Chapter 1 - chapter one

The spacious room was dimly lit with a deep red hue, a glow that mingled with the sweet, savory scent of honey, dark musk, and exotic spices. The heavy scent seemed to cling to the velvet drapes and the air itself. The bed lay neatly arranged, almost expectant.

The low light cast the lady, a woman in her early twenties, as a stunning silhouette. She sat on a waiting chair, her brown wavy hair falling neatly on her shoulder and her back to the door, effectively blocking the view of anyone entering. Two glasses of wine and a champagne bottle stood sentinel on a small table between two opposing chairs. Soft, solemn music—a deep cello and a slow piano—drifted from the room's far corner, giving the silence a gentle, anticipatory pulse.

The lady seemed to be waiting. The moment the door opened, a deep, masculine voice cut through the air. "Hey there," he called, peering into the shadows.

"Come in," she invited, her tone deliberately cool and flat.

She filled the glasses, then placed one in his outstretched hand. "Take a seat," she instructed, her voice holding an unmistakable command.

He accepted the wine and gently set it on the table before sinking into the chair. The air was hot and thick, and he felt a nervous dryness in his throat.

"So," he asked, a hopeful edge to his voice, "what if what ?" Was she playing a game? Or just delaying the inevitable? He thought to himself as he strained his eyes, catching only glimpses of the black, transparent lingerie she wore which are enough to send his imagination reeling.

Taking a measured sip from her glass, she answered, "Since you're so curious, I won't waste your time." She deliberately crossed her legs, extending the top one until her toes brushed his inner thigh. The contact was feather-light, yet it made his entire body tense. She gently rubbed his foot with her toes, her eyes locked on his, a gaze that seemed to disrobe him entirely.

She gave him a soft, deliberate smile, then a slow wink.

"What if Mike did touch me," she began, her voice dropping to a seductive murmur, "wouldn't that be great?" The question, delivered with such intimacy, sent a powerful jolt down his spine. He swallowed, the deep, eager mischief in his eyes finally overcoming his reserve. This was it. This was the moment he'd been waiting for.

She rose to her feet, finally giving him the view he craved.

Mike looked up at her, his voice low, "It would be. So I suggest we start."
