Roxanna pressed her lips into a thin line, then spoke softly. "I'm pregnant…" She paused before adding, "With Azul's child."
After hearing those words, everyone fell silent. Even Luan, who had been holding Calen back, let him go, only to immediately launch himself toward Azul again.
Zeir finally turned to look at her. He bit the inside of his cheek and clenched his jaw. Cyrus, on the other hand, said nothing and didn't even move, as if his whole body had frozen.
Then, a few seconds later, Cyrus suddenly collapsed to the ground like a stiff tree branch.
"L-Let's throw him into the well!" Luan shouted the moment he found his voice again.
"P-Please, don't fight!" Roxanna tried to stop them, but Calen and Luan had already dragged Azul to the well and thrown him in, clearly hoping he'd drown.
But of course, nothing like that could happen because he was a fish.
