Chapter 42 - World of the endless winter

After a long conversation, Leo finally came to understand all the rules of the system.

Using a screen located beneath the counter, Leo apparently had the ability to move his shop across time and space.

What the system defined as invincibility corresponded to his current cultivation level, which was Gold Core, third tier. If he increased the system's level, his own invincibility level would also rise.

Additionally, the unclaimed gift the system mentioned was related to this feature.

The first time he made a choice of time and space, that selection would be completely free of charge.

Moreover, Leo learned something interesting: moving his shop away from this world, if he wished to return, he would come back to the exact same moment in time.

In other words, no one would notice the absence of his shop.

For Leo, the only obstacles at the moment were Ms. Saem and the little spy Hana.

[Memory Erasure Medicine (last one day): 12 system points]

In the later sections of his level zero shop, Leo did find something suitable for this situation, but twelve points was not a small amount either.

If possible, he needed to find a way to get Ms. Saem and Hana out of the house, and while doing so, go out and handle his sales.

Leo knew that even if he wanted to make his first sales, he would not be able to do so today, but he also did not want to spend the night sleeping.

He spent approximately 1,000 system points in the system shop and filled several shelves closest to the counter with products he believed would be extremely valuable in a zombie apocalypse world.

After that, he entered the system's shop relocation function and began fiddling with filters in order to unlock his first location.

[Random Location Unlock: 1,000,000 system points]

[Custom Location Unlock: 1000–??? system points]

When he selected the custom location creation option, a small dragon appeared on the system screen and began asking questions.

[Would you prefer the location you wish to create to be in outer space, or on a planet or space station?]

"Can I choose a star?"

[Of course.]

"I want it to be on a planet."

[A living planet or a dead planet?]

"A living planet... of course?"

[Which species would you like to form the majority of the planet's life?]

"Can you do me a favor and make things easier for me?"

[As you command, sir.]

"The location I want to choose should be an apocalypse planet. For some reason, the apocalypse must have appeared suddenly, and humanity should have begun a struggle for survival. Moreover, in this world, at least ten years should have passed since the apocalypse began, and for some reason, growing food in fields should be extremely difficult. I think if I go to such a world, I can easily make sales."

[Please wait a moment, sir… here are some locations I have selected for you. Under normal circumstances, you would not be able to see such detailed information about a location without unlocking it, but since you technically have unlimited points right now, you may ignore this rule. Of course, this only applies to the first three locations you view.]

"Then only show two worlds."

[The Desolate Lands:

Danger Level: Level 2

Location Unlock Cost: 1,982,899 system points

Summary: In a plague that appeared ten years ago, 99.999% of humanity died. The infected humans, referred to as zombies, began to die of starvation once the human population was driven to the brink of extinction. At present, only a handful of humans remain in the world, struggling not to starve while trying to maintain their psychological health.

Special Note from the Little Dragon: Some special mutant zombies are still alive and dangerous, and the probability of encountering one of them is much higher than the probability of encountering one of the humans; the number of humans is only around 100,000.]

"How is the danger level calculated?"

[Based on the strength of the strongest living being. In other words, even while inside the shop in this world, there is a small chance you could die. The easiest way to solve this problem is to raise the system to level two as soon as possible.]

"This world is out of the question. If there are so few people, my chances of encountering them would be very low as well. I'm not taking such a risk."

[World of the Endless Winter:

Danger Level: Level 18

Location Unlock Cost: 4,132,231,445 system points

Summary: As a result of an unknown creature rewriting reality, all of humanity suddenly entered an ice age, and the size of the world increased four hundred thousand times. When this event occurred approximately ten years ago, everyone in the world opened their eyes at a small station stop near a set of train tracks. From then on, in order to survive, humans had to use the trains at their stations to move along the rails, constantly overcoming the dangers they encountered while searching for resources.

Special Note from the Little Dragon: The reason this world is extremely dangerous is due to an unknown creature that constantly observes it. Personally, I recommend unlocking the location on the second day after the apocalypse began. From that day until the end of the first year of the apocalypse, the unknown creature was not interested in observing this world, and that period, was when humans suffered the most from hunger.]

When Leo first saw the second option, he felt disappointed, because this was not a zombie apocalypse but an ice apocalypse. However, as he continued reading, he began to take some interest. Moreover, the little dragon's note had been extremely helpful.

More importantly, unlocking the second world through normal means would cost more than four billion points. or 6 quadrillion won or 4 billion dollars...

Naturally, before making a decision, Leo wanted to try one more thing.

"Little dragon, find me a world that is a xianxia world, where technology has never developed. Everything should be handled through magic. When they see a pack of noodles, they should say, wow, what an advanced delicacy. A world where spices and glassworking are rare… You know what I'm talking about bro."

After a while, as Leo looked at the world that appeared before him, he felt the urge to beat up the little dragon.

It really was a world just as he had described, but the danger level was already level 29 even without the help of an unknown life form.

In other words, while trying to do business, the chance of being slaughtered by a spoiled brat from the 999th generation of a random cultivator family was not small.

In the end, with a sigh, he refocused on the second option.

Fortunately, to redeem itself, the little dragon had chosen a train station where twelve railway lines converged as the shop location. Since the apocalypse had only just begun, there were still close to six billion people alive in the world. As a result, it would not take days for him to find customers.

At that moment, probably only a group of hungry and sick people had died.
