Chapter 31 -  An Overwhelming Spoil of War!

White Flame stood silently beside the corpse.

The wounds that had shredded him moments ago were gone—his flesh whole once more.

He rolled his shoulders, bones cracking, then fished a cigarette from his pocket and lit it with a calm flick of his thumb.

Hiss—click.

He drew in a deep breath, exhaled a pale ribbon of smoke, and watched impassively as the IBM creatures tore into Doflamingo's remains.

"So this is what you called divine power?"

"Pathetic."

His voice was flat—cold, almost bored.

The infamous Heavenly Yaksha, the so-called "Joker" who had ruled the underworld, terrorized nations, and manipulated kings like puppets—

the man who even the World Government feared to provoke—

lay devoured at his feet.

The legend of Donquixote Doflamingo ended as nothing more than another offering to the monster he'd mocked.

Within minutes, the three IBM had devoured the body completely.

The voice of the system still echoed in White Flame's mind—each line like a tally of victory.

He had not only seized Doflamingo's Devil Fruit and its Awakening,

but even the man's Conqueror's Haki, that rare will of kings born only once in millions.

Each reward alone was priceless; together, they were power beyond imagination.

And with Doflamingo's immense life-force absorbed, the number of IBM he could command had doubled—from three to six.

White Flame smiled faintly.

"Doflamingo… I should thank you, oh 'god.' You were generous to the end."

His power now had leapt into a realm few could dream of.

A single flare of Conqueror's Haki could sweep tens of thousands of foes into unconsciousness.

The String-String Fruit (Awakening) could turn an entire city into silken ash with one gesture.

And the Warlord's mastery of Armament and Observation Haki had merged seamlessly into White Flame's body, sharpening his every sense, hardening every strike.

Add to that six IBM—each nearly his equal in raw might—

and his strength had risen to an unprecedented peak.

"T-The Young Master… lost…"

Senor Pink's pacifier slipped from his mouth, clattering onto the stone.

He simply couldn't accept it.

The man who had stood like a god among men—defeated, consumed, erased.

And by this quiet, merciless figure who now stood without a single wound.

A chill ran down Senor's spine.

"Oh merciful heavens," Viola whispered, tears streaming down her cheeks.

"Your light has returned to Dressrosa. The tyrant has fallen!"

She fell to her knees, pressing her forehead to the ground, praying toward the man who had delivered them.

"Enren!"

Kyros hopped forward on his single leg, unable to contain himself.

White Flame's gaze shifted toward him.

"If you're here to thank me," he said coolly,

"save your breath. Gratitude means nothing to me. This war wasn't for any of you."

"It was for my revenge—nothing more."

Kyros blinked, then quickly straightened, swallowing his words.

"Even so, you're incredible. I never thought anyone could truly kill Doflamingo!"

His voice trembled with awe.

From the day of the "Coup of the Kingdom," Kyros had dreamed of reclaiming Dressrosa—but he'd known it was impossible.

Doflamingo's strength was overwhelming; even his officers were beyond Kyros's reach.

And yet this man—this mysterious stranger—had done it alone.

He had slain a god.

How could he not be moved?

White Flame crushed his cigarette beneath his heel.

"There's nothing worth celebrating. Even if I hadn't killed him, Doflamingo's fall was inevitable."

"In two or three years, he'd have lost everything anyway… I merely arrived early."

He spoke as if reading from a future no one else could see.

Somewhere out there, Monkey D. Luffy had already set sail.

Fate itself had marked Doflamingo for defeat.

"Will you stay in Dressrosa now?" Kyros asked, hope flickering in his eyes.

If White Flame remained, the kingdom would be safe.

Kyros had come to understand that behind the rumors of a "man-eating monster" was a man who killed only the guilty.

With him here, no tyrant would ever rise again.

White Flame took another drag of his cigarette, gazing toward the distant sea.

"Stay?" he murmured.

"Doflamingo's dead. My vengeance is done. What comes after…"

"Even I don't know. In endless years, purpose tends to fade."

Smoke drifted upward, curling around his emotionless eyes.

As they spoke, the citizens of Dressrosa—drawn by the silence after the chaos—began to gather among the ruins.

They stared in awe at the man who had ended their nightmare.

"Incredible… If I had power like that," whispered one thin, sun-browned villager,

"my home would never have been destroyed."

He stepped closer, taking in the shattered cityscape with a mix of sorrow and wonder.

Then his gaze fell upon White Flame—

and froze.

His eyes widened.

He rubbed them once, twice, disbelieving.

And when he was certain he wasn't mistaken, excitement flooded his face.
