When Odis heard Bernadette's brother Bonova's words, he smiled slightly and said, "Since I am so dangerous, why doesn't the 'God of Steam and Machinery' just descend and kill me?"
"Instead, you were sent, someone who is clearly incapable of killing me?"
In Odis's view, as long as Bernadette was alive, Bonova could not kill him.
He had originally intended to make a sarcastic remark about the "god of steam and machinery," but considering Bonova's current devout faith, he realized that such a remark could easily lead to an awkward silence in the conversation.
Odis also hoped to have a brief chat to see if he could obtain more information about the higher-ups of the Steam Church.
"That's because," Bonova, who also had long chestnut hair, "that killing you now would be helping you, and also helping the 'Hidden Sage'."
Odis was taken aback: "Help me? Help the 'Hidden Sage'? What do you mean?"
Bonova simply looked at him, clearly not intending to tell Odis any more information.
At this point, Bernadette asked, "Then why did you come here? If not to kill Odis, then to kill me?"
Bonova replied, "I'm here to drive you away. This isn't a place for you to play adventure games."
Calderia, who had remained silent, was surprised by the Steam Church's emphasis on the "Hermit" and understood why the "Queen's" prophecy had stated that there would not be much danger even when encountering high-level enemies.
Although Bonova is a high-level enemy, they are not in great danger, either in terms of strength or background.
Odis's mind raced, and he suddenly remembered the complex symbols he had seen in the ruins before: "These are the ruins of the Stiano family?"
He suddenly realized that the crest-like symbol looked very similar to the "mechanical emblem".
The main body of the "Mechanical Emblem" is also an inverted triangle, with a geometric shape composed of line segments and figures in the middle. However, it does not have the illusory equilateral triangle in the back, and the "Mechanical Emblem" also has a gear outside the geometric shape in the middle.
The addition of gears completely altered the original Steiano family crest.
Bonova replied, "Yes."
Bernadette and Cattleya were both taken aback. They both knew that the Stiano family was the predecessor of the Steam Church. Bernadette had known this for a long time, while Cattleya had only recently learned about it from the Tarot meeting.
Odis then asked, "It's not hard to tell from the Steiano family's crest that they were a family that placed great importance on magic arrays. Why did they abandon their research on magic arrays after the Fifth Era?"
In many cases, the six-pointed star represents a magic circle, and the Steiano family crest has such a structure as an illusory family crest.
Odis had previously speculated that the reason many advanced magic arrays were lost was because the families that controlled these arrays had declined, so no one used them anymore.
For example, after the decline of the Abraham family, no one knew about "teleportation arrays".
However, the Stiano family did not decline; on the contrary, they "flourished." Why did they abandon the research on magic arrays?
Bonova said, "Because popularizing advanced magic arrays and ancient occult texts could easily awaken a very evil being, the Steam Church simply stopped the research and inheritance of advanced magic arrays."
"Because ancient occult scripts are different from human writing and thinking, they don't need to be strictly prohibited, so gradually fewer and fewer people know them."
Odis was taken aback, not expecting such a response.
He then asked, "What kind of being should be awakened?"
Bonova glanced at Odis with her azure eyes, and just like before, remained silent.
Bernadette suddenly found the situation somewhat comical; she hadn't expected Odis and Bonova to be able to chat.
Cattleya was once again bewildered by the "hermit's" knowledge, wondering where he got his insights from and why he wasn't shy about talking to an angel.
Bonova then said, "Alright, you can leave now."
"No problem." Bernadette seemed very agreeable: "Hand over that monster with the characteristics of a 'mystic,' and we'll leave."
Bonova paused, then asked, "Why would I do that?"
Not only was he stunned, but Odis was also momentarily stunned when he heard Bernadette's request.
Bernadette smiled and said, "We came here chasing that monster; it is our prey."
Odis slapped his forehead: This idea is quite unique, but I like it.
Bonova seemed momentarily stunned, pausing for a second or two before saying, "This is the ruins of the Steam Church; there are no prey for you here."
For some reason, even though what He said was clearly the truth, Odis and Cattleya felt it was far-fetched, even like he was making excuses, because of Bernadette's previous words.
Bernadette suddenly raised her chin, adopting a parental posture: "Bonova, I don't blame you for being loyal to the Steam Church that betrayed your father. After all, you've grown up, and I respect your choice."
"But what did I tell you when you were little? Just because you're a noble doesn't mean you can be unreasonable."
Bonova froze again, as if recalling some memories deep in her mind. Odis noticed that the way He looked at Bernadette had suddenly changed.
They weren't as indifferent as before.
But soon, the change stopped, and that gaze gradually turned cold again: "Bernarde, you don't understand the mysteries of this world, nor do you know what happened back then."
Bernadette was somewhat disappointed: "I don't need you to tell me what happened, because what you call the truth is a distorted truth."
Finally, she said, "You are no longer Bonova."
Bonova's tone became less polite: "Since you won't leave, I'll have no choice but to drive you away."
Bernadette retorted without backing down: "That depends on whether you have the ability."
As she spoke, she gestured to Odis and Cattleya, signaling them to leave on their own.
Because their battle will definitely make this place very dangerous, and who knows if the "God of Steam and Machinery" will descend upon us?
Just as the siblings were about to start fighting, a building some distance away from them suddenly emitted clusters of illusory light, illuminating the massive underground structure.
Odis saw that at the top of this space, there were also huge and complex magic circles composed of runes and graphics.
The buildings in the distance, built according to the terrain, are magnificent and tall. It is unknown who activated this huge magic array.
Odis grabbed Cattleya and quickly used the "Travel Ring" ability to leave.
However, as soon as the two entered the spirit world, Odis's vision was covered by light, and then he felt a force pulling him apart from Cattleya, taking him into an unknown spirit world space, and then quickly returning him to the real world.
The light before Odis's eyes quickly faded, and he found himself in an unfamiliar environment, and Cattleya was nowhere to be seen.
The intense light from before made it difficult for Odis's eyes to adjust to the darkness. Unable to see her surroundings clearly, Odis first used a "defense scroll" and assumed a defensive stance.
A few seconds later, his eyes gradually adjusted to the darkness and he found himself in an ancient and grand hall, which was so tall that it seemed to be the dwelling of a giant.
Deep inside the main hall, there is a beautiful altar and two huge statues.
The symbols on the altar are still the Stiano family crest, composed of a six-pointed star and geometric shapes.
After seeing the symbols on the altar, Odis realized that she had not yet left the underground space she had just been in.
Odis then guessed that he seemed to have somehow found himself inside those magnificent buildings he had just seen.
Only then did he realize that the pulling force he had felt in the spirit world was likely the power of some kind of magic array.
The specific ability is likely to pull targets that have entered the spirit world within a certain range back into the real world.
A year ago, Odis would have thought this magic circle was amazing, but in the past six months, after entering ancient ruins many times and seeing many more advanced magic circles, he felt that even the most peculiar magic circles no longer seemed strange.
Then, Odis carefully examined his surroundings and, finding no danger, walked forward to examine the two statues.
The sculpture depicts a male and a female figure. They are beautiful and handsome, but they are not wearing asymmetrical clothing characteristic of the Quaternary period. Instead, their clothing is more like that of the Tertiary period.
They looked gently toward the altar, with the same eyes and expressions of elders looking at younger generations.
Odis guessed: Are these two angels from the Steiano family?
He remembered that the "God of Steam and Machinery" was more feminine and had the nickname "Mechanical Girl". So who is this man?
Then he thought: it's also possible that the "God of Steam" is this man, because His full name seems to be Yugos Stiano, which doesn't seem like a woman's name at all.
So, the same question remains: who is this woman?
At this moment, Odis suddenly thought of her messenger, but the messenger was just a skeleton, and apart from her classical hunting attire, there was nothing else she could refer to.
After some thought, Odis did not immediately summon the messenger to verify the information, because he was unsure of the messenger's stance.
If Odis needed help, she preferred to pray to the "Goddess of Night".
Then Odis saw some exquisite murals behind the statue.
The murals in the sacrificial hall usually depict information about the objects of worship, so Odis bypassed the statues to look at the murals.
In the very center mural, Odis saw a familiar figure.
He floated in mid-air, his wide robes fluttering, possessing a divine charm and beauty reminiscent of Eastern depictions of immortals.
Odis was almost certain that this was the same person who had spoken with the "Queen of Calamities," Goshinam, in that "underwater city."
In this mural, His face is depicted as a series of characters, and it is impossible to see what He actually looks like.
The entire mural depicts Him conversing with the figures sculpted from the two statues behind the altar.
Odis, with his relevant knowledge, knew that the murals in the sanctuary would contain descriptions of the origins of the objects of worship, or, more accurately, their "roots."
The credibility of these murals is very high before the Fifth Period.
But by the Fifth Age, the "roots" of the Seven Gods had become part of the "original Creator".
This description is not wrong, after all, the origin of every extraordinary being lies with the "original creator".
The problem is that they skipped many intermediate steps. For example, when talking about the "Goddess of Night," there should actually be a mural of the "Destroyer Wolf."
However, in the corresponding murals of the Church of the Night during the Fourth Age, this ancient god was almost no longer present.
Odis continued looking down, and the next mural depicted a tall, mountain-like cross. In front of the cross stood a serene-faced man gazing ahead with the purest and gentlest eyes.
The gaze was so penetrating that Odis felt as if He were looking directly at her, and this gaze gave Odis an urge to bow in respect.
Odis quickly looked away to examine the other parts of the mural, and the urge to bow disappeared.
Another part of the mural shows the two angels from the Stiano family bowing slightly to the man.
Although there were no descriptions of the sun behind the man, the tall cross was enough to prove that he was the "ancient sun god".
Odis stroked his chin: I never imagined that the Stiano family had once pledged allegiance to the "Ancient Sun God".
The third mural is somewhat abstract, depicting the female angel of the Stiano family embracing a tall cross.
Odis frowned. This description was somewhat ambiguous. It could be interpreted as the female angel being deeply trusted by the "ancient sun god," and the two having a close relationship.
It can also be interpreted as them having an affair.
This made Odiston immediately think that the description was a bit far-fetched, because the level of the "ancient sun god" could no longer be described by male and female genders.
He can be male or female, both a man and a woman.
The key is that the divinity within Him should have already freed Him from human desires.
Adam and Amon were both born by the "ancient sun god" on their own, so how could they possibly have gotten involved with the angels of the Stiano family?
If you really want to relive certain human feelings, wouldn't it be better to find a "witch"?
Odis smiled, wondering if the Steiano family was trying to curry favor with the "ancient sun god."
When they reached the fourth mural, Odis was shocked. The main subject of this mural was still a tall cross, and the female angel of the Stiano family stood on one side of the cross, looking forward with a kind expression.
In front of her were two adorable children, about seven or eight years old: one with blond hair and golden eyes, and the other with black hair and a monocle made of crystal.
Although the two children are small and do not appear aggressive, Odis is certain that this depicts Adam and Amon.
These two actually have a mother?
Odis suddenly recalled that when he first met the messenger, He seemed to know many secrets about the "ancient sun god" and said that He also had some connection with Adam and Amun.
this...
Odis still found it hard to accept that Adam and Amon actually had a mother?
Theoretically speaking, they didn't need to have a mother, so why would the "ancient sun god" go to the trouble of having one?
However, the mural on the left ended there. Odis then looked at the mural on the right. The second mural on that side was the same as the one on the opposite side, depicting two angels from the Stiano family bowing to the "Ancient Sun God".
The third image is different; it depicts a being with an oriental charm conversing with an "ancient sun god" against a backdrop of a cross.
Meanwhile, the male angel from the Stiano family stood behind the presence of those with an Eastern aura, listening to their conversation.
This conversation must have involved the exchange of very important information, or it must have been a very important meeting in the extraordinary realm. This male angel was proud to have just participated in this meeting.
Or perhaps the content of this conversation, even just the part that the male angel overheard, was enough to change the course of the Stiano family's development.
Odis grew increasingly curious about the being with an oriental charm.
But after thinking it over, he couldn't recall any being who could be connected with Him.
The one most likely to be connected to Him is probably the "Hidden Sage," and Odis remembers that the "God of Steam and Machinery" seemed to have been a member of the "Morse Penitentiary."
Could it be that the "Hidden Sage" comes from...? No, wait!
Odis then thought: It is now almost certain that the "Hidden Sage" is likely a uniquely activated deity, at the level of the King of Angels.
Did His bloodline awaken during His "resurrection"? Did He acquire the appearance of an Easterner?
Thinking about this, he shook his head, feeling that he really didn't know how to guess further.
Odis continued looking down, and the next two murals depicted the male angel leading his people into battle.
In the two murals, His two adversaries are the "God of War" and the "God of Knowledge and Wisdom".
After a quick glance, Odis roughly understood that this meant he did not suffer any losses when fighting the two gods separately.
This is indeed a glorious thing. Generally speaking, when angels encounter the true God, they can only protect themselves. If they run a little slower, they will be seriously injured, and it may even affect their condition for a long time to come.
This male angel, in two battles, not only withstood the attacks of the true god without being injured, which is enough to earn him a place on the family tree.
After watching for a while, Odis couldn't tell when the battle took place, but he guessed it might have been in the early Quaternary period.
Since the Stiano family once pledged allegiance to the "Ancient Sun God," they must have stood on the side of the "True Creator" during the Solomon Empire era, and were likely to clash with the "Six Gods" of that time.
After viewing these murals, Odis gained a completely new understanding of the Stiano family.
He had previously thought that this family was just an ordinary angel family before the "God of Steam and Machinery" became a god, but today he learned that this family actually had so many secrets.
Or rather, every angel family must have had a glorious past.
Then Odis noticed something: the hall was surrounded by walls and had no exit.
However, after observing for a moment, he noticed a magic circle directly opposite the two statues.
Generally speaking, if there is a doorway, it will definitely be in this direction.
He strode over, carefully observed the formation, determined its function, and then infused spiritual energy into the corresponding characters. Sure enough, two illusory gates appeared before him.
Odis pushed open the door, and outside was a pitch-black corridor.
The left side of the corridor is a wall, while the right side has many rooms and passageways, making the structure look quite complex.
He came to a corridor and felt a gentle breeze on his face. The end of the corridor seemed to connect to the outside world.
So Odis decided to walk along the corridor to take a look, but after only a couple of steps, his spirit sensed danger coming from somewhere unknown.
This prompted Odis to immediately hide in a room with windows and several other exits. Her sense of danger intensified, but she still didn't know where the danger was coming from.
Odis quietly hid under a windowsill. He wasn't too nervous, because as long as he wasn't in the other person's sight, even Bonova wouldn't be able to find him.
Just then, he saw a faint starlight suddenly appear in the corner, like fine gauze inlaid with diamonds.
Cattleya appeared there, gestured for Odis to be quiet, and quickly moved closer to Odis.
Odis twitched his lips. He himself wouldn't be discovered by the other party, but if he were with Cattleya, it would be easy to be discovered.
However, he couldn't speak up to remind her at this moment, so he could only move closer to Cattleya. When the two of them met, the stardust in Cattleya's hand reappeared, and a thin layer of gauze, like starlight, appeared in front of them.
The fine yarn concealed their tracks, and eventually even the fine yarn disappeared.
The source of danger lingered around for several minutes before leaving, but neither of them spoke immediately. Instead, they waited another minute or two before Cattleya whispered, "That's a monster with the characteristics of a 'mystic'!"
"It seems both crazy and quite intelligent."
Odis nodded slowly. He knew, of course, that madmen weren't fools; they just thought differently.
At that moment, Odis had a sudden thought: "Did it just activate the magic circle?"
Roughly speaking, this place has been neglected since the formation of the Raging Sea.
Not a single mistake, not a single poem, not a single post, not a single piece of content, not a single look!
Odis had just noticed that this huge underground space only had many magic arrays at the top, and unlike the "underwater city," it did not have a space built between the spirit world and the real world, so it was not very well hidden.
That's why some extraordinary creatures were attracted here, and the constant rain outside may have created many entrances to this huge underground space that didn't exist more than a thousand years ago.
The monsters with "mystical scholar" characteristics, as well as those extraordinary creatures, must have come from there.
Regardless of what kind of monster it is, since it possesses demigod-level characteristics and its condition is acceptable, its level of intelligence must be quite high.
Moreover, the characteristics of the "peeping into secrets" method have a certain enhancement to the brain and thinking. As long as the other party does not lose control on the spot, they have extremely high intelligence.
That's why Odis made this guess: after the monster fully understood the place, it found a way to activate the magic circle.
Cattleya pondered for a moment, then nodded, adjusted her glasses, and asked, "But why does it need to activate the magic circle?"
If the magic circle isn't activated, Bonova and Bernadette won't notice it, at least not now. Activating the magic circle is tantamount to exposing themselves.
And it even dares to search outside like this, isn't it afraid of running into Bonova or Bernadette?
Odis thought for a moment before answering, "Could it be that it doesn't know that the 'Queen' and Bonova came here for different purposes?"
"Perhaps it saw Bonova talking to us from afar and thought we had the same goal, that we were all here to hunt it."
"As for why it dares to wander around outside, it's probably because, based on its understanding of the magic circle, neither the 'Queen' nor Bonova could possibly be in the surrounding area at this time."
"Or simply, it intends to attack us two 'middle-sequence' extraordinary beings."
Cattleya was taken aback: "Why do you say that?"
"The reason is simple," Odis took a deep breath: "It knows very well that one of us needs the properties within it if we both die."
"So, is there a chance that the 'Queen' and Bonova will leave?"
Gadriya was somewhat surprised: "It actually thought of this?"
Odis laughed and said, "If I can think of that, why can't it?"
Although the path of the "secret seeker" may seem unrelated to cunning, whether it is a wizard, professor, or scholar, they are all symbols of wisdom.
In Odis's view, wisdom and cunning are often not so different.
The two fell silent for a moment. After a few seconds, Cattleya said, "Now we should find the 'Queen' as soon as possible, or find a way to get the 'Queen' to find us."
"But the problem is, Bonova is likely to find us first, and we may also meet him first."
Odis thought to himself: Compared to Bernadette, Cattleya looks like a child, but she has now reached the level of a "pirate general" and has grasped the key point immediately.
He smiled and said, "This problem is actually very easy to solve."
Cattleya asked, "What do you plan to do?"
"Pray to the Queen."
Caldelia smiled; she was laughing at herself for not having grasped the point.
"But first, we need to figure out where we are," Odis said. "Now that the monster has just left, let's take a look around."
As long as they were within the prayer area, the "Mysterious Queen" should be able to locate them, but to be on the safe side, Odis thought they should first observe the surrounding situation to see if the "Mysterious Queen" could give any guidance.
Cattleya nodded: "Okay."
The two quietly entered the corridor and walked towards the end.
The monster never appeared, and the two of them successfully reached the end of the corridor. There was indeed a window leading to the outside world, but it was pitch black outside and they couldn't see anything.
Looking down or up, you can see the lower and upper layers of ruins, but the line of sight doesn't go very far.
Odis initially thought it was a problem with his eyesight, but when he saw Cattleya looking at him, he knew that she hadn't seen anything either.
To avoid being exposed, the two went to a room with many interconnected passageways to discuss their next move.
Odis first raised his question: "Why can't we see the scene in the distance?"
Cattleya frowned, clearly she hadn't figured it out either.
After a few seconds of thought, Odis said, "We can only pray to the 'Queen' now and see if she can find us based on our prayers."
Cattleya nodded and hummed in agreement.
So Odis cleared his throat: "The Holy Spirit who pursues knowledge;
"A beacon in a mysterious world";
"Eyes peering into fate;"
"The King of the Sea";
"The Holy Bernadette Gustave".
After praying only once, Odis felt as if his spirituality had been suddenly elevated. He looked up and saw some somewhat illusory figures appearing in the air in front of him.
But then Odis sensed something was wrong. When she prayed to Bernadette before, her figure was solid and sacred, but this time it seemed like there was a "bad signal" and she looked somewhat blurry.
"You have entered a special space." Before Odis could speak, Bernadette said, "That space seems to be in the spirit world, or at least connected to it, which is why I was able to hear your prayers."
Odis suddenly recalled that after entering the spirit world, he felt a pulling sensation, as if he had entered a special space.
When Odis returned to the real world, he thought it was an illusion, but he never expected that he had actually entered a strange space.
Odis asked, "Your Majesty, how do we get out?"
"I haven't found the entrance yet. Bonova said it's a space blessed by the gods, and without finding the right way, I can't help you at all," Bernadette said.
"However, the good news is that the entrance is controlled by a magic array."
"That's certainly good news." Odis took a deep breath and asked, "That monster with the characteristics of a 'mystic' is also in here. How was it able to get in?"
Bernadette paused for a moment and then said, "I suspect that the monster originated from that space! It knows how to enter and exit that space?"
Odis was taken aback. He wondered if the monster might be a survivor of the ruins.
He pondered for a moment and then asked, "Bonova didn't know how to get in either?"
"I don't know," Bernadette said. "He said that everyone who was inside died, and all the information about the place disappeared."
Odis frowned. This sounds dangerous!
"I just made a 'prophecy' for you," Bernadette said. "It's similar to the original prophecy: there will be danger, but it won't be life-threatening."
"Moreover, the key to resolving the crisis lies with you. Pay attention to observation and thought; perhaps the way out is not difficult."
Odis paused for a moment, then said, "I understand."
Bernadette's figure became increasingly ethereal, until it finally vanished completely.
Caldelia, who was standing nearby, asked, "What are your thoughts?"
She could hear what the "Queen" had said and knew that the key to resolving the crisis lay with the "Hermit".
She even wondered if the "hermit's" method was to seek help from the "fool."
"Let me think about it." Odis had indeed considered praying to Klein and asking for the "Fool's" help, after all, he was the "Spirit Realm Ruler", and Odis and Cattleya were likely in the Spirit Realm at the moment.
But then he thought that Klein's restored strength was limited at this time, so it would be better to ask the messenger for help.
But in the end, Odis decided: "Let's find an exit first."
If he found the appropriate magic array, he was confident he could get out of here. With the mindset of "it's better to rely on yourself than others," he decided to try to find the exit himself first, and only ask for help if he encountered danger.
Caldelia had no objection to this: "Okay."
However, Odis did not set off immediately. Instead, he analyzed, "Usually, such entrances are located on the lowest or highest level. If that monster frequently enters and exits from here, it will surely leave some clues."
"Let's go to the bottom floor first and take a look. You also need to keep an eye on things for me."
"While the 'Queen's' 'prophecy' says that the key to resolving the crisis lies with me, it's also possible that you found a clue, which inspired me to come up with a solution."
Caldelia hummed in agreement: "You don't need to explain it so clearly."
Odis paused for a moment before realizing that his crew, apart from Bivis and Noy, lacked sufficient knowledge of the occult, so he had become accustomed to explaining things clearly.
However, Gadriya was far more knowledgeable than Bivis and Noy, so there was no need for her to explain herself so clearly.
After making some preparations, the two searched the corridors of the ruins and quickly found the stairs, so they went down to the bottom floor in one go.
Upon arriving at this floor, Odis and Cattleya saw five corpses lying neatly side by side in the corridor.
Perhaps due to the unique environment here, they did not completely decompose, but instead became mummies with their facial features dried out and blurred.
Odis approached cautiously, and after confirming that they were no longer a threat, he quietly entered the corridor.
What he saw instead was a scene that sent chills down his spine: the entire corridor was filled with neat rows of desiccated corpses lying on the ground.
Each row contained five corpses, arranged very neatly, as if they had all fallen together after standing in a line.
Recalling Bernadette's warning, "Everyone in this space is dead," Oddess felt a chill run down her spine.
He seemed to see something dangerous happening here, and how everyone who died came to this floor and lined up neatly, and as time passed, they gradually dried up.
Or perhaps they came to this floor after being seriously injured, lay quietly on the ground, and waited for their lives to slip away before finally dying.
Either way, they all seem rather eerie.
Odis and Cattleya were silent for more than ten seconds before Cattleya said, "That monster rarely comes here."
If I came here regularly, the mummies here wouldn't be so neatly arranged by now.
Odis thought so too: "Let's go up there and take a look."
So the two of them went back the way they came, and they tacitly refrained from discussing the strange scene that had just occurred.
If the danger here is really that great, there's no point in discussing it.
Moreover, for them, that monster was a greater threat than the dangers here.
Or rather, both of them understood a very simple truth: don't waste energy on guesses that are beyond your capabilities or have no solid basis.
After climbing just two floors, the threatening feeling emanating from the monster reappeared.
Odis and Cattleya quickly entered the corridor on this floor and hid in a room with many interconnected passageways.
They dared not breathe, sensing the danger drawing ever closer. A few seconds later, they suddenly realized that the source of the danger had stopped in the corridor outside their hiding place.
We've been discovered!
The two men had this idea almost simultaneously, and then, without any communication, these two "old hands" immediately ran towards the nearest door.
At times like this, there's no room for wishful thinking. The fact that the other party has stopped means that they've at least found a clue.
Behind that door was a narrow corridor.
"Squeak squeak squeak~"
The sudden appearance of the two people caused the rats to screech and scatter in all directions.
Odis and Cattleya frowned, because the narrow corridor was very dirty and messy, with many animal skeletons and rat droppings.
Only bones remained of the remains, suggesting that this was where the monster ate, while the rats living there followed behind, eating the scraps.
There are only two doors in this corridor, and you can only walk forward along the corridor.
Odis immediately used a "flight scroll," and the "star sand" in Cattleya's hand reappeared. The two of them flew up and passed through the corridor in mid-air.
That sense of danger followed closely behind; clearly, the monster had caught up.
However, Odis found it strange that the other party was moving so slowly.
Theoretically, a sequence 4 should be able to catch up with a sequence 6 and a sequence 5 immediately if it wanted to.
But there was no time to worry about that now. Odis and Cattleya flew out of the other door at their fastest speed.
There was another wide corridor, but it looked as if large groups of wild beasts had often fought there, with deep claw marks on the walls and broken animal carcasses on the ground.
After flying a distance further, Odis and Cattleya noticed a faint light at the corner ahead.
The moment they saw the light, they were immediately drawn to it, feeling that the source of that light was what they had been most looking forward to and most wanted to have.
At that moment, Odis felt a moment of disorientation, and slowly landed on the ground, walking slowly toward the room with light.
Even as the sense of danger drew ever closer from behind, the two of them remained unmoved and continued walking very slowly.
Odis's mind was aware of the danger and he tried to save himself, but he seemed to be completely out of control, and a force interrupted his thoughts several times.
In the face of crisis, he suddenly recalled several of Klein's self-rescue methods and quickly tried to "meditate" into the "wilderness of knowledge".
He had initially thought his "meditation" would be interrupted, but to his surprise, he easily entered the "wilderness of knowledge." Upon returning to the real world, Odis, who had briefly regained consciousness, immediately took out a scroll that was flashing with black light: "Mental Shock!"
This was one of the three scrolls he had just developed using the "Stone of Iron Laws." A mental shock exploded around them, causing some damage to Odis and Cattleya's minds, but also freeing them from their previous state.
Odis immediately replied in ancient Hermes: "I!"
"I summon in my name:"
"A spirit that wanders in delusion, a messenger belonging solely to Odis Gar."
This is a carefully considered request for help. In such an emergency, the "Fool" and the "Goddess of the Night" may not notice it immediately and may not respond promptly.
The space in front of them became illusory, and a skeleton dressed in hunting attire appeared before Odis.
Odis's messenger glanced around and said, "Didn't we agree that you'd help me find the right traits after you became a demigod? Why are you here now?"
