At night, Michael woke abruptly with a sharp pain. His body felt as if it were on fire. A strange warmth coursed through his veins, and red glimmers shimmered beneath his skin. His hands trembled, and his breath came unevenly.
After a few minutes, the pain began to subside, but the glow remained. Michael stared at his hands carefully.
— What is this? What's happening to me?
At that moment… a silhouette appeared at the door. Motionless, it exuded a strange tension that filled the room. Michael, both fearful and astonished, asked:
— Who are you? What do you want?
The unknown figure stepped forward. Its face was hidden in darkness. The heavy, imposing bag in its hand was set gently on the floor.
Its voice was calm but serious:
— You will save the world, Michael. The system above has noticed you. They are already aware of your existence. They are looking for you. Be ready.
Michael tried to speak, but no sound came out of his throat. In the blink of an eye, the figure at the door vanished, as if it had never been there.
The room fell silent. Only Michael's heartbeat could be heard.
His eyes fell on the bag. He approached it slowly, bent down, and opened it. Inside were a metallic, alien-looking device, a wristband with a glowing red light, and a coded holodisk.
He picked up the wristband — and in that instant, the glow in his veins seemed to react. The device came alive, clinging to Michael's wrist and locking automatically.
The air around him changed. Everything he felt became sharper, every touch stronger. His body felt lighter, yet simultaneously more powerful.
He was no longer the same Michael as before.
He activated the holodisk in his hand.
A man's image appeared on the screen:
"If you are reading this message, the power within you has begun to awaken. You are no coincidence. The remnants of a sacred plan flow through your veins. Before you find yourself, they will seek to destroy you. Run. Hide. And awaken."
Michael whispered softly to himself:
