Togata heads into school the next day as gasps fill the hallways more than usual, actually, way more than usual kind of like gasps of disbelief.
''Togata?!''. A girl shouts as she walks with him.
''Good Morning?''. Togata says with a smile.
He gathers a crowd all asking questions their voices overlapping so Togata can't make them out.
''Everyone! I know you're all worried thank you very much, but I have to go to class now, I'm fine really, everything will be explained later alright?''. Togata says.
Everyone nods yes.
As Togata goes into his class Tick speaks up. ''That was kind of rude young master''.
''Yeah you're right''. Togata sighs as he turns around to all of them.
''Thank you all for your concern, It's really nice to have so many people caring about me since I've never been to a normal high school before, arigato''. Togata says with a bow.
Immediately the hall erupts into squeals and screams mostly from the girls as Togata smiles and turns around heading into his class.
''Ahh, you're popularity knows no bounds young master, everyone is quite fond of you, I thought we would have more female casualties although''. Tick says in Togata's head.
''Yeah I thought they would have grown bored of me maybe cause I'm not the popular boy they expected. Probably shouldn't have added the bow and the Japanese''. Togata said.
''You behaved like a perfect gentleman! Do not be sorry for that!''. Tick says.
''Uh huh''. Togata sighs before sitting down where he is bombared by students again.
''BRO!''. Riku shouts.
''BRO!''. Ren shouts.
''BRO!''. Every boy in the class shouts.
''DUDE! Like how are you even alive!?''. Riku shouts.
''Morning? What?''. Togata asks.
Suddenly Ren pulls up his phone and the article which reads:
''The Japanese government had admitted that during some air field testing they had accidently bombed the young prodigy Togata Toriyama's house during the night, they say he is alive but he has been no where to be seen throughout the week''.
''How!? How did you even survive!?''. Ren shouts.
''Are you okay?''. A girl asks worried as she comes closer.
''Oh my...Well you did say they should handle it''. Tick reminds Togata.
''Uhh...This is not what I meant by they should handle the scandal''. Togata replies.
''Everyone, I'm alright, I wasn't in my house when it happened''. Togata lies.
Everybody sighs a sigh of relief.
''Then where were you?''. A boy asks.
''So late at night too''. A girl asks worried.
''I was uh, out''. Togata says.
''Psh, knowing you, you were probably off with some supermodels huh? C'mon spill your harem secrets''. Haruto says teasing.
The girls stay quiet although it's absurd they believe it due to the circumstances.
''I was not with umm...I was busy working on something, it's confidential so of course I can't do it at normal hours, not to mention school and homework so late at night is the best way to do it''. Togata explains.
The girls sigh a sigh of relief.
''Of course Togata wouldn't be doing something so scandalous! He isn't like you Haruto''. A girl points out.
''Whatever, I don't believe your goody two shoes facade, anyway, just glad you're alright bro''. Haruto says.
''Yeah, guess I got lucky''. Togata replies with a smile.
Everyone settles down and heads to their seats having heard what they wanted to.
''Well we dodged a bullet this time young master''. Tick says.
Togata sits down a bit pissed. ''Damn aliens, if I meet another I'll...''.
''So what you gonna do bro? There's a test today and you've missed some classes, probably gonna lose your first place in class too''. Ren teases.
''I'll be alright''. Togata says.
Suddenly the teacher comes into class. ''Ok everybody, today is test day, this will prove your hard work and how much you've studied, when you're done you can go ahead for break, the results will be shown later in the week. Good luck''.
The teacher hands everybody the test. As everyone writes Togata finishes almost immediately as he hands in his test and heads out waving at Riku and Ren who look at him like some sort of other worldly being.
''He didn't know anything did he?''. Riku says in his head smirking.
Togata heads out to the workshop the halls barely empty only with students who finished early, Togata notices a tall dark figure outside the window as he sighs and goes outside.
The figure looms outside over him as he checks around to make sure no one is around.
''What is it?''. Togata says.
Death chuckles. ''If you ask me it seems like you're avoiding me''.
''So? I don't believe that we're friends or anything''. Togata says.
''Ouch...Even after our little truce? Hiding me from the grandmother I understand, but keeping me locked down by doing that little ritual 24/7? That's just mean''. Death says.
''So you had to appear in the flesh?''. Tick says irritated.
Death laughs as he points to Togata.
Togata sighs as he understands and releases the ritual releasing his Death side's spiritual energy. A chill runs up Togata's spine.
Death takes a breath as Togata feels his presence grow stronger. ''That wasn't so hard was it? Now we can get to business''.
''No, I have questions, I told you to leave my friends alone why does miss Seiko still have a halo''. Togata asks.
''You think I can just bring you back to life and you can take my power and do what you want with it?''. Death teases. ''No, not to mention she isn't a friend she is but a very persistent grandmother who has cheated me all too many times as well, things will progress as they should''.
''Shut it, I'm not killing miss Seiko''. Togata says angry.
Death leans in closer. ''I see now that you've gotten control of my power you believe you've gained some confidence''. Death says as he backs off amused. ''No, don't worry I would never ask you to kill her, nature will take it's course just a reminder''.
Death starts to walk away slowly as the grass below him starts to wither.
''Then why did you come?''. Togata asks.
''You wanted to see me didn't you?''. Death says as he suddenly disappears into a shadow.
''What shall we do young master?''. Tick asks.
''What else?''. Togata replies.
''Do we tell the others?''. Tick asks.
''No, not yet, we can do it without informing them, let everything settle down a bit first''. Togata replies.
''You seem worried young master''. Tick points out.
''Uhg, yeah I am, to hell with all of this, If anything happens to miss Seiko...''. Togata says as he looks over and sees Momo passing by. ''I'll never forgive myself''.
''And the young miss Ayase will kill you then proceed to exorcise me''. Tick reminds.
''Yeh that too''. Togata laughs.
