Chapter 30 - Metal Based Medicine

The doors of the giant hospital opened with a heavy silence, as if the place itself was holding its breath. The six doctors entered with calculated speed, the metallic beds gliding over the polished floor without a noticeable sound. ryo and shimoro remained lying there, pale-faced, with the large bag accompanying them like an inseparable shadow.

The interior was… another world.

A vast hall with a high ceiling, its walls clad in smooth green metal interlaced with pulsing light lines. Strange devices were lined up on both sides—most of them bags like those the team carried—some on shelves, and some connected to fine metallic pipes transporting fluids.

Other doctors moved here and there, though the numbers on their clothes varied… and wounded soldiers sat or were transported on similar beds; wounds, bandages, temporary metallic limbs.

The beds stopped inside a spacious room cleverly divided into two halves.

In the right corner: ryo.

In the left corner: shimoro.

The team dispersed immediately, without a single word.

Three doctors with ryo.

And three—centered by the leader of Team 099—with shimoro. She had long brown hair reaching down her back and tan skin that was clean, with hazel eyes reflecting what lay before her.

One of the doctors moved quickly, removing ryo's torn shirt.

An athletic physique appeared, surpassing average soldiers by a fair margin; toned muscles, marks of battles, superficial scratches… but no fractures, no lethal wounds.

"There is no severe bleeding…"

One of them said as he passed a light device over his chest.

The third doctor was a young man whose features still carried a trace of hesitation—he took a step forward, then said in a voice louder than necessary:

"Madam! I don't see the problem… the body is relatively sound!"

In an instant, the leader turned.

She was standing by shimoro, but her voice pierced the room like the edge of a sword:

"Examine his leg… or the energy channels!"

It wasn't a suggestion.

It was an order.

The novice doctor grew flustered, then moved quickly.

An energy-metal detector was brought and placed at ryo's leg.

The diagram appeared immediately…

Red lines, overlapping, broken.

"Exhaustion…"

One of them said in surprise.

"The right foot is completely spent. The muscle fibers are stretched beyond their limit, and the energy channels are nearly closed."

The other doctor shook his head.

"And the entire body is in a state of acute exhaustion… but he is stable. He will wake up in about a day."

They finally breathed a sigh of relief.

On the other side…

The situation was entirely different.

The leader herself removed shimoro's shirt without hesitation.

The body of a boy appeared… but not an ordinary one.

A physique rivaling a trained soldier, slightly above normal; marks of harsh training, toned muscles despite the fatigue.

Then…

The wound.

A deep gash extending from the lower abdomen to the chest.

The flesh was open.

The bleeding was slowed… but it had not stopped.

The leader froze for a moment.

Her eyes widened.

Then she said in a shocking, sharp voice that accepted no delay:

"Bring the metal bag immediately!!"

"Right away, Madam!"

The two said together and dashed off.

Seconds later, they returned with another bag identical to those that were on their backs at the gate.

It was placed before the leader, and it opened automatically.

The room filled with a faint metallic shimmer.

The leader put on special white gloves and extended her hand.

At that moment…

The aura appeared.

An aura of pure metallic color—not a loud energy, but a silent, heavy, precise pressure.

The metals inside the bag began to move, emerging and shaping themselves in the air, as if they understood what was requested before it was even said.

The other doctors stood astonished.

They had heard of this…

But they had never seen it.

Metal-Based Medicine.

The advanced medical style of Green Earthia.

It wasn't the rarest, but it was difficult,

And dangerous.

The leader did not hold a scalpel.

She did not use threads.

She did not ask for tools.

She began with precise movements, and then the metals separated the flesh with atomic precision.

The tissue opened without pain, without tearing.

In the same moment…

She moved her hand deliberately; she felt a sting in her hand, but

The capillaries closed immediately.

The bleeding stopped as if someone had paused time.

"No… this is impossible…"

One of the doctors whispered.

But the leader did not turn despite her sweat.

She was moving with fatal steadiness.

Every movement calculated.

Every piece of metal knew its place.

The flesh was rearranged.

The fibers were connected.

The damage was treated from the root.

No scalpel.

No threads.

No mistake.

She finished.

The metals withdrew quietly and returned to the bag as if nothing had happened.

The leader stood straight.

shimoro breathed…

More clearly.

In that moment, everyone realized the truth.

This was not just treatment.

This was not just skill.

This was the power of a team leader from the Central Processing Unit.

And life…

Clung to its last thread.

To be continued...
