Roxanna wanted to argue, but after thinking for a moment, she realized that Luan was completely right. She had no experience climbing slippery cliffs. If she insisted on staying in her human form, she would only become a burden to both of them.
"Alright. I'll turn into a fox," she said at last.
Without wasting any time, they packed up their things. As soon as Roxanna changed into a small fox, they immediately began to climb.
She lay on top of the bag, her little body carefully tied to Luan's chest with her clothes so she wouldn't slip and fall.
[Damn… it's really high,] Roxanna thought as she accidentally glanced down. Thick mist covered the mountain, and she could barely see the ground. [We'd be in serious trouble if we fell.]
She could heal herself and her husbands, but that didn't mean the pain would disappear. It would still hurt terribly. That was why she kept praying in her heart that none of them would slip.
