Chapter 2 - Creator's Note: Hello...

Creator's Note: Hello…

(1st Person: The Creator)

Hmm…helluva start to this story ain't it? If I'm correct, this is your introduction to this world. Welcome, welcome. First things first, don't bother asking me for my name. Until I feel that you people are worthy to know me, you'll never know my real name. Until I say so, you must acknowledge me as "The Creator". I also will accept names like God or The Almighty. Remember that.

I am The Creator and this world right here is my baby. After years of research and experiments, a world like this one finally exists. It exists and it belongs to me. To clarify, did I construct a big bang event to make this world, no. This particular universe was given to me as a gift for my hard work. I got to change this world into a world of my dreams. A world like the superhero comic books I used to read. Now I no longer have to just read a comic or watch another show or movie. I get to watch it live. To think, all it took was to give a particular formula, the V-Force formula, to individuals in the scientist community who could care less about such things like human rights. Scientists that were more than willing to donate their findings to those involved in illegal trafficking services like human, animal, drugs, and sex trafficking as long as they got the results they were looking for and even results they weren't expecting, but pleasantly accepted. Sharing the knowledge that was shared to me got me this. This formula I shared creates a special energy and force that can exist in any form of matter. That power, we have dubbed it "V-Force". V-Force can alter anything down to its atomic structure. That alteration is what turns fantasy into reality. Normal into super. However, it does not do so kindly. For every gift it grants, there is a price. The humans that were changed by V-force are now my children. My "Variants". All differ in many ways. Those changes reflect what matters most to them - mind, body, or heart. Their powers are not just tools; they are extensions of their very souls. But even the strongest soul can break. And how they break fascinates me most of all.

Many of the broken chose to rise up to the occasion, like The Apostles. The so-called bastions of hope & virtue in this world. Others have chosen the dark side of their nature, believing it will repair the cracks inside. Even still, they show me that these choices aren't binary. That's what I love about this world. It's….so imperfect. So flawed and versatile. It's wonderful. I get that some might call me cruel. They might accuse me of toying with my creation, of watching as heroes and villains rise and fall for my amusement. And perhaps they would be right. But I wonder... if I left this world untouched, would it be any less cruel? Free will is a double-edged sword, after all. And in this world, it is sharper than most. They strive, they suffer, they hope. And I... I watch. There is beauty in their struggle, even when it ends in ruin. Especially then.

In this particular narrative thread in my tapestry, dark forces want to expand themselves into greatness off the back of a little girl. A girl that is powerful as she is fragile. They will fight for her, bleed for her, because they believe she is the key. Perhaps she is. Or perhaps she is merely a mirror, reflecting the hearts of those who seek to control her. One thing is certain: this story is not yet written. And that is what excites me most of all. The stage is set, the players in position. The game begins, and I... I am merely the observer. For now.
