"This is my personal training pod."
Adrian's meaning was obvious enough. Eli had interrupted his private training session.
Eli nodded. "Sorry to bother you."
He turned and walked away.
After being chased through half the training complex and then colliding with Adrian at the end of it, Eli's patience had been thoroughly exhausted. The encounter had also taken away most of his enthusiasm for training.
For a brief moment, he seriously considered abandoning the idea altogether and returning to his dormitory in Sector C.
But he had already come this far, and there was no reason to let two irritating students ruin his plans. After wandering through several more corridors and taking a few turns that he hoped were correct, Eli finally found the training pod he had reserved.
The moment he stepped inside, the door sealed behind him.
