Chapter 130 - Chapter 128 Earthlings? Ants!

"Tony, I'm sorry! I was wrong, I was really wrong!"

Rimuru clasped his hands together, apologizing sincerely.

Tony Stark slumped in a dramatic 'Ge You' pose, glaring at Rimuru, his eyes nearly popping out.

He had been forgotten! That scoundrel Rimuru had actually forgotten him!

A man as handsome, dashing, and charismatic as Tony, forgotten by a little slime!

How could Rimuru possibly be so forgetful?!

His teeth ached with anger just thinking about it. In the endless darkness, he had been free-falling for a whole day—a full day!

At first, he had been terrified, screaming until his throat was raw, to no avail. Eventually, he had tried to sleep, waking up hungry… only to discover that the slime was still falling endlessly!

"If you're still mad, then hit me!"

As Rimuru spoke, thick magical armor formed around his body.

"You—"

Finally, Stark understood: this slime, if cut open, would be black all the way to the core of its soul. How had he ended up with such a friend?!

Stark gritted his teeth. "When we get back, I'm definitely developing anti-Rimuru armor. I hold grudges, you know!"

"Alright, alright, Tony! You have to work hard! I'm rooting for you!"

Rimuru's cheerful, almost parental encouragement made Tony's blood boil. His heart raced so violently it felt like his arc reactor might shut down.

The other Avengers watched, secretly delighted.

Stark finally got a taste of his own medicine!

Even the usually calm Captain America felt a surge of satisfaction. Tony had mocked him repeatedly, calling him an old man and deriding his movements. Captain had no outlet for his frustration—until now, witnessing Rimuru's cunning matched against Tony's antics.

It truly takes one to beat one.

"Tony, I was really wrong. I still have some treasured magic Steel Blocks here. Their greatest ability is to allow weapons to adapt to the user's will. I'll give them to you—see what you can create!"

Rimuru produced several shimmering magic Steel Blocks.

Tony's eyes immediately lit up. The brilliant colors ignited an itch of excitement in his heart. Rimuru's casual generosity hit him right where it counted.

The other Avengers exchanged glances. More treasures? This slime truly lived up to the nickname of 'Doraemon' among the Avengers!

Interest in Rimuru grew, and their admiration deepened.

"Tony, let's not rush into research yet. First, we need to discuss potential problems and countermeasures…"

Asgard

The once-picturesque realm of Asgard was now smoke-filled and burning, bodies strewn across the land.

After Thor's return, the Asgardians' morale had recovered significantly. But even so, they could not withstand the overwhelming forces that surrounded their city, losing the initiative.

Enemy warships were too numerous. The Asgardian fleet had been almost annihilated, but they managed to destroy a significant portion of the three nations' armadas—a blessing in disguise.

Activating the protective shield around the palace, Thor led the Asgardian army into a bloody battle.

After his exile, Thor's strength had grown immensely. He struck down several high-ranking generals of the Frost and Fire Giants in an instant, boosting Asgardian morale.

Yet the combined forces of the three nations were immense, and the disparity in numbers was staggering. Asgard fought bitterly.

Outside, the entire sky was thick with enemy forces.

Divine powers and magic made this war completely different from Earth's modern battles. Compared to bombs and artillery, combat here was primal, relying on raw strength and magical might.

Ice from the Frost Giants, flames from the Fire Giants, divine curses from the Vanir, and the magic of Asgard—the battlefield was a meat grinder of gods and demons.

Even so, the Asgardians held their ground, fighting to a stalemate. Their individual strength truly lived up to their godly reputation.

The Frost Giants were the first to grow impatient.

Laufey released a frozen giant—one of Jotunheim's trump cards, the same monster that had once pushed Thor, Loki, Sif, and other Asgardian generals to the brink of despair in Thor 1.

Ordinary soldiers' fates against such a creature were predictable: death.

The Frost Giants charged, scattering the Asgardian formation and causing massive casualties.

But then Thor, wielding Mjolnir, descended from the sky. Thunder and lightning erupted with his hammer strikes, and the Frost Giant fell.

"Thor!""Thor!""Thor!"

Asgardian soldiers' morale skyrocketed as they shouted his name.

Laufey, aboard his flagship, had bloodshot eyes. The death of one Frost Giant was insignificant—yet the symbolism was profound. Thor reminded him of a young Odin.

"Thor, Odin's son… exile has made you stronger, but I will not allow you to become another Odin!"

"Release all Frost Giants! All forces attack! Flatten Asgard at all costs!"

On the other side, Surtur commanded the Fire Giants. Massive fire dragons blotted out the sky, followed by endless legions of Fire Giants advancing relentlessly toward the palace.

The Vanir also joined, sending stone men, treants, and wizards.

For a moment, all of Asgard trembled beneath the combined might of the three invading armies.

Even the Asgardian divine army—the strongest in the Nine Realms—began to waver. Could they truly win this war? Would the realm of the gods fall?

"Clang! Clang! Clang!"

Thor swung Mjolnir, sweeping across the battlefield, smashing Frost Giants attacking Sif, Fandral, and other dignitaries, saving them from peril.

Boom!

Lightning erupted as Thor slammed the hammer into the ground, clearing a large area around him.

"Do not be afraid! Reinforcements will arrive soon. Victory belongs to Asgard!"

Reinforcements?

Though puzzled, Asgardian morale surged. They regained hope, even reclaiming lost ground.

The Frost Giants, Fire Giants, and Vanir armies, however, were far from pleased.

A Vanir prophet quickly calculated the source of Asgard's reinforcements.

"Asgard's reinforcements… are Earthlings?"

"They are Midgardians!"

"Midgardians? Weaklings, ants you could crush by the thousands?"

"Yes!"

"Hahahahaha!"

Laughter erupted across the enemy ranks. Midgardians as reinforcements? Were the Asgardians truly desperate? In this battle, Asgard seemed doomed.
