The last thing I remembered was the rain.
Cold, heavy drops hammered the cracked pavement as I sprinted across the street, hoodie soaked and glasses fogging up with every panicked breath. I didn't see the car.
The screech of tires, the blinding headlights, the sickening thud—then darkness, thick and absolute.
I thought that was it. The end.
But instead, the darkness shifted.
A soft, cosmic-like glow replaced it. Stars swirled around me like glitter suspended in water. For a moment, I wondered if I'd ended up in some dream or hallucination. Then a voice spoke—a voice that wasn't a voice at all, more like a thought pressed directly into my skull.
"You died attempting to help another. So i shal Grant you another chance
"Another life?" I whispered, though my mouth wasn't really a mouth now. "Like… reincarnation?"
"Correct. You shall. Be reincarnated into marvel universe
A pause.
My mind raced.
"Within reason."
I swallowed—or tried to. "Marvel."
The stars pulsed, like the universe itself raised an eyebrow.
"That world is… dangerous. Catastrophic by design. Few survive even with power."
"I know,"I grew up reading the comics. Watching the movies. It's chaotic, terrifying, unfair. But it's… incredible. And it needs people." I hesitated. "And I want to be someone who can do what i always wanted
Another silence—longer, colder. Then:
"Very well. You shall enter that universe. Your abilities will align with your desire to help, but your path will be your own. Survive. Adapt. Grow. And remember: choices shape worlds."
The stars expanded, rushing toward me with blinding intensity.
And in the next moment, i was trown into the marvel world.
