Chapter 1 - Chapter 1 a new world

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

'…'

When I opened my eyes, the first thing I felt was silence—a heavy, unfamiliar silence. I couldn't move. I couldn't speak.

My vision was blurry, shapes melting into the darkness around me.

'…What… where am I?'

I tried to move my arms and legs—but they weren't there.

My breath caught.

My jawbone was ripped out, my limbs gone, my body lying in a pool of blood.

Strangely, I didn't feel as much pain as I should have. Just confusion. Fear.

And then, within minutes, my torn body began… regenerating.

When the pain stopped, when I could finally speak again, only one thought burned in my mind:

"Where… am I?"

Just moments ago, I was in my room, studying. Now I was somewhere else—

inside another person's body.

A sharp pain stabbed into my head, forcing me to my knees.

"Ah—what is this? Why… why does my head hurt so much?"

Memories—memories that weren't mine—rushed in like a storm.

A creature. A strange, twisted creature… something wild, something wrong.

A glass ball… black fog… screams… then nothing.

As the headache faded, I realized I was standing inside an old farmhouse.

When I stepped outside, the cold air stung my skin.

This place looked like early 20th-century Britain.

And the life attached to the body whispered more.

I had a sister.

I had a job as a detective.

I had a name—Leon.

But Leon had died .

So… who was I now?

---

I began walking toward town. People were busy, buying things, talking.

Then I noticed a man on the street, selling books on a small wooden table.

"Hello," I said. "What are you selling?"

"Books. These are the last books I have before I move out," he replied.

One book caught my eye. Its title was "Inogorox."

I picked it up.

"It talks about strange creatures," the man said. "Ghost-like things. They call them Inogrox… some people think it's just a children's story."

"Inogrox…" I repeated. "Hmm."

"Hey, can I buy this?" I asked.

"Sure. Three hundred koi."

"Here."

"Thank you, sir."

---

When I reached home, I rang the bell.

My sister opened the door.

"Leon? You're back! Why didn't you come home last night? Were you on a night shift?"

"Sorry," I said, forcing a smile. "I…I'll tell you next time."

"It's okay. Just let me know, alright?"

"Alright."

"Did you eat last night?"

"I… don't remember."

She frowned.

"Go shower. I'll cook something. After you eat, you need to rest."

"Thank you. You're kind."

She smiled—warm, caring.

A sister like this… Leon must have loved her a lot.

After I ate, I went to my room.

It was small—one bed, a lamp, some clothes.

I didn't know this place, yet it felt safe.

I fell asleep.

---

When I woke up, sunlight filled the room.

I sat at my desk and opened the book I bought.

"In the world," it said,

"there are supernatural events—unnatural forest fires, sudden winters, unexplained deaths."

All of them were caused by Inogrox—ghostlike creatures with supernatural powers like illusion, shadow, poison, inferno, phantom, Puppeteering, and more.

They cannot be killed or defeated by normal means—guns, swords, nothing works.

But some people can fight them.

People with paranormal powers.

They work in the shadows, unseen, unknown.

They are called Arcane Reapers.

And then the book ends the other pages were blank

I read the sentence again.

If this world is real… then what attacked me that day—

It was definitely an Inogrox.

But then another thought struck me.

"Why don't people know about them?"

And more importantly—

"Where can I find the Excicuters… and how do they have supernatural powers?"

"Why do they even exist ?"

I closed the book slowly.

"Hmm…"

A new mystery had already begun.
