"Grandfather," Song Yue said clearly, her voice steady despite the tightness in her chest, "I'm still young. I can't marry."

"Not that young," Li Meiran added casually, as if discussing the weather. "Old enough to be held with one hand."

The words dropped like a bomb.

Song Yuxuan spat out her drink in shock. She scrambled to cover her mouth, all grace forgotten, then hurried off toward the bathroom, her carefully maintained image shattering in an instant.

Song Yue's face burned hot with anger.

How could he say something so shameless, so openly, in front of everyone?

Song Ze finally spoke. His voice was heavy, authoritative, carrying the weight of years. "Duke Li Meiran, please show some respect. Even if the Song family is not as noble as yours, we still value dignity."

Elizabeth shot her son a sharp, displeased look. This time, he had gone too far.

Li Meiran merely smiled, unfazed. "Which part of me lacked respect?" he asked lightly. "Or did you misunderstand what I meant?"
