I blinked once then twice, staring at the leaf Infront of me in disbelief. It was absolutely big!,like as big as a door!. It aslo had a weird yellow colour with green dots,a colour I've never seen before.
I eyes traveled from the leaf to the branch and then to the tree. It was the size of a house!. I thought I was dreaming and reached out to pinch my skin. But I found out I had no hands.
But instead I had paws, a tale,ginger fur and I was on all fours. I realized that I was cat!. I tried my best to recall how I ended here or why I was a cat, but everything was blank. The only thing I could recall was my name and that I was definitely human. And are trees and leaves supposed to look this big?.
Since I had not hands I decided to use my claws instead. They were quite tiny. If I was really dreaming then I should wake up,if I don't then I'm fucked. Taking a deep I closed my eyes and struck.
Guess what?,it was a very bad idea. The claws cut deep into my skin, nearly cutting my entire paw off!. It left a deep visible scar that began to bleed. Well guess my claws were quite dangerous after all.
I felt an intense pain that brought tears to my eyes. As if that was bad enough, I suddenly felt quite hungry. The feeling of anger and helplessness made me overwhelmed and I wanted to cry.
"God what did I do to deserve this this!".
I yelled,my words echoing through the dark forest. I shut my mouth, eyes wide as I realized I had just yelled!. I was cat!,how the fuck did I just speak?!. Well I had no time to ponder over it as it seems I had attracted unwanted attention. The forest was so dark it was hard to see, the only thing I've seen so far being a single tree. But I saw glowing eyes staring at me. They looked like that of a snake's and I'm sure I heard hissing. Then suddenly I heard a voice
"No one wants to be here either but as you know it's survival of the fittest...So stay still and let me eat you".
I looked to my left then to my right,there was nothing. The snake or I think spoke!.
Without hissing, almost sounding like a man!.And did it just say it wanted to eat me?!.
I bolted for my life,but realized two devastating things. One,I should have never ran forward and two, apparently I can't run at all!. I had only taken tree steps and I felt like I was dieing!. Even more bad news,I landed right Infront of him. It opened it mouth to reveal fangs as big as swords!. I closed my eyes and jumped on him.
Due to the darkness I couldn't see where his body was,but I scratched at everything desperately hoping to at least cause some damage. After five seconds I suddenly felt tired and jumped back, breathing heavily.
I could have swore I heard him chuckle but that was impossible right?, it's a snake after all. My thoughts slowed as my vision began to blur. I decided to pray with the last strength left in me.
"God please I don't wanna die like this!. Why do I have to be so weak and pathetic!. I didn't even get to fight or die in a cool way!,instead I'm dieing of exhaustion!.
With those words I closed my eyes,my body began to feel numb just then a heard a voice,it sounded feminine so I guessed it was a female. I didn't quite hear her words,but I'm sure I heard her mention my name.
"Neon!"
There it was a again. If could smile I would have. I was happy,that maybe someone had come for me and I was not going to die. With those thoughts everything fades away.
If only I knew the hell I was going to go through,I would have chose to die in that forest.
