Boom boom boom!
Rapidly rotating, mass-reactive shells erupted from the fire array controlled by the servo-arm. The huge, deafening roar instantly suppressed the roaring sea wind and the endless crash of waves.
Dozens of frost giants, still in the process of condensing huge ice cones or steering the massive ice ships, were torn into piles of scattered, blue-tinged ice and flesh by the overlapping explosions.
However, before Nolan could acquire new targets through his helmet's eyepiece, more than thirty more huge ice ships gathered from all directions, emerging from the thick sea mist. Even more Frost Giants, roaring in challenge, emerged from within them.
These new arrivals seemed to have learned from the first wave's painful lesson. Layers of huge ice walls, half a meter thick, rose rapidly from the surrounding seawater with a groaning, cracking sound, firmly shielding the Frost Giants who were trying to condense more ice cones.
Then, huge, spindle-shaped ice picks cut through the cold air like a volley of launched grenades. Carrying a chilling shriek, they were hurled high into the air, arcing down toward the magical wooden ship.
Thud-thud-thud-thud-thud!
The heavy logging gun, sounding like a roaring, industrial logging machine, was held firmly in David's two metal hands as he stood his ground, braced against the boat's lurching.
Accompanied by the metallic rattle of the bullet chain feeding rapidly from the ammunition box behind him, his every movement was extremely efficient and concise. His upper body swiveled mechanically, tracking the incoming threats. Almost every physical shell accurately intercepted a huge ice pick just before it could strike the boat.
Countless broken ice cubes rained down on the sea around the magical wooden ship, splashing up cold, blue seawater.
At the same time, sitting cross-legged behind David, Wong, his expression solemn and his eyes closed in concentration, completed an exquisite spell with extremely complicated, weaving hand gestures. Channels of orange-red energy, condensed from a large number of ancient mantras, quickly formed a semicircular, shimmering energy shield.
A large defensive spell, the Shield of the Seraphim, completely enveloped the magical wooden ship in a dome of energy.
At this moment, several huge ice picks, already shattered into fragments by the heavy logging gun's shells, grazed the edge of the energy shield. They caused only waves of energy fluctuations before falling harmlessly into the surging, dark sea.
"Old John! Speed up! Guerrilla tactics! Don't keep the boat in the same position for more than a few seconds!" Nolan, his gauntlets moving with blurring speed as he slammed a new ammunition drum into the fire array, shouted loudly at Old John, who was dodging left and right in the magical wooden boat. "If you can, try to get as close as possible to those huge ice ships. I want to engage in a boarding action!"
"No problem! Boy! Look at me!"
The next moment, Old John, wearing his red armor, quickly raised his only palm. He used his rough fingertips to trace several glowing blue runes in the air in front of him.
Immediately, the runes on the hull flared, and the speed of the entire magical wooden ship increased once more. The hard keel of the wooden boat smashed through the broken ice picks floating on the sea as it launched a brave and fearless charge at the nearest huge ice ship, spray flying high.
Almost at the same moment, in the dark sky completely shrouded by thick clouds, the dull, rumbling thunder that had been brewing for a long time finally sounded.
Thor, hovering in the air like a storm-god, held Mjolnir tightly as it twined with bright, blinding electric light, and let out an angry, defiant roar with all his strength.
KRA-KA-THOOM!
Countless purple bolts of lightning suddenly cut through the thick clouds. The winding thunderbolts, each half a meter in diameter, fell like a storm from the sky. Following the call of the God of Thunder, they struck the thirty-plus huge ice ships on the sea one after another.
In an instant, fifteen of the huge ice ships were helplessly split into countless broken ice cubes by the extremely terrifying lightning energy. Even the large number of frost giants carried on them never made a sound; the terrifying lightning moving back and forth completely turned them into scalding hot water, which then evaporated into white mist that hissed off the cold sea.
The remaining ice ships also suffered huge losses in their combat capabilities. For a moment, they were unable to even condense huge ice cones to launch a bombardment, causing their continuous attack to come to a standstill.
Taking this opportunity, Old John, cackling, flexibly controlled the magical wooden ship. He brought the narrow hull right up against the side of the thick ice wall attached to the ice ship's hull with a grinding crunch.
Nolan, holding the C'tan Phase Sword tightly, drove the Terminator armor and quickly stood up from inside the magical wooden boat. Accompanied by the vibration and violent shaking of the entire vessel, Nolan, wearing his diamond-shaped helmet, immediately launched an extremely fierce boarding action against the huge ice ship.
The three-meter-high Terminator armor, humming with the low sound of servos and electro-fiber bundles, dug its heavy magnetic boots into the rough surface of the thick ice wall. Using the weak friction as a fulcrum, he climbed over the towering ice wall and fell from the sky onto the ice ship's deck with a ground-shaking THUD.
Swish, swish, swish...
Nolan's tall body, wrapped in Terminator armor, had not yet completely landed when he swung the phase sword in his palm toward the frost giants rushing up from the surroundings, emitting a fleeting, bright green light.
In an instant, seven or eight frost giants who had just gathered around, roaring and not yet having raised their frost weapons, suddenly stopped all movement. A thin green line appeared on their bodies. Then, their upper bodies slowly slid down to the deck, completely split in two.
The next second, Nolan, having just stood firm, had no time to appreciate his victory. The phase sword, filled with terrifying green light, danced quickly again, a blur of deadly energy. He slashed at any frost giant who dared to attack him. In an instant, countless chunks of blue ice and flesh fell to the heavy deck of the ice ship.
A few dozen seconds later, Nolan, having completely cleared the entire deck, turned his sights. He moved in Terminator armor to block the only entrance between the deck and the interior cabin.
The fire array controlled by the servo-arm quickly extended forward. The dark muzzles launched a cruel and ruthless precision massacre at the frost giants who roared in anger inside the dark, confined cabin.
Boom boom boom...
Accompanied by the violent roar and concussive, contained explosions of countless shells, the motion detection system and life detection device inside his helmet gradually went quiet. The threat icons vanished one by one, confirming that there were no more signs of alien life under the cabin.
Nolan slowly put away the fire array, which was rising with wisps of hot white smoke, above his power backpack. He moved in Terminator armor to quickly run to the edge of the deck.
The battle was not over yet. There were aliens in the next ice ship waiting for the arrival of the messenger of death.
Meanwhile, on the other side of the battlefield, Thor, his body crackling with electric light, swung Mjolnir vigorously.
The tyrannical force from his tall body smashed the frost giants who were roaring and counterattacking with their frost weapons. He continued, a whirlwind of red cape and blue lightning, until the last frost giant on the ice ship was completely shattered into countless scattered ice fragments by Mjolnir, which was wrapped in terrifying lightning.
Thor, his golden braid shaking, took a deep breath of cold air. With wisps of white hot air rising faintly above his head from the exertion, he suddenly muttered to himself, "I always feel that something is wrong. The frost giants in my memory are not these fearless guys. Their customs and racial habits have never advocated death... Why are they so brave and warlike now?"
"No matter... I'll talk about it after I kill them!"
Before the voice fell, Thor shook his head vigorously and once again swung Mjolnir, which was wrapped in a trace of terrifying lightning. His tall body instantly flew rapidly towards another huge ice ship that was still organizing an attack. Accompanied by lightning flashes that splashed and leaped everywhere, Thor crashed into the dense team of frost giants and quickly launched another fierce battle.
As time slowly passed, the remaining fifteen huge ice ships and the countless frost giants on board quickly decreased in number, destroyed by the joint, brutal efforts of Nolan and Thor.
About twenty minutes later, Nolan, his black metal shell covered with the cold, blue blood of frost giants, drove his Terminator armor to meet Thor, who had consumed a lot of physical strength, victoriously on the deck of the last huge ice ship.
After the two of them killed the last frost giant in front of them with the C'tan Phase Sword and Mjolnir respectively, Thor, his golden braids stained with cold blood, walked to the front of the Terminator Armor with a serious expression.
He held Mjolnir tightly and said to Nolan, who was carrying the phase sword, "Brother Nolan, the mental state of these frost giants is not right! Frost giants, with their small numbers and difficulty in reproduction, would definitely choose to retreat in the face of such terrible losses, rather than fighting us to the end!"
"I guess they must have been controlled by the damn Loki in some way, and became cannon fodder sent to consume our strength!"
Hearing Thor's words, Nolan, wearing his diamond-shaped helmet, bowed his head slightly. He stared at the frowning Thor through the helmet goggles and said, "Thor, you have dealt with Frost Giants a lot in the past, so I believe your judgment. However, I think Loki's cannon fodder tactics won't play a big role. It is nothing more than delaying the time for us to enter Asgard. Either he is confident that he has prepared a trap for us, or there are still changes in the situation inside Asgard that we cannot know."
"According to Loki's character, there must be a trap for us..." Thor, blinking his blue eyes, nodded slightly.
However, before he could finish his words, double warnings came one after another from Old John and David on the boat.
"Boys! Another big guy is coming!"
"My Lord! There is a new situation!"
At this moment, a terrifying sound of heavy iron hooves stepping on thick ice echoed across the sea.
With the magical wooden boat at the center, the countless surging waves within a radius of one kilometer were frozen solid in the blink of an eye. The sound was a deafening, groaning CRACK.
At the same time, a huge, ugly monster came riding. The terrifying figure wore ice-crystal-colored frost armor all over its body and held a giant mace condensed by frost in its palm. It quickly passed through the shadowy cold sea fog above the sea surface, walking on the ice.
