Rain steps down the Thread. Futurum, Zarya and Fae follow in her steps.
"Thank you for the flowers. So, what's the moon about?", asks Rain, taking Mailen's flowers and giving them to Futurum to put it in a plant processing room to grow.
"The people prefer peace and quiet, kind of like us. They want to follow the path of the Thread and make sure we are always safe. You never know what can happen in our future adventures.", says Mailen.
A person comes up from behind Mailen and introduces themselves.
"Welcome, Weavers. I am Renji, the spokesperson of Shingetsu after Star. I will show you around, Mr. Mailen.", says a man, giving his hand forward to Mailen into a handshake.
"Ah, Mr. Renji. Star told me about you. You'll take on the leadership temporarily until we decide on the permanent leader.", says Mailen.
Rain quickly adds that she'll abstain from leading Shingetsu. She is already busy with the Thread alone.
Mailen leaves with Aeternum and Fae with Renji.
The girls go grab a coffee nearby. Rain receives a message that the Thread's funds for Shingetsu have updated. A grand total of fifteen trillion colacks has been deposited into the Shingetsu fund account. That's nearly a billion times more than what the Thread currently has.
"What the…"
Rain is feeling extremely surprised while staring at the phone. That's a lot of zeros for money. However, that's barely not even scratching the surface of how much money the richest species have in the Universe.
Just then, Star also sends them a message: "Hey, Ms. Rain. These funds are your developmental funds for Shingetsu, now known as Threadia, as requested by Mr. Kurpun."
Rain looks at the phone, and wonders: "Wow. Also, new name. Cool."
Futurum sees the money on Rain's phone and asks to make a landing station for the Thread. She calls up Mailen and Aeternum to discuss such plans.
A while later, everyone comes together.
"Okay. Let's finally assign roles.", says Mailen, with a huge piece of sheet paper.
"Rain – Funds. Aeternum – Strategy and Defense. Zarya – Entertainment. Mailen – President.", says Mailen. Everyone agrees with that. However, Rain has an objection.
"Look, that's all good, but how do we lead a whole planet and also do missions?"
"Hm… Well, Renji is our spokesperson. He will lead Threadia while we're away. There's also five hundred members in Renji's governing party, so really there's no problem.", says Mailen with confidence. Renji gives a thumbs up.
Renji adds: "Also, there's fifteen regions of Shingetsu, now Threadia. Maybe, for simplicity, let's have fourteen more spokespeople."
Mailen looks at Renji and nods his head. "You're right. This may be tough."
Zarya, who has been all quiet throughout the talks, finally speaks up: "I kind of understand why Star has had a tough time dealing with Shingetsu. Too much work. All this politics bulls**t is too difficult. I'm out. Ч**т (Damn it)"
Futurum agrees. "My work in the Intelligence Network already requires a lot of my mental power. I cannot deal with politics. This leaves Mailen, Rain, and Kärn."
Mailen stands up from the table and stretches. "Okay. I'll take the lead together with Rain, as she leads the Thread. But everything will be done by Renji and other spokespeople. I'll go personally find fourteen other spokespeople with him."
The crew decide to set themselves up in the big skyscraper in Threadia's capital: "Elarun".
A few days later, after everyone set themselves up, and the construction of the "Starry Station" started, the fourteen spokespeople have finally been chosen.
"To honor the new leaders of Shingetsu, the moon has now been renamed to 'Threadia'. Our main leader, Mailen Kurpun, will lead the newly founded 'Fifteen Hearts'. Here are all the names of the leaders.", says Renji at the 'Grand Stadium of Seven Moons' in Elarun.
"Region 1 – Elarun, led by Renji Shiren. Region 2 – Kuna, led by Maya Rodnova. Region 3 – Hamakyu, led by Tamano Kochira. Region 4 – Seppa, led by Jane Fersting. Region 5 – North Almara, led by Hamyung Zutto. Region 6 – South Almara, led by Inyjing Purteku. Region 7 – Nanaka, led by Sebastian Grown. Region 8 – Lampa, led by Kumata Sampo. Region 9 – Orama, led by Otto Reichman. Region 10 – Juuma, led by Sarka Kurina. Region 11 – Friema, led by Emma Sultan. Region 12 – Calyx, led by Luna Umira. Region 13 – Boya, led by Mizuki Tachina. Region 14 – Yapparon, led by Luka Starcoal. And finally, Region 15 – Starry Station, led by Rain Usen and Mailen Kurpun."
Renji exhales after mentioning all these names. The crowd cheers for the new leaders of the Threadian regions. The borders are redrawn a little bit to fit the people's needs.
Finally, everything settles down. The Starry Station is being built, and everybody is having an enjoyable time. However, this sole acquisition of Shingetsu, now Threadia, is the Thread's biggest mistake.
Over on the Solar System, 10 Scientists return from their vacation in Hoshinara, bringing important news.
"Where is Mr. Wolf? He needs to know this.", says one of the Scientists.
"Over there.", says the receptionist, pointing at a room.
The Scientists enter the room, and see Mr. Wolf, the leader of the Solar Scientists in his office.
"Mr. Wolf. They are alive.", says the shocked Scientist. "We've spotted them in Hoshinara. They landed on their designated platform, too."
"What? Miss Usen and Xita are alive?", says Mr. Wolf, the leader of the Solar Scientists, the leaders of the Solar System.
"Positive", says the shocked Scientist.
"Get the news onto this. Find Rain's mother. She will be interrogated.", says Mr. Wolf
A few hours later, on Earth, 20 policemen enter the house of Jala Usen, Rain's mother, in Badima, South Irca.
"Date: Month of Feasting, Day 24, 5012 SE. Hour 5. Mrs. Usen cannot be found in her apartment.", says the policeman.
"Over. Data collected. Take anything important.", says a deep voice from the walkie-talkie.
"Boss. The apartment is completely empty.", says the policeman.
On the big screen on the main square in Badima, the news are turned on.
"Breaking news! Miss Rain Usen and Xita Rita have been found alive in Hoshinara. They have broken Solar law, and have turned against the Scientists, and are bringing the evil Holder propaganda into the Universe. We hereby declare war on the Astral Thread, Hoshinara, and its 7 moons."
The people are confused about what's going on, but many start to turn against the Thread. The people of Earth, Mars, Titan, and Europa have been brainwashed into Scientist propaganda.
In the Kuiper Belt, a small spaceship can be seen leaving the System quietly.
"Everybody is turning against the Thread, huh. The Scientists are so corrupt, they don't even know what they're doing.", says Jala, controlling the spaceship into a warp jump towards Hoshinara. She picks up her phone, and calls Rain.
"Who's calling me?", asks Rain, picking up her phone. "Hello?"
"Rain. The Scientists have waged war against Hoshinara, Threadia and the Thread itself. I am trying to escape the System, but they have put a wall around the Kuiper Belt.", says Jala in tears, hearing Rain's voice.
Rain starts to tear up, knowing that the Scientists are going after her now. She has received the Scientists' letter of war and understood everything.
"Mom. Please, let me help you come here. I don't want you to be there anymore.", cries Rain. Zarya is overhearing Rain's conversation with Jala, and remembers something her own mother, Irina Lunova, told her before her death.
"Zarya. Every time you hear a cry for help inside someone. Always reach out. Everywhere in the Universe, tragedies happen – and that's something we cannot stop. So, please. If you ever find yourself in a tragedy where your own friends are in danger, always step out to help. You're a fighter."
Zarya breathes deeply and comes towards Rain after she finishes her conversation with Jala.
"Rain. Your former leader is against us. A big battle is inevitable. They will not attack first. They want us to attack first."
"How do you know?", asks Rain, wiping her tears.
"They will try to use your mother against you, to make a reason for you to attack them. They never attacked first, even in the Andromeda War, 7000 years ago.", says Zarya. "They can do anything, just to provocateur you into attempting to enter the System and fight them."
However, Zarya missed one point. While the Scientists use mental games, they also kill those close to the leader of the faction they're against.
Aeternum, Futurum and Fae are in a park. Fae is playing on a swing, and Aeternum and Futurum are talking about the Thread's actions in former missions.
A man comes up to the two and asks Aeternum to help him with something.
"Hey there. Are you Aeternum, a member of the Thread and the Intelligence Network?", asks the man.
"Yes? What's up? How can I help?", says Aeternum. Futurum looks at the man and recognizes the symbol on his sleeve. While Aeternum was more focused on the face, Futurum was focused on this one symbol.
"The Network requests a meeting with you. I am with the Network, and here's my ID.", says the man.
The man hands over the ID to Aeternum, and he takes a look at it. It seems legit, so Aeternum stands up. Just then, the man grabs Aeternum and grabs a knife from his pocket, trying to slice his throat.
Futurum gets shocked, and a rush of adrenaline hits her. She runs into the man, bumping him into falling over. However, the man is very brutal and slices a bit of Futurum's hand. Aeternum then creates his small wormhole.
"Push him!", shouts Aeternum, telling Futurum to push the man into the wormhole. The man gets disintegrated. All this also got Fae curious, as her dad's shouts usually mean something serious is going on.
Fae walks up after everything, while Futurum's trying to help Aeternum stand up, both in pain. Futurum has received 1 stab and 2 slices on the hand, while Aeternum has a small slice on the throat, still bleeding like a fountain. Futurum uses her healing magic to heal Aeternum first.
"Mom, are you okay? You're bleeding!", says Fae, starting to cry.
"I'm okay, love. Look, it's healed!", says Futurum, applying healing magic on her own hand.
"Oh, okay! Be careful, please!!", says Fae, wiping her tears.
Back in the System, in the Kuiper Belt, a few high-ranked officials found Jala's spaceship and entered it. They took her, but Jala resisted and escaped. They then tried again. An officer slowly but surely entered Jala's own room. When Jala entered it afterwards, he put her in a large human-sized bag, and sealed it shut, with only 1 small hole for the air to come in.
Jala kept moving around and eventually broke the bag. She fell and rolled over to grab her gun from the drawer. She shot the officer in the head.
"What the f**k are you doing, kidnapping an old lady like that, huh?", says Jala, spitting on the man. "What losers you are."
Jala throws the body into space out the window and quickly goes into an uninhabitable small planet. She hides there and goes underground with an oxygen tank she has, that'll last her around 3 days.
"I'm really screwed if I don't find a way out this thing.", says Jala, sitting down in a cave.
On Hoshinara, Aeternum, Futurum and Fae run towards Rain in the Thread.
"Leave, immediately. The Scientists are after us. They nearly slit my throat.", says Aeternum. "They also stabbed Futurum, but she healed us both."
Rain quickly understands. She forces an emergency teleportation into the Thread for everyone, and leaves towards Hoshinara, who has now expelled every Scientist, and has increased their entry safety, to protect the Thread.
