Kaelan stared at the enormous white phoenix, unable to find an answer for a moment. He had heard many strange arguments in his life, but this creature's reasoning was something else entirely.
Was it really trying to compare the natural struggle between magical beasts and humans with the act of stealing someone's body?
The more he listened, the more he felt that something was wrong with the creature's head. It was not Kaelan who had twisted logic. It was this phoenix!
He opened his mouth, ready to refute Kraur's ridiculous argument, but before he could say anything, the white phoenix suddenly raised its head.
"Oh, excuse me. Someone is attempting to converse with me, in the outside world. We shall continue this conversation at a later time."
Before Kaelan could even ask what it meant, the enormous phoenix began to fade away. Its bright figure gradually disappeared from the mindscape, leaving him alone with the chains that still held his soul captive.
