The Chief Instructor felt a bit awkward. With my expectant gaze on him, he hesitated. He couldn't bring himself to tell me the truth that his health was failing and it was just a matter of time before he would succumb to it.

The Chief Instructor felt like kissing this soldier; he couldn't have come at a better time.
"Well, don't just stand there, go and welcome them properly."
Then he turned to me and said, "You should go too, you've been chosen as the coach for this program, you need to go meet them."
