Togata checks his phone anxiously as he taps his finger on the ground. He looks over at Turbo Granny who is staring at him relentlessly.
Noticing her gaze, Togata quickly composes himself turning off his phone as he puts it back into his pocket.
''Miss Miyu, everything's been arranged, it's getting late and it would be best if you picked up Hinano yourself''. Togata suggests.
''You're right, I'll be on my way''. Miyu replies getting up. ''Thank you all once again''.
''Don't mention it''. Seiko says not looking up from the TV.
Togata looks up at Miyu with a smile. ''Yeah don't mention it....But if you would like transport money I could.....''.
''No I've stolen enough from you Togata, I suppose I won't be paying you back for the hospital bills either''. Miyu says cutting him off with a smile.
''I suppose so''. Togata replies with a smile.
''Great, I'll be self sufficient from now on, and I'll get going''. Miyu says heading outside.
''Make sure to bring little Hinano in time for dinner!''. Aira shouts excitedly.
''I hope she won't be asleep by the time we get here''. Miyu replies with a smile as she goes out the door.
The second the door closes Togata gets serious and stares at Seiko.
''Alright...You played it a bit too calm there, how serious is this?''. Togata asks.
''Yeah how much danger is Hinano in really?''. Aira adds turning around to stare.
''....Depends....''. Seiko replies.
''On what?''. Okarun asks.
''On how long the spirit's been bothering her''. Seiko sighs as she gets up to face them.
''What kind of spirit is it?''. Jiji asks.
''It's an Akaname, a filth spirit, basically it's known for making people sick''. Seiko says.
''Huh...Wait how?''. Aira asks.
''By licking em''. Seiko replies.
''WHAT!?''. Everyone shouts.
''Yeah....I hate that damn thing! It comes up to ya when your sleeping and licks yer ears all deep like, then ya get sick''. Turbo Granny says arms crossed.
Aira immediately raises a fist in disgust. ''EWWW!! It did that to poor Hinano!? That damn bastard I'm gonna...!''.
''Although...It's usually shy...It hates interactions with humans and runs off, usually you can recover normally with one or two licks, but if she's still sick that means we got a repeat visitor on our hands''. Seiko sighs.
''So basically it's acting out of character like something else is controlling it's movements? Some sort of foul play it seems''. Kinta deduces.
''Huh what are you talking about?''. Momo sighs as she sulks into the room.
''The spirit bothering Hinano is like a total perv!''. Aira shouts.
''Huh?''. Momo asks looking over at Seiko.
''It's a Akaname''. Seiko replies.
''Oh that thing? It's real?''. Momo asks taking a seat casually.
''Damn right! Better believe what I tell ya from now on''. Seiko replies.
''Miss Ayase you know about it?''. Okarun asks.
''Yeah granny over here used to tell me about it, she said it'll come lick my ears and make me sick if I don't keep my room clean''. Momo explains.
''So it's an old bedtime story to scare kids into keeping their rooms clean?''. Togata asks.
''Basically, but it ain't no story it's true, and like I said it usually isn't hostile or doesn't target anyone, this is odd....But it's a weak spirit, nothing we can't handle''. Seiko says.
''Yeah....''. Togata says.
''Of course we can, I'll kick that things ass so hard it'll be able to taste it!''. Aira shouts.
''Already can, the things tongue is long as hell''. Turbo Granny points out.
''EWWW! Don't make me imagine it!''. Aira shouts.
''So once the girls here we can start, but first some grub. Albert?''. Seiko asks.
Tick flies in with plates in arm as he places them gracefully on the table. ''Dinner is served, voila!''.
Togata sits lost in thought as he eats.
''So how are we gonna beat this thing anyway?''. Momo asks.
''It ain't normal that's for sure, probably gotten stronger, so we'll need to be on our toes, underestimating it would be our biggest mistake...I'm thinking it's probably merged with other spirits to get stronger''. Seiko explains.
''Like with Turbo Granny''. Okarun says.
''Psh, only small fries need ta merge to survive''. Turbo Granny says.
''Psshhh! You totally did a while back dumbo''. Momo says taking a bite of the food as she points her chopsticks at Turbo Granny. ''So maybe you're the weak sauce''.
''Shut your mouth I only did it to get rid of your cheating asses!''. Turbo Granny shouts.
''Nuh-Uh! We won fair and square just admit you lost and you aren't as fast as you say you are''. Momo teases.
''I'll murder ya!''. Turbo Granny shouts.
''Wait are we going to do it like...Tonight? Do we have to''. Jiji asks.
''Yeah of course why?''. Momo replies.
''Ugh dammit. I can't I need to be back at home with the parents, I have to help with some stuff...I won't be able to help sowwy!''. Jiji says gesturing prayer hands.
''Oh, that's alright''. Momo says.
''Hmmm. Unfortunately I must add to the bad news, I won't be able to participate as well, my caretakers have also warned about staying out late without notice, I know this will be tremendously hard without me but you'll have to manage!''. Kinta declares.
''Tch. Like we need you, whatever''. Aira says.
''Huh!?''. Kinta gasps dramatically.
''Alright then it's just the five of us''. Okarun says. ''We should be alright''.
''You mean four''. Turbo Granny interrupts with a mouth full of food.
''What do you mean four?''. Aira asks.
''Bluey over here's having cold feet, I can see it from a mile away''. Turbo Granny says. ''C'mon boy. What were ya waiting to bail out on us at the last second when things get tough or something?''.
''The young master is no scared chicken!''. Tick shouts.
''No wait up Albert....She's got a point Togata...You seem nervous, what's the matter?''. Seiko asks.
Togata takes a breath as he puts his chopsticks down. ''I can't participate either....''.
''Wait what!? Why?''. Aira asks.
''...Death....''. Togata sighs.
''So you're gonna leave us cause of him? Who cares about that guy?''. Momo asks.
''I just can't, you know what happened last time''. Togata sighs.
Everything goes quiet for a while.
''So you're scared...''. Aira asks.
''I'm not...I'm...I'm just cautious''. Togata replies.
''I see''. Seiko sighs.
''Young master...''. Tick sighs.
Aira looks at Togata for a while then back at her food eating casually.
''So you're gonna leave Hinano out on her own, just cause your scared of getting hurt....Not cool''. Aira says disappointedly not looking up from her plate.
''Psh guess you ain't as tough as you say you are''. Turbo Granny comments.
''....No you don't understand...You know he doesn't like it when I meddle, but I've noticed he doesn't care about you guys''. Togata sighs.
''Wow''. Momo replies.
''I don't mean it like that! I mean it's like with Chiquitita. I'll just lay low...I'm not leaving her for dead, Hinano is safe with you guys, I'm sure you can take care of it on your own''. Togata says.
''What are you going to tell miss Miyu?''. Okarun asks.
''I'll act like I'll be there and after she leaves I'll leave...She doesn't fully trust you guys yet and I'm sure she'll have second thoughts If she knows I won't participate''. Togata replies.
''So you're gonna lie?''. Momo asks.
''How shameful pretty boy number one''. Kinta says.
''Just a white lie...For her sake''. Togata says.
''No...For your sake''. Aira quickly replies.
Togata sighs as he looks over at her. ''Aira...I''.
Suddenly the door bell rings as they all look at the door.
''There she is''. Okarun sighs.
Aira gets up immediately heading for the door. ''No worries, we don't need you anyway, we've got this, I'll save Hinano on my own if I have to''.
''Yeah don't worry we can handle this Togata, no need to feel guilty''. Okarun says.
''Thanks''. Togata sighs.
Tick dematerializes immediately as Turbo Granny hides behind Seiko out of sight.
Aira opens the door to see Miyu holding Hinano as she sleeps.
''Huhh nooo!''. Aira cries dramatically.
Miyu laughs as some nurses accompany her into the room giggling as well.
''I told you not to get your hopes up''. Miyu says.
''So unfair''. Aira sighs dramatically.
Everyone stares at Aira impressed.
''Oh my, how mature of miss Shiratori to play it cool''. Tick commends in Togata's head.
''She like switched on a dime...Then again what would I expect from a grade A pretender like her''. Momo scoffs silently.
''The young girl tried to stay awake but the night got the best of her''. A nurse says as she prepares a bed.
Togata sighs as he gets up and shakes his head putting on a fake smile. ''You got here quick''.
''Of course we did, the CMO called it urgent, you must be a very important person Mister Toriyama''. The other nurse says with a smile.
''Not really, just a favor from person to person, but regardless I'm thankful for the diligence''. Togata replies.
''Your very welcome''. The nurse replies with a smile. ''So where shall we put the equipment?''.
''Anywhere''. Seiko sighs.
The nurses set up a corner seemingly ripped right out of the hospital as they pack up and head out.
''Do take care everyone, goodnight''. The nurse says with a smile.
''Goodnight''. Everyone replies back.
The door closes as the atmosphere shifts once again.
Tick rematerializes as Turbo Granny leaves her hiding spot to eat Togata's food.
Miyu stares at her daughter as she sleeps on the bed peacefully, coughing occasionally.
''Having doubts?''. Togata asks.
''I...Just want to make sure she'll be alright. You all make this sound so simple but from what happened on the night we met I know the supernatural isn't anything to mess around with''. Miyu explains.
''Don't worry Miss Miyu, we're used to this sort of thing, I promise you Hinano will be well taken care of, and she'll be fine by the time you get back''. Aira says lightening the mood.
''Thank you all so much''. Miyu replies.
''It's alright, you should head out, we're used to it but the situation is slightly dangerous, wouldn't want you caught up in anything''. Seiko says.
''Oh...Of course, I'll be on my way''. Miyu says grabbing her bag before giving Hinano a kiss on the forehead.
As she leaves Jiji and Kinta get up as well on their way.
''Thanks for the meal granny! I shall be heading out''. Kinta proclaims. ''Bye my sweet Vamola!''.
Vamola doesn't reply as she demolishes the plate of food in front of her.
''Same here, see you guys Goodluck!''. Jiji says.
''See ya''. Momo says.
''Bye Jiji''. Okarun waves.
''Wait...You two aren't staying to help?''. Miyu asks.
''Well we can't but the guys will be alright on their own, they are super strong''. Jiji says.
Miyu looks over at the group worried.
''Hehe yeah''. Momo smiles full of herself.
''Of course we are''. Aira says arms crossed in pride.
Miyu doesn't look convinced as she stares then turns to Hinano.
''No need to be anxious, you can rest will miss, the young master and his comrades are quite the resilient group indeed!''. Tick says.
Miyu sighs as she closes her eyes. ''I...know I just...''.
''Miss Miyu...Everything will be alright I promise you''. Togata says with a smile. ''I've never let you down before have I?''.
Miyu looks at Togata then smiles. ''No...I suppose I'm overreacting...I put her in your hands take care of her please''.
''Already done''. Seiko reassures.
''Ok, take care everyone, goodnight''. Miyu says with a smile as she heads out with Jiji and Kinta.
''Goodnight''. Everyone replies as the door closes once again.
Togata sighs as he packs his things as well. ''Tick, let's go''.
Aira stares at him with judging eyes as she walks over to finish her food without saying a word.
''Where will you stay kid?''. Seiko asks.
''The house is almost complete, just a few quality of life stuff, it's livable, at least for one night''. Togata replies. ''What about you guys, what's the plan?''.
''...Well, I was hoping you'd take Vamola with you...She strong but she's not used to fighting spirits''. Seiko says.
''Of course! Vamola dear we are about to be on our way!''. Tick says excitedly.
Vamola gets up as she goes upstairs to get her stuff coming downstairs quickly with a smile.
Togata smiles back at her as he opens the door looking back inside anxiously. ''Take care of her''.
''Alright alright enough, we've got this dude''. Momo says.
''Okay okay, I'll stop. Goodnight everyone''. Togata says.
''Bye Togata. Bye Vamola''. Okarun says.
''Bye Takakura! Bye Momo, Aira!''. Vamola says with a smile.
''See ya''. Momo says.
''Bye Vamola''. Aira says not looking up.
Everyone looks at her.
''Oh my''. Tick exclaims sadly.
''Hehe, things are getting interesting''. Turbo Granny laughs watching closely.
''Oh is that everyone or can't you see right?''. Momo asks.
''No one left that's worth saying bye too that is''. Aira replies.
''Huh?''. Momo asks.
''Don't worry about it''. Togata sighs. ''We'll just go''.
Togata closes the door as everyone inside starts to get ready.
''Miss Shiratori, that was rude why didn't you tell him goodnight?''. Okarun asks.
''He deserved it''. Aira replies.
''So you're mad at the guy for worrying about his own safety?''. Momo asks.
''Not that, it's that attitude, he didn't even second guess it, actually he's probably been planning to ghost us since the hospital earlier. Togata doesn't do things spontaneously it's not his style''. Aira explains.
''Oh and you know his style?''. Momo asks suspiciously.
''I thought I did''. Aira replies.
''Ohhh?''. Momo asks.
''Whatever! Stop talking about him. Miss Seiko what's the plan?''. Aira asks.
''Yeah how are we going to get the spirit here?''. Okarun asks.
Seiko sighs as she gets up. ''Well if we want to draw the spirit out we'll have to get some rest too''.
''Huh!?''. Everyone asks.
