Izuku had been looking forward to this day for a long time. His first full day as a UA student. For the second day in a row, Izuku found himself conceding defeat as he walked into the kitchen with his tie in hand. He beelined to his father who was happily helping his mother cook breakfast as she prepared Himiko's bento for lunch. "Dad, I need you to help me with my tie again."
His father looked up from the eggs he was frying for only a second before taking the tie from his hand and swiftly tied it around Izuku's neck. "We should probably practice your tie tying skills this weekend. Or perhaps you could ask Oboro or your brothers for lessons at some point during your free time at night on your nights off from patrol."
Izuku huffed. "I just don't get how you can make look so easy."
His mother waved the spoon that she had been using to pack the rice in the bento at his father. "He has the benefit of two centuries of practice Sweetie. I would be shocked if he didn't."
Izuku looked around the kitchen. "Dadtective go to bed already?"
His father shook his head. "No, Naomasa is just helping wake your baby sister up. He'll probably not be awake much longer after he eats his dinner though."
Izuku frowned slightly. "You guys haven't really been seeing much of each other since he started working his normal hours again. And by that I mean working overtime all the time."
His Dad sighed. "I am seriously tempted to just set an alarm for myself to go grab him to drag him to bed every night."
There was a huff from the door. "You better not. I am just in the middle of a Quirkless trafficking case. After we find the group behind it or we run out of leads, I will be taking the next couple days off to crash and recover."
His mother looked worriedly between Izuku and his Dadtective. "Should we be worried about them potentially targeting Izuku?"
His Dadtective snorted and poured a cup of hot water from the electric kettle as he fished out a decaffeinated tea bag. "You say that like if them trying to grab Izuku wouldn't immediately end with the kid beating the snot out of them and hauling them into my station."
Izuku gave him a questioning look. "Where's Eri?"
His Dadtective gestured vaguely back through the doorway in the direction of the bedrooms. "Himiko is giving her an 'Elsa' braid. They'll be out for breakfast shortly."
Sure enough, his sisters appeared not long after that. Izuku glared pointedly at Himiko's tie. "How do you even know how to tie that so easily?"
She giggled. "I practiced!" She opened the smaller medical style fridge under the counter and pulled out a blood pack holding it up. "Do you mind if I do you today? In case someone wants to see my Quirk?"
Izuku snickered. "Only if you promise to turn up at Shoto's lunch table as me during lunch to mess with my classmates."
"Done!" She snapped the fridge door closed and bit a hole in the pack and began to suck on it like a juice pouch.
Eri giggled as she pulled herself up onto the bench of their American style breakfast nook table. "Himi-nē and Izu-nii should switch places for a day!"
Izuku met his sisters' mischievous grins. "Maybe at some point. We aren't far enough into the school year for that prank to be as effective."
Their mother huffed as she began placing their bowls of rice with egg at the table. "You better not be planning on doing something like that without at least talking with your teachers first. I don't want you messing up your own educations just because you think something is funny."
Izuku rolled his eyes as he took his breakfast/dinner from her and sat down. "I'm sure it would be fine so long as we coordinate with Nedzu. You know he is always game for a good prank on the school."

Shouta was amused to see that his homeroom was all chatting with one another from the comfort of their desk seats when he arrived that time. Better but it still took Izuku picking up and slamming his notebook down on his desk to get them all to notice his arrival.
"Better but you should not be relying on Loki's situational awareness to notice when I arrive. Just a few quick announcements for Homeroom today. You all should have seen your schedules now so should know what you will be doing for the coming day. As you are going to immediately notice, Loki is not going to be in most of your classes since Nedzu claimed him as his personal student. Similarly, Shinso will not be joining you for English. Mineta, as already mentioned you are staying with us up until lunch. I have your revised schedule for your afternoon classes with me so you can collect it before Homeroom is over. This afternoon's Practical Heroics will be a combined lesson with 1-B to go over safety information and do a costume check."
He pointedly looked at Hitoshi. "Those of you with weapons included with your costume will be required to show the teachers for the class any certifications you have that you might need to carry them."
Hitoshi snorted. "Yeah, yeah. I'll make sure to have my firearms license in my Hero Costume pocket."
That earned several shouts of surprise from the class.
"Firearms?!"
"Shinso you are going to have a gun?!"
"You already know how to fire one?!"
"Where did you even learn how to do that?"
Shouta gave them a minute to hassle his son about that, giving the boy a very pointed look to make it clear that this was a bed he had made for himself.
Hitoshi just rolled his eyes. "I told you guys that I know Principal Nedzu. I asked him if he could hook me up with lessons with Snipe to get certified early since the optional class he teaches isn't until third year. How the hell do you think I passed a test fighting massive robots with my Quirk being what it is."
Izuku hummed. "From what I heard from Nedzu, he was one of four people to break the 0-Pointer in his testing site, the others being Bakugou here and a team effort on Kirishima and Yoarashi's part."
That earned all four of them impressed looks. Yoarashi laughed. "While I am certain either one of us could have taken it down on our own, when Kirishima here asked me to toss him at it, I wasn't going to say no to such a passionate request!"
Kirishima snickered. "Yeah, he yeeted me through the middle of it. It was supper manly!"
Tsuburaba snorted. "Something Midoriya is neglecting to mention is that when Shinso shot out all the cameras on the one in our site, he only didn't get crushed because I helped bail his ass out."
Kaminari rubbed the back of his neck. "Yeah, but he only had to try and fight the giant robot because I messed up and gave myself that seizure."
Katsuki snorted. "What I am hearing is most of you are a bunch of weak babies. That robot was just as easy to take down as all the others."
Shoto gave him a bland look. "Not everyone in the class has a Quirk designed for large scale destruction Bakugou."
Katsuki glared at him. "Yeah, and what is your excuse for not trying to take it down? As the son of the current number one, you are bound to have enough fire power. Or ice power in your case."
Shoto gave a slow blink. "Principal Nedzu asked me to leave the testing site early after I apparently hit the max number of Villain points they were allowed to distribute to one test taker in one attack. It is why on the scoreboard for the top scores on our acceptance letter has a line instead of 0 points in the Rescue category for me."
Now everyone was staring at the poor kid like he had grown a second head, his friends and their family included. Right, Shouta had never relayed that fact to the rest of them and clearly the kid hadn't either. Hitoshi made a small noise of annoyance. "I always forget how complete bullshit your Quirk is, Shoto."
The bicolored boy just shrugged before glancing up at Shouta. "I feel we might have gotten off track. Sensei, were there any other announcements?"
Eyes returning back to Shouta, he shook his head. "No, I intentionally waited to mention that last part since I knew the reaction that it was likely to earn. You all have a free period for the rest of Homeroom. Loki, you can head up to Nedzu's office a little early if you want or stick around and chat with the class."
Izuku shrugged and nodded. "Got it Eraser but I think I might stick around for a bit longer."
"Suit yourself."
The class broke back up into smaller groups to chat after that, Mineta briefly hopping up to collect his new schedule before returning to his seat to chat with Tenya in the seat in front of him. Two minutes before their first class was set to begin with Ishiyama for Modern Literature Shouta gave them a warning of the time and picked up the first day test packets for his Third year Hero Law class from the table at the front where he had set them down so he wouldn't have to swing by the staff room on the way to 3-A.
Shouta was not surprised when Izuku followed him out the door. "Do you know what Nedzu has planned for me today?"
Shouta reached over to ruffle his hair. "No but I wish you luck surviving it."
Izuku snorted and pulled off his circlet to comb his hair back into place. "I won't need it. Nedzu likes me, remember?"
---MiM-MiM-MiM---
Izuku looked down at the massive stack of test papers that Nedzu had just slapped down on the smaller desk he had set up for Izuku in his office. He looked up to Nedzu flashing him a grin with a bit too much teeth. "Just a small bit of paperwork to sort out before we can get to the fun stuff. I hope to finish all five packets of these by Friday!"
Izuku groaned but picked up his pencil to begin.

Shoto watched the confusion dancing over the faces of his classmates when an "Izuku" turned up for lunch in a girl's uniform. One that he was uncertain if they noticed had the two shoulder buttons of the Support department. "Hey guys! So how were morning classes?"
Himiko set her bento down beside Shoto as he shifted on the bench seat to make room for her.
Tenya, who had clearly clocked what was going on but was clearly planning on pretending he hadn't, made a noise of distress. "Midoriya, why are you wearing the wrong uniform?"
Himiko, playing dumb, glanced down at herself. "But this is the right uniform?"
Yaoyorozu, looking pretty lost, frowned. "That is the girl's uniform? And I believe the Support department jacket?"
Shoto snorted. "Of course it is. That is what department she is in."
Kendo blinked. "Come again?"
Himiko giggled but Shoto just rolled his eyes and poked her with the back of his chopsticks. "Meet Izuku's older sister Midoriya Himiko. She can turn into other people with her Quirk. The real Izuku is probably sleeping with Hitoshi."
She stuck her tongue out at Shoto as she released her Quirk. "Ah, you're no fun Shoto. I wanted to see how long it took for them to figure it out."
Katsuki snorted. "Our class hadn't met you until now, how the fuck was figuring it out an option?"
She rolled her eyes. "I mean I know Izuku has mentioned me to all of you before and I know he loves chatting about Quirks to anyone who will stand still long enough to listen." She paused before frowning and glancing around. "Hey, Shoto, where is Neito?'
Shoto shrugged. "He said he wanted to ask Aizawa-sensei something."
She frowned but seemed to decide to shrug it off as she finished unpacking her bento. "You guys still haven't answered my question. How did morning classes go?"
Ashido groaned. "I am so glad that Shinso told me to talk to Ectoplasm-sensei about my issues with numbers. Today is just the first day and I think I only understood like maybe a fourth of the lecture…"
---MiM-MiM-MiM---
Neito stuck his head into the darkened staffroom in search of his Uncle Shouta. It was hard to see in the blacked out room but he made out the three dark lumps in the mess of bedding that Nedzu had provided for him, Izuku and Hitoshi to sleep in. He quietly crept over to the largest one who opened a dimly illuminated red eye. "What?"
Neito rubbed the back of his neck, feeling a bit guilty for waking him up. "I was hoping you would sit in on the Heroic's class today if you weren't already planning on it? I just had a moment of inspiration for a prank on All Might during English and, well, I am worried he might not react well to it?"
He sighed and sat up. "What is it?"
"Oh, I was thinking I could pass around Quirk Copies with the class at random to mess with 1-B into thinking I have a body switching Quirk."
His uncle snorted. "I am guessing that you have recruited a few of your classmates into this?"
Neito gave a sheepish grin.

Sorahiko was surprised to find that Aizawa was planning on joining them for their first class. "I figured you would have wanted to take advantage of the class off."
Aizawa snorted. "I was considering it originally but then it came to my attention that this is the first time both Yagi and 1-B are meeting my class of hellions so I thought I would stick around to watch. The only reason Hizashi and Nemuri aren't joining us is because Nedzu promised to let them watch on the cameras so they don't distract the kids."
Sorahiko gave him an amused smirk. "Not worried about me then?"
Aizawa snorted. "You know perfectly well what not only my nephew Izuku and son are like but Shoto as well. I am sure you are capable of scaling their chaos up to the whole class. That goes doubly so with those that are in on the prank about my relationship with my kids."
Sorahiko grinned. "Now I think you are just trying to get my hopes up."
"Hopes up about what?"
Sorahiko turned to Toshinori who had slipped into the gym where they had set up the projector for the lecture and obstacle course for the kids to run around on while in costume to stress test them. Aizawa turned to the man. "That Izuku is probably going to make one of Kan's kids cry."
Sorahiko couldn't help the chuckle at the face Toshi made at that. "That would not be particularly heroic of him."
Aizawa snorted before replying with a bored tone of voice. "Neither is Quirkism against the Quirkless. While I am hopeful that none of the kids that ended up in Kan's are Quirkist like that, we won't really know for sure until the kids talk with one another."
The doors to the gym flew open to reveal Midoriya in full Loki gear, his face mask hanging loosely around his neck and hood back. "Eraser, quick! Help me get up into the rafters!"
Sorahiko was shocked to see that the normally no nonsense Underground hero did not hesitate before removing his capture weapon to fling it up to wrap around a rafter and held out the dangling end for the kid to quickly scramble up. As he and Toshinori looked between Aizawa replacing his capture weapon around his neck and the new ceiling goblin, the door to the gym opened again for the remaining students to file in.
Toshinori flashed the group a wide smile and briefly puffed up in his Hero form. "They say the costume makes the man. Look at all of you. Real Heroes in the making."
Sorahiko frowned as he immediately picked out one girl from 1-B in the crowd in her gym uniform. Thankfully Aizawa spotted it too so he didn't have to rack his brain for her name from reading the student files. "Hagakure, is there a reason you aren't in your Hero costume?"
The girl jumped slightly but the girl with Vines for hair beside her spoke up with a raised hand. "She is of what the support company sent her. There were only gloves and shoes in her briefcase."
Aizawa immediately frowned. "Was there a note of a delay with the main part of her costume?"
The invisible girl shook her whole body to make it clear she was shaking her head. "No! Nothing! The body suit I asked for that I sent my hair sample to make the special fabric was just not there."
Aizawa's kid Shinso looked dumbstruck by that. "The fuck? Did they think they could just ignore the minimum skin coverage laws because you are invisible?"
Sorahiko couldn't help but notice that she wasn't the only girl seemingly uncomfortable in their costume. "Right, show of hands, who here actually got the costume that they put the order in for?"
Thankfully, most of the classes raised their hands. Still there was a handful. Endeavor's kid, Yaoyorozu and the one boy who had taken down a 0-pointed solo.
"Right you three, what is wrong with your costumes?"
Todoroki shrugged. "They changed the colors of the costume from what I requested of pastels and changed the sweets theming of my water canisters and shoes to just plain ones. Also they did not include the retractable ice skates I asked for."
Yaoyorozu, still looking uncomfortable, gestured to her revealing outfit. "While I told the designers that I didn't have anything specific in mind for my costume outside of being able to access large portions of my skin, I had assumed that they would do something similar to Midnight with a self healing fabric. The way this costume is designed, anytime I create something larger with my Quirk from my back, it is going to get completely destroyed. Also I am uncertain if this is the best way for me to carry my reference material."
The last boy snorted. "My issue is smaller than theirs. Basically the company that mine got outsourced to didn't use the materials I requested specifically for my top and pants and," he pointed to the pair of circles on the red-orange X over his chest, "some jackass at the palace tried to sign my design work and pass it off as his own. I can fix it myself though after my parents order the proper Quirk rated materials."
One of the boy's of 1-B snorted. "Someone thinks highly of themselves… You really think you could make your hero costume at home and have it stack up against the professional designers?"
Toshi's successor scoffed and threw an arm over the explosive boy's shoulder. "Well of course he probably could. His parents are the ones behind some of Best Jeanist's costumes. You should see Bakugou's cosplay of him. He looks just like the real deal!"
Bakugou just snorted and shoved Kirishima's arm off his shoulder. "The only reason my parents weren't one of the designers outsourced to this year was because they are in the middle of a major costume overhaul for Jeanist's Sidekicks. If they had been, I probably would have actually just made it all myself outside of the support equipment."
Before an argument could start up, one of the 1-B girls piped up. "Hey, why are there only 18 of you in 1-A?"
Without missing a beat Shinso replied. "19."
She frowned. "No, there are only 18 of you. I counted twice."
Suddenly the kid dropped from the rafters on the crashmat behind the group before popping up out of it. "No 19."
His entrance earned a mix of startled cries of alarm from 1-B and cheers from 1-A who had clearly been in on it. Toshinori just sighed and gestured over to the kid. "For those of you in 1-B not aware, we have a Vigilante in our midst. Young Midoriya here you might better know as Loki."
