Saeles snapped. Rage and years of abuse coiled inside her like a living thing. Before Bada could react, Saeles yanked her inside, throwing her to the wooden floor. Pain exploded in Bada's ribs and stomach, but she refused to shield herself completely.
"You don't belong here! You don't belong anywhere near me!" Saeles hissed, fists flying. Punches struck Bada's sides, stomach, and arms. Bada cried out, her small body trembling with pain, but she didn't run.
"I… I… I just care about you!" Bada sobbed, tears streaming down her face. "I… I just want to see if you're okay!"
Saeles didn't relent. She grabbed Bada's hair, slammed her against the wall, and unleashed another series of blows. Each strike echoed through the small room, blood mixing with sweat, pain and fear mingling in the air.
Even as Bada's vision blurred, even as her body shook violently, her whisper remained:
"I… I'll come back… I'll… I'll never leave…"
Her obsession was now raw, painful, and unshakable.
