Before anyone could say anything, Roxanna rushed toward their hut, almost like she was running. When she arrived, she hissed when she saw a headless corpse—probably Vino's—lying near their beds.
It looked creepy, but Roxanna felt more annoyed because the beds had gotten dirty with blood. She had to tell her husbands to clean this mess immediately before their beds got ruined.
She didn't want to deal with that right now, so she forced herself to ignore it. Holding her breath, Roxanna walked past the corpse and headed straight for the bedroom, trying her best not to look at the body again.
She knocked on the door three times. "Calen?" she called. "Calen, are you awake?"
She waited outside for at least two minutes before finally deciding to just open the door. At that moment, she saw Calen still lying on the bed, and it looked like he was still asleep.
