This was the first time she was seeing his real face. Before, he had worn a robe and a cloth covering his features. Now everything was exposed, and his sharp features were even more intimidating up close.
She blinked at him.
"Who are you?" she asked without thinking.
The man's expression turned slightly strange, as if he was looking at an idiot.
But he didn't answer her question.
Instead, he glanced at the fruit in her hand and then at the kitchen behind her.
"What are you doing here?" he asked coldly.
Yue Yue frowned.
"What?" she said. "Didn't you tell me to eat whatever I want from the kitchen? Now are you going to snatch food from a female too?"
The man pressed his lips together.
That wasn't his intention. He had only felt that something was off, so he came to check.
And all he saw was a woman eating fruit like nothing was wrong. Maybe he was just being overly cautious.
After a short pause, he simply nodded.
"Do whatever you want," he said.
