Lia hadn't opted to respawn back in the city. She still lay on the ground, her eyes glued to the battlefield. When the shared inventory interface popped up, and that dazzling seven-colored glow caught her eye, she gasped out loud in shock. "Holy crap! It's a Transcendent Mythic!"
That swirling iridescent light was far too unique, nothing like the glimmers of Epic or Mythic gear. It looked like a condensed patch of the vast starry sky, exuding an awe-inspiring divine aura that sent a thrill through the heart.
As the light faded, a perfectly round, milky-white orb floated quietly in the inventory slot, releasing a refreshing, moon-kissed fragrance.
"This death match was so worth it!" Kalis leaped out of the crater, laughing triumphantly. He fished out a [Resurrection Scroll] with a flick of his wrist, and a flash of light brought the fallen Lia back to her feet. "We got a Transcendent Mythic! This is *insane*!"
"You're unreal… You actually soloed a Level 200 Mythic Overlord. This is nothing short of a miracle!" Lia brushed the dust off her clothes, her eyes wide with disbelief as she looked at Kalis.
If she hadn't lived through it herself, she would've never believed anyone could pull off such an earth-shattering feat less than two days after the server launch. Staring at the mountain of loot in the inventory, her mind went completely blank, too stunned to think straight.
Almost in unison, both of them reached out and clicked on the orb glowing with seven-colored divine light.

Kalis and Lia both sucked in a sharp breath, their eyes bulging like saucers.
This Transcendent Mythic had no base stats whatsoever, but the bonuses from its first two effects alone were more than enough to outclass every other piece of gear in the world!
A random Level 50 player equipping this would instantly gain 4000 Spell Power and 50000 Max HP!
To put that in perspective, when Kalis was Level 60, he'd only just scraped past 800 Spell Power with all his gear bonuses combined!
With this Transcendent Mythic in hand, even the most basic Cleric, no hidden talents required, could dominate [Eternal Realm] with ease.
And that wasn't even mentioning the broken OP effects that followed: [Lunar Wisdom] would let Lia skip all the tedious skill quests and master every divine ability of the Lunar Magister.
As for the active skill [Wrath of the Moon Goddess]? It was a mobile forbidden spell with no casting time. Its destructive power was absolutely terrifying!
This was the true power of a Transcendent Mythic!
However…
For all its game-breaking power, this treasure came with an absurdly strict equipment requirement—only a Chosen Disciple of the Moon Goddess could wield it.
To make matters worse, the second it dropped, it had automatically bound itself to Lia, not even giving Kalis the chance to lay a single finger on it!
Kalis's sanity snapped on the spot.
He stared at Lia with big, pleading eyes, his voice sounding like a wronged child's. "Ms. Lia… how about we swap accounts? I promise I'll level yours up and gear it out like a boss!"
Lia was still reeling from the shock of the Transcendent Mythic. She shook her head instinctively. "Can't do that. All accounts are soul-bound—they're completely untradable."
Kalis's heart shattered into a million tiny pieces.
He'd fought tooth and nail, cheated death countless times to get this Transcendent Mythic to drop. And now it turned out he didn't get a single thing out of it? The frustration was worse than losing the fight entirely!
Lia finally snapped out of her daze. Glancing at the Lunar Orb of Divinity sitting quietly in her inventory, she couldn't stop the grin from spreading across her face. Then she turned to look at Kalis's pathetic, puppy-dog expression, and she burst out laughing.
"Alright, alright, quit moping." Lia patted him on the shoulder, trying her best to hold back her giggles as she comforted him. "Look at all the other Mythic gear and items in the inventory! Any single piece of that could sell for a fortune at auction!"
"Sigh… nothing compares to the best." Kalis let out a long, dramatic sigh, his face clouded with melancholy. "After seeing the stats on the Lunar Orb, all these Mythic items just feel like garbage you'd pick up off the side of the road."
Damn this game's system!
He'd been the main damage dealer of the fight, tanking 99% of Dafiona's attacks. And yet the Transcendent Mythic went to the support who'd been slacking off the whole time, only healing him once in a while?
Where was the justice in that?!
The joy of securing the first kill on a Level 200 Mythic Boss was instantly doused by a bucket of cold water. All Kalis felt now was pure, unadulterated misery.
But then again, he couldn't say he hadn't seen this coming. After all, when they'd first taken the quest, Dafiona had mentioned that the Moon Goddess's treasures could only be wielded by her followers. Now that he'd seen the item's stats for himself, he had no choice but to concede defeat.
Oh well, out of sight, out of mind. Kalis forced down his bitterness and started tallying up the rest of the loot.
The Lunar Orb of Divinity had never even passed through his hands. The moment the system had determined its owner, it had been sent directly to Lia's personal inventory.
"Kalis, thank you so much!" Lia hugged her brand-new Transcendent Mythic tightly, her eyes crinkling into happy slits as she spoke with genuine gratitude. "You not only helped me finish my class change quest, you also got me this broken OP gear! From now on, if you ever need anything, whether it's storming the Lunar Temple or even fighting a real-life street brawl, I'll be there in a heartbeat! I'll even fly across the country just to cheer you on!"
"Okay." Kalis nodded, a flicker of his good mood returning.
All things considered, this had still been a massive win. He might not have gotten the Transcendent Mythic, but he'd gained a powerhouse teammate and a backpack full of Mythic loot.
With the Lunar Orb of Divinity in her hands, Lia was destined to become the top support in [Eternal Realm]. And as for him? Barring any accidents, he'd keep his throne as the server's number one damage dealer.
Together, they'd eventually be able to steamroll every Boss in the game. And when that day came, Transcendent Mythics would be theirs for the taking!
As for real-life brawls? He was a laid-back player, not some street thug. When would he ever need to fight someone offline?
First things first—loot time!
The gold coins in the shared inventory weren't anything to write home about—only 200000 in total.
Clearly, that old witch Dafiona had been a cheapskate. That 200000 gold was most likely just the server's guaranteed first-kill reward.
But the item rewards were nothing short of mind-blowing!
Six full pieces of Mythic-grade loot filled the inventory slots, a glittering hoard of treasure.
Three of them were gear items—all Level 150 Tier 4 God-tier equipment with top-of-the-line stats. Unfortunately, both of them were still way too low-level to wear them, so they'd have to collect dust in the guild vault for now.
The other three items, however, were priceless beyond measure!
First up was a strategic treasure coveted by every guild in the server: [Guild Residence Token]!
Less than two days after launch, the value of Guild Residence Tokens had already skyrocketed to astronomical heights. Even if it couldn't fetch 100 million gold, it would easily sell for 30 to 40 million!
Second was an ancient scroll shimmering with soft moonlight: [Tome of the Lunar Priest]!
Its description read: Present this scroll at the Temple of the Moon Goddess to change your class to the Hidden Class 'Lunar Priest".
"This would be perfect for Lenore…" Kalis thought to himself.
Lenore was also a support main, but she'd never been able to find a decent class change quest. Now he could just hand her this and gift her a Hidden Class.
Though he had no idea whether Lunar Priest was stronger than Lunar Magister.
Third was a crimson-colored God-tier potion: [Heart of the Sacred]!

Kalis wasted no time in crushing the potion. A warm current instantly spread through his body, his Intelligence stat soaring on his character sheet—and his Spell Power along with it.
On top of all that, the inventory was stuffed with over a hundred Epic and Legendary-grade skill books and consumables.
The only item that would be useful to Kalis was a single Legendary skill book: [Vacuum Blade]!

Unleashes a sharp blade of vacuum energy that surges forward 30 meters. Deals 200% of Spell Power as Spell Damage to all enemies in its path. Dissipates after hitting 10 targets or reaching maximum range. Produces a deafening, air-splitting howl as it travels.

With Kalis's Celestial Mage talent bonus, this skill's travel distance jumped straight to 180 meters—making it a god-tier ability for long-range area clears.
The only downside was that the 10-target damage cap wasn't affected by his talents, limiting it to a finishing move or a gap-filler between his bigger spells.
"Oh, right! We still have the Mythic skill books from the first-kill reward!" Kalis slapped his forehead suddenly, remembering the two top-tier treasures sitting at the bottom of his inventory.
Lia's eyes lit up like lightbulbs as she realized it too.
Mythic skills—the ultimate divine abilities that stood above even Legendary forbidden spells. They were also known as "God Punishments"!
Almost simultaneously, both of them shared their system-rewarded Mythic skill books in the party chat.
