Kenzhun is a genius boy who has always lived in loneliness. He never takes friendships seriously because the social environment at his middle school is terrible, and he chooses to stay away from it. Because of that, he's given the nickname "The Brilliant Loner," even though the truth is simply that no one there is worthy of being his friend.
One day, while standing at the school gate, he sees a long-haired white-haired girl running as if she's trying to escape from something. At that moment, the girl trips over a tree root near the gate—its root slightly sticking out of the sidewalk—and she falls, scraping her knee and causing it to bleed. Seeing this, Kenzhun instinctively rushes to help her, and from that moment on, his once colorless life slowly begins to change.
