The next day, after I came out of the personnel unit of the precinct, I went to the office and started packing my files. All the members of Unit Two returned from the commendation meeting and gathered around me, excitedly asking, "Boss, why didn't you attend the commendation ceremony?"
"I'm leaving," I said with a smile, then looked up at them and said, "From now on, you'll be the pride of Unit Two. Work hard."
The ten people felt a jolt in their hearts. "Boss, what did you say?"
"I've submitted my resignation," I said, smiling broadly. Over the years, I had unknowingly grown stronger and more confident, and now I had truly learned the mindset of being unflustered. I patted their shoulders and said, "Even though I'm leaving, don't let me hear about any of you slacking off. Show some vigor. This office may be small, but now no one in all ten units dares to belittle us. All this is built on your own strength, so continue to perform well."
