Chapter 11 - Chapter 11 – Paradise Merchants’ Union

Hoho… looks like we found a strong human here.

Wong stared at the monster in disbelief. He had never seen a monster that could talk. This was the first time he encountered such an intelligent being.

The monster continued:

— I've been sitting here for a long time. How about you entertain me a little?

Shocked, Wong gathered himself. He snapped back to reality and prepared to attack.

(Thinking to himself:)

"This monster is different from anything I've faced… its aura is so strong it feels like it's burning my skin… I don't see any weaknesses… I have to start with a simple move."

He ran swiftly to the sword lying against the wall and grabbed it.

— Infinite Slash!

Thousands of rapid strikes rained down on the monster. The surrounding walls crumbled, but the monster didn't even get scratched.

Wong stepped back in disbelief and regained his guard.

The monster laughed:

— That's it? Done already?

— Didn't you come to destroy us?

— Well, alright. I'll give you two more attacks. After that, it's my turn.

Angered by the humiliation, Wong controlled himself. He took a deep breath and looked around. He noticed the two guards who had been beside him had vanished. It was just him and the monster.

(Thinking to himself:)

"I need to use the environment…"

His eyes landed on barrels of gunpowder.

"Maybe there's a way…"

He charged at the monster again.

— Heart Piercer!

But this attack also missed.

The monster chuckled:

— So scared you can't even hit the target?

— This is your last chance, human. Give it your all. After that, it's death's turn!

Wong started circling the monster, slashing like a whirlwind. Suddenly, he aimed for the monster's neck.

— Flame Sword!

The blade touched the gunpowder. A massive explosion engulfed everything in fire. Wong escaped through the created gap.

As the fire cleared, the monster saw the barrels and Wong, realizing Wong had purposely missed his attack to create an escape path.

— What a dirty trick…

And in that moment, the entire building exploded.

Wong pulled himself out of the rubble with all his strength. His leg was burned and wounded, but he remained standing. He looked at the ruins… and suddenly, something emerged from beneath the debris.

It was the same monster… but now smaller, more humanoid, with shining scales and dragon-like eyes.

— Haha… you're the first to make me use my second form.

Wong laughed:

— So you're still alive…

The monster approached and punched Wong hard in the stomach. Wong was thrown several meters away into a shallow river. He had no strength left.

The monster came down on him with a powerful kick. Wong's bones broke, and blood poured from every part of his body. Then, the monster grabbed his collar and threw him against a rock.

By a miracle, he survived, but his face was bloody and his vision blurred. His eyes were closing…

The monster moved closer and said:

— Your will is admirable… you're still alive after all these hits.

— But it's time to finish this.

It raised its hand, intending to rip Wong's heart from his chest.

Its hand reached for his heart…

But just before it hit, a strong hand stopped the motion…

The Master stood there calmly.

— Haha, Wong… looks like you're still breathing.

Wong barely managed to open his eyes; he had no strength and immediately passed out.

The Master bent down and glanced at him.

— Good job, that's enough for now. From here on, I've got this… you just rest.

The monster stared in disbelief at the hand that had halted it. No matter how it struggled, it couldn't break free. Its power was useless for the first time.

The Master calmly said:

— This isn't the place to continue. Let's move somewhere more secluded.

Then, with a powerful punch, he threw the monster toward the desert.

The monster rolled on the ground, blood trickling from its lip. It stood up, eyes blazing with fury.

— Kiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiill!!!

— I'll kill you!!!

Without hesitation, it lunged at the Master.

The Master was ready…
