The world twisted around Yue Yue in a blink.
One second, she was inside the room struggling in the man's arms. The next second, the air felt colder, cleaner… and strangely quiet.
Her feet touched the ground again. She blinked. The room was gone.
Instead, she was standing inside a wide, smooth corridor that looked nothing like the temple. Everything around her was shining white. The walls, the ceiling, the floor...every single surface was the same pure, glowing white.
It was so bright that her eyes actually stung.
"What…?" she whispered.
The man's arm loosened around her waist. He stepped back casually, as if nothing strange had just happened.
"Welcome to my personal space," he said with a smug smile. "Now we're going to get away from that place for a bit."
His eyes were shining with clear satisfaction, like a child showing off a new toy.
Yue Yue didn't even respond. She was too stunned. She slowly turned her head, looking around.
