Time flew by, and before anyone realized it, three months had passed.
Inside the gravity training room, Gohan and Trunks were, as usual, immersed in intense gravity training.
Over the past three months, the two of them had successfully adapted to five hundred times gravity.
Trunks' base battle power had skyrocketed from 2.2 million to 10 million.
Gohan's base battle power had also risen from 20 million to 26 million.
Their strength had undergone a leap like transformation, not just in raw power, but also in realm.
Both had fully mastered Super Saiyan First Stage Full Power.
Such terrifying growth speed was only natural.
Under Vegeta's guidance, with direct and methodical instruction, they had completely avoided every detour.
Especially when combined with mental energy meditation training, their foundations became extremely solid, to the point that both were already faintly touching the threshold of Super Saiyan Second Stage.
Truth be told, Gohan was still Gohan.
Even in the future timeline, his body contained limitless potential. It was just that his hidden power could not be easily awakened.
As for Trunks, was his potential weak?
Absolutely not.
In the original Majin Buu arc, Trunks and Goten had reached Super Saiyan purely through self exploration, and later achieved Super Saiyan Third Stage in just a few months inside the Hyperbolic Time Chamber.
Even though that was through fusion as Gotenks, Trunks' individual potential was just as terrifying.
It was simply overshadowed by the overwhelming spotlight of others, especially the absurdity of Ultimate Gohan.
"All right, that's enough for today, Trunks. Training ends here," Gohan said, shutting down the gravity system.
Trunks let out a deep breath and collapsed onto the floor.
Although it was said that he had adapted to five hundred times gravity, in reality, he still had a long way to go.
He could endure it briefly, but compared to Gohan, the gap was obvious.
After all, their base strength levels were vastly different.
The only reason Trunks had caught up so quickly was because Vegeta had given him special treatment, along with the support of senzu beans.
"Maybe we should stick to four hundred times gravity for now," Gohan suggested gently, seeing Trunks' strained state.
He had already noticed that Trunks had been forcing himself lately, just so he would not slow Gohan down.
"It's fine," Trunks replied after resting for a moment.
"Five hundred times gravity is tough, but this is a wall I have to break. I need to get stronger, fast enough to catch up to you, Gohan."
Seeing the look in Trunks' eyes, Gohan could only nod.
Recently, he had clearly witnessed Trunks' transformation.
He was no longer the child he used to be.
And in Trunks, Gohan now saw Vegeta's shadow, something that had never been there before.
It was precisely this relentless drive that had allowed Trunks to reach such a level in just three months.
Thinking of Vegeta, Gohan felt a bitter ache and could only smile wryly.
If he wanted to catch up, he was still far behind.
He had not even touched Super Saiyan Second Stage yet, while Uncle Vegeta's Super Saiyan Second Stage had already reached perfection.
And while five hundred times gravity was a massive challenge for them, Vegeta could move freely under one thousand times gravity, completely unaffected.
Simply put, Vegeta no longer needed gravity training to rapidly increase his strength.
Leaving the gravity room, Gohan and Trunks chatted as they headed toward the wash area.
Meanwhile, on the second floor terrace of the Capsule House,
Vegeta sat cross legged on a sofa, deep in meditation.
After long accumulation and refinement, sensing that he had reached a critical point, Vegeta slowly opened his eyes.
His aura was completely restrained, without the slightest fluctuation.
"So this is it. I've finally condensed my ki to this level," Vegeta said with a faint smile as he stood up.
"With my current strength, facing this timeline's Kakarot again would be much easier. At the very least, I would not be helpless."
His base battle power had now reached 120 million.
Firmly at Final Form Frieza tier.
Three months ago, his battle with Kakarot had pushed him past the one hundred million threshold.
Once that bottleneck broke, his strength surged continuously until it stabilized at this level.
Not because he could not keep improving,
but because Vegeta deliberately suppressed further growth.
He was no longer chasing numbers.
What he wanted was qualitative transformation.
Preparation for breaking through Super Saiyan Second Stage and stepping into Super Saiyan Third Stage.
He could attempt a breakthrough now, but Vegeta was not reckless.
This was not the right moment.
Walking to the edge of the terrace, Vegeta looked out over West City.
The scenery had changed drastically.
Three months ago, it had been nothing but ruins.
Now, with humanity slowly returning, reconstruction was well underway.
Earth's technology twenty years into the future was indeed extraordinary. Otherwise, recovery on this scale would have been impossible.
But the cost was devastating.
Only one in ten humans remained alive.
And it was not just Androids 17 and 18.
Most had been killed by Cell.
"Vegeta, you're awake."
Bulma's voice sounded behind him.
Vegeta turned around and smiled.
After three months, Bulma was no longer the exhausted, worn down woman she once was.
Because of Vegeta, she had regained her youth, and the heaviness in her spirit had disappeared.
Sometimes, companionship was the best medicine.
"Yeah. This phase of training is over," Vegeta said, wrapping an arm around Bulma naturally.
"The next few days, we can finally relax."
Bulma did not resist.
She was clearly already used to it.
