The slime struck with terrifying speed. Its tendrils wrapped around Izuku's arms, pulling him off his feet. Panic surged through him, clouding his vision. He struggled, but his mind was scattered from the day's events; the relentless bullying had left him unfocused.
From the distance, a booming voice shouted:
"Midoriya!"
All Might landed with a shockwave that rattled the nearby windows. His eyes narrowed at the green ooze threatening the boy. Without hesitation, he swung his massive arm, sending the slime recoiling with a powerful blow.
Izuku clung to All Might's leg, trembling, notebook in hand. His eyes were wide with awe and fear. The hero knelt, gently steadying him.
But the slime, sensing its moment, slithered away, disappearing into the shadows. Its intelligence was cunning, and it carried off something in its wake—a figure he would soon know well: Momo Yaoyorozu.
Before he could even process what happened, All Might rose, his gaze sweeping over the scene. "Stay close, Midoriya," he said, voice softening as he handed the notebook back. Then he departed, leaving the young boy alone on the rooftop.
