Terminology
Privilege
The Privilege is a set of benefits granted to Pilgrims allowing them access to special powers and a way to view these powers called the "Vision".
Pilgrims
This is any creature that has the Privilege, or has killed Forsaken creatures of the Mutant, Mentalist and Mage class at least once. They each have access to special powers called characteristics which are grouped into Mentalist, Mutant and Mage abilities respectively, no two powers are exactly the same although some might be similar.
Characteristics
These are special abilities awoken within a person by their Privilege.
Techniques
These are special abilities that can be learnt by anyone despite their characteristic and rank.
Habitats
This is any place that does not belong to the world but is materialized through an event known as a "Fade in". Habitats are ranked according to the strongest entity within them and continuously expand to swallow other Habitats and the neutral world they appear in, and can be cleared by killing the most powerful creature in the Habitat called the "Apex" to cause a "Fade out" of said Habitats.
Forsaken
These are creatures with a ravenous desire to destroy humanity and expand their habitats, they come from patches of reality called Habitats.
Class
There are four classes of Forsaken with their capability increasing depending on the class;
Mutants: These creatures are focused on consuming the physical body of their prey and rarely possess dangerous abilities, merely using their physical might to hunt.
Mentalist: These creatures not only consume the physical body but also the mind of their prey, compared to Mutants they are more likely to possess esoteric abilities which makes them hard to take down.
Mage: These creatures not only consume the physical body and the mind, but also the soul of their prey. Compared to the previous two they are certain to possess an esoteric ability and are on average the hardest to kill between the three.
