn't think too deeply.
Now is an opportunity for her to strike back.
She take the opportunity and quickly dash forward gracefully to attack.
She is trying to test the water first.
Seeing his opponent coming, Cloud also dash forward to meet her head on.
A palm and a fist collide in the middle. The strikes are equally strong. Nobody gain the upper hand.
Looking at the situation, Fang Yue quickly change tactics.
She jumped back to disengage then dash forward again. This time she doesn't attack. She is circling around Cloud, looking for opportunities.
Cloud stand in place while watching Fang Yue's movements. He prepare himself for the oncoming attacks.
After some time Fang Yue decides to attack first. She didn't find any openings so she plans to create one.
She attack Cloud from difficult angels. Mostly from his back.
Cloud is blocking the attacks but Fang Yue quickly retreat when that happens.
She is using a hit and run tactic.
Overtime, her attacks got faster and faster.
Cloud is getting overwhelmed. After all he is slower than his opponent.
He then move from his spot to make it harder for Fang Yue to attack.
He also dash around the arena.
But Fang Yue isn't going to let go of her advantage so easily. She keep chasing Cloud while continuing her attacks.
Since she is faster, she quickly catch up. The attacks continues and Cloud is back to his previous predicament.
Cloud quickly try to find a way to counter but Fang Yue's speed cannot be overcome so easily.
Then the corner of the arena enter his vision and a thought came to his mind.
Cloud quickly move to the corner of the arena. He stop there and turn to block Fang Yue's palm.
After being blocked Fang Yue jump back. Its not because she doesn't want to continue her attacks but its because she can't.
She mainly targets Cloud's back in her previous attacks. Now his back is against the corner of the arena.
There is no space for her to attack.
The arena doesn't have any railings. So normally, being at the corner is quite dangerous since you can easily fall.
But this danger is easily turned into advantage by Cloud. He doesn't need to worry about being pushed back since their strength are equal.
He also made it harder for Fang Yue to attack his back.
There is not much space behind Cloud. Only around one to two meters from the edge.
If Fang Yue force herself to attack from behind, then there would be a good chance that she would fall instead.
Since that's the case, Fang Yue try to attack from the front to push Cloud to the edge instead.
She doesn't dare to take a gamble and attack from behind.
But all of her attacks are futile. Cloud doesn't even budge an inch.
She keep trying and even adding more blows to her attacks but Cloud easily counter them with his experience.
He even starts to counter and Fang Yue need to block and avoid those.
After a while, Fang Yue stop attacking. She is thinking of a way.
But then Cloud suddenly move. He didn't attack Fang Yue. Instead, he move away from the corner.
This sudden move surprised everyone.
Even Fang Yue is stunned. What is he planning this time? She thought.
But she didn't think too much. Since Cloud has come out of his turtle shell then she would of course, resume her attacks.
She quickly move to do this and Cloud face her head on while dashing around the arena.
The scene quickly become just like before. Cloud starts to get overwhelmed by the attacks again.
But he persevere. He keeps moving around the arena while blocking and avoiding the attacks as best he can.
But he still got overwhelmed and some of the attacks are starting to hit him.
Cloud doesn't do anything about that. He just makes sure that the attacks doesn't hit important parts of his body.
The scene goes on for a while. Cloud didn't manage to change anything but Fang Yue also failed to get a proper hit.
After a while, more hits are starting to get through Cloud's defenses. But Fang Yue doesn't feel happy about it. She felt that something is wrong.
She can't point out what it is that's wrong but she can't shake the feeling.
"Did you notice?" The city lord look at Xiao Han and asked.
"Yes." Xiao Han nodded and answer.
The unknown feeling makes Fang Yue attack more aggressively. She feel rushed.
Cloud takes on more attacks but he didn't care. He keeps continuing what he's doing.
Then, Fang Yue suddenly feels that more of her attacks are missing.
She focus her mind to attack more accurately but nothing change. She suddenly saw that the distance between her and Cloud are widening.
That's why a lot of her attacks are missing. She didn't reach.
Just when she try to get faster, thinking that she might've slowed down, the distance got even wider.
Fang Yue look on with shock. She tried to go faster but the distance keep widening.
Even when she was already at full speed.
Eventually, Cloud got further and further. He then start to counterattack.
Now with superior speed, Cloud is attacking Fang Yue. She got quickly overwhelmed by the attacks.
One of the reason is because the battle has been going on for a while and she starts to get tired.
The other is because the sudden turn of events. She got completely shocked, she doesn't know what to do.
Punches and kicks, elbows and knees are flying toward Fang Yue. Cloud doesn't show any mercy at all even though his opponent is a girl.
Fang Yue can't take on the many blows and superior speed. She got hit a few times and she was pushed to the edge of the arena.
Cloud finish her with a flying knee.
Fang Yue try to meet the blow head on with her palm but she got overpowered and thus pushed off the arena.
