------------------------------------------------

Lordaeron was truly a place of beauty. The largest and "strongest" of the Human Kingdoms it was more apt to call it the Empire of Lordaeron.

It's Capital going by the same name as the Kingdom as it was almost tradition of the human kingdoms was a massive city with the Menethil Royal castle situated in the very middle as the most eye catching part.

In the landing area amongst many other arriving ships, Alastor's transport ship touched down and from the lowered ramp walked out Alastor and Rhonin.

Waiting for them in front to receive them was Arthas dressed in white and blue formal wear with his guard contingent.

"Alastor, Rhonin welcome to Lordaeron city, Capital of the greatest human kingdom"

"Normally I would argue with you calling it the greatest but since it's Winter Veil I'll let you keep your biased opinion"

"You both are biased when it comes to your kingdoms" Rhonin good naturedly rolled his eyes at them as they all laughed and started following Arthas and his guard.

---------------------------------------------------

Arthas gave them a short tour as they were walking towards the castle around them there was a clear festive mood as children ran around playing while their parents decorated their houses, while business owners did the same to their businesses.

As they walked many people bowed in respect to Arthas which Arthas was always sure to return a nod in return.

Many people had also recognized Alastor after seeing the Lion symbol of Wrynn on his clothes understanding that this was the legendary prince of Stormwind.

"So that's the prince of miracles? he seems much more approachable than what the rumours say?"

"Yeah better yet he's a lot more down to earth than most Nobles from what I heard"

The commoners whispered to themselves even as the group kept walking until they stopped at a large chapel dedicated to the Holy Light.

"Arthas....." Rhonin said to him with a frown his normal smile gone whereas even Alastor's expression became complicated as they looked at the Chapel.

Mages particularly those from Dalaran and members of the Church did not have a good relationship on the best of days.

For the more hard-headed members especially the martial branch of the Church of the Holy Light, The Knights of the Silver Hand mages especially those from Dalaran were heretics and inherently suspicious.

This was due arcane magic being seen as unpredictable, corruptible, and dangerous not to mention the existence of Black mages who dabbled in forbidden evil arts and communed with Daemons.

For such members, a mage's soul was doomed to hell regardless if he was a Black mage or normal mage.

Many mages themselves did not have a good view of them as well considering them superstitious fools and muscle headed brutes, the treatment they received also did not help in easing things.

That did not mean everywhere this was the norm though, Alastor knew Duke Bolvar himself was a Paladin and had no such prejudice even one of his own aides, Gavinrad was a Paladin and he also did not have any such prejudice.

Speaking of Gavinrad, Alastor idly wondered if he and Windsor would also meet him alongside his family in the Menethil castle considering he did tell them to follow his family when he sent them to Stormwind for a task.

"Rhonin I know what you might be thinking but I swear nothing will happen I swear on my Honour as a prince and Paladin" Arthas gave Rhonin and Alastor a solemn look.

He knew the bad blood between the two organizations despite being a Paladin who was trained personally by Uther himself, and honestly he found the conflict unneeded from what he had seen from both sides.

The Paladins fought and trained to uphold the tenets of the Holy Light and protect the meek and innocent while striking down on the evil that wished to harm them.

While majority of mages were scholars at heart and would rather spend their time studying magic and improving their magical arts.

Still sceptical but giving him a chance Rhonin nodded as Alastor gave him a pat on the back as they both followed Arthas in the Church.

-----------------------------------------------

The interior was spacious but beautiful as golden sunlight from the setting sun gave the white and golden hall a solemn but pure look.

Rhonin and Alastor looked around the empty Chapel as Arthas explained the murals and what they depicted.

"This mural showed a ancient battle where Saint Maria fought and vanquished a malevolent Daemon summoned from a cult of Black Mages"

"Well I got to admit the guys who made this sure knew how to tell a story" Rhonin replied as he looked at the mural but neither of them saw Alastor approach the Altar somewhat in a daze.

Looking at the Altar and the symbol of Holy light, Alastor felt almost like the Light was trying to beckon him closer as he stood in front of it feeling the Holy power surround him like a blanket.

A bit surprised by this phenomenon Alastor got on his knee and closed his eyes as he gave a prayer.

Alastor was never someone who put too much trust in "higher" beings like Gods or even the Dragon Aspects considering how indifferent most of them could be or how most wouldn't even deign themselves to understand mortals.

But this wasn't a "being" in the normal sense was it?

The interesting thing about the Church of the Holy Light was that the Light itself did not have Gods or anything similar instead the Light itself was a primal force of creation that had been present since the creation of the universe itself.

A force that flowed through all creation and empowered those that had powerful positive emotions like Kindness, Justice, Integrity, Honour etc.

In fact the Holy light used by Priests and Paladins while effective and strong was not it's true form but a diluted form of it that mortal races could wield nevertheless it was still very effective against Evil magics.

As well in fields of healing, protection, purification while for others mostly the Paladins they also utilize Holy light for offensive purposes like empowerments, smiting and light constructs.

-----------------------------------------------------------------

'I do not know if there is anyone listening or if you yourself can perceive me, But....please...allow this world's people to be happy and at peace'

Alastor hoped he was never found by the Emperor or anyone else and that he and this world will be left alone but he swore if he was found one day and had to embrace that part of himself.

He will make sure this world and it's people would get the peace and security they need even if he needed to leave it one day and never come back while destroying all records of it's location.

He had come to love Azeroth, it's people and the family he gained from it too much, and understood why so many would give their lives for things they loved.

He finally understood the true meaning of "Home"

Azeroth was his home.

Done with his prayer he stood up and opened his eyes suddenly realizing that the Church was very quiet and he couldn't hear Rhonin and Arthas conversation.

He turned around and abruptly stopped.

In front of him was Arthas and Rhonin who were looking at him shocked alongside a large Burly middle aged man in ornate golden and white armour with blue accents who was also looking at him baffled.

But aside from them there was also a short and stout old man with a snow-white beard and a friendly face giving him a amazed look.

Alastor recognized both of the unknown men as Archbishop Alonsus Faol and Uther the Lightbringer, the greatest Paladin alive and the leader of the Knights of the Silver Hand.

What he could not understand was why they were looking at him like he was some exotic---oh...

Suddenly Alastor understood as his gaze fell down and he saw his hands...glowing and it wasn't just them but his entire body was covered a shroud of Holy Light.

'.....Damn it'
