Chapter 6 - Chapter 5

Ultimate-Class.

It was certainly power on a different dimension than before.

Every cell in my body seethed with Light Power and Demonic Power, and the laws that constituted the world felt so clear, as if I could grasp them with my hands.

With this level of power, I could probably act like a king on any ordinary battlefield.

However.

"...It's not enough."

This isn't enough.

I used nearly everything I had just to take down a single Ultimate-Class Devil.

The Four Great Satans, God, the Governor General of the Fallen Angels.

I don't even reach the toes of the bastards leading this war.

To take revenge on the ones standing at the apex of this shitty world—the ones who took everything from me—this level of power is nothing more than a childish struggle.

I didn't endure that hellish pain just to obtain this meager strength.

More.

I need more power.

"Fuck it, I don't care anymore."

I closed my eyes.

I had been damming up everything I had accumulated inside me until now.

A precarious balance barely maintained by the power of the Grail.

What would happen if I broke it?

Would my body explode and die?

It doesn't matter.

I've died thousands of times anyway.

"Pour it all out."

At my command, the Grail howled madly.

The dam holding back all the suppressed power within me collapsed all at once.

KABOOOOOOOOOM───!!

The holy Light Power stolen from Angels and Fallen Angels.

The pure Demonic Power plundered from countless Devils.

Sabnock's shadows, Aim's flames, Crocell's illusions, and even Bune's dragon transformation that I had just devoured.

Hundreds, thousands of heterogeneous powers began to rampage inside my soul, trying to kill one another.

Light and darkness clashed, fire and ice collided, and reality and illusion intermingled.

"ARGHHHHHHHHHHH───!!!"

A scream burst out.

Flesh was torn asunder, bones melted away, and internal organs burst.

My human form collapsed in an instant.

But at that moment, the rusty-gold light of the Grail enveloped me.

If destroyed, restore immediately.

If broken, rebuild it harder.

In a hell of endless destruction and creation, my body was transforming into something that could no longer be called human.

Instead of annihilating each other, the conflicting powers became a massive vortex of chaos, expanding endlessly.

The pain had already transcended the realm of sensation.

Finally, the moment everything merged into one.

I opened my eyes.

The world was beneath my feet.

Scales of pitch-black darkness were formed from shadows, and through the cracks, holy light flowed like lava.

My wings were mismatched—one made of light, the other of darkness—distorting space with every flap.

Pure Demonic Power rose like a haze from my two horns.

A dragon of horrific form, a mixture of everything.

"Grrrrrrrrr..."

The sound that flowed from my throat was no longer a human voice.

This is incredible.

I could feel the power overflowing from within.

Inside my body, opposing forces were still running wild like nuclear fusion, endlessly generating new power.

Even this pain was familiar now. No, it was closer to pleasure.

"Now, shall we go?"

Far away, in the center of the battlefield, I felt a collision of particularly massive powers.

Like a gigantic storm, the powers of numerous strong beings were gathered in one place.

There must be plenty of prey there.

I spread my wings and took flight.

The spot where I had been standing was left as a massive crater, having swallowed everything around it.

────────────────

The Supreme Command Tent of the Three Factions Alliance.

The tension of the battlefield hung heavy in the air.

Lucifer, Azazel, and the God of the Bible.

The leaders of the three major powers stood before a massive map, preparing for the raid on the Heavenly Dragons.

"The coordination between the two Heavenly Dragons is more troublesome than expected. Albion's Divide and Ddraig's Boost are truly absurd..."

Azazel muttered, stroking his chin.

At that moment, the entrance to the tent tore open, and a messenger Devil tumbled inside.

"L-Lord Lucifer! It's a disaster!"

"Don't make a fuss. Have the Heavenly Dragons invaded this far already?"

Lucifer spoke with irritation in his voice.

"N-No, it's not that! An unidentified monster has appeared on the Eastern Front! It is currently approaching this location!"

At the messenger's report, Azazel asked with interest.

"A monster? If it were just a magical beast, the eastern defense line would have handled it on their own."

"It's not a magical beast! That thing... that thing is killing everything it touches! It doesn't distinguish between ally or enemy—Angels, Fallen Angels, Devils... It is devouring the souls of everything that exists...!"

The messenger's voice trembled with terror.

"What? My head aches enough just dealing with the Heavenly Dragons rampaging out there, and now there's another variable?!"

Lucifer's brow furrowed deeply.

The God of the Bible spoke quietly.

"What are the characteristics of this existence?"

"...It was Chaos itself. Light and darkness, Demonic Power and Light Power all mixed together... It had the form of a horrific dragon, as if all the contradictions of the world were shoved together and molded into shape!"

At those words, the expressions of all the leaders in the tent stiffened.

"Of all times, a troublesome bug has to interfere at such a critical moment."

Lucifer clicked his tongue.

"We deal with the Heavenly Dragons in front of us first. We will handle that unidentified monster afterward."

"That sounds best."

"...All forces, commence the Heavenly Dragon Raid!"

Lucifer's command fell.

They did not yet know.

That the existence they called a bug was flying toward the battlefield, having become a calamity far more terrible than the two Heavenly Dragons.
