Back in the real world Tick shakes Togata's body trying to wake him up. ''YOUNG MASTER WAKE UP!".
The battle still rages on, Okarun can't transform as he used all his all out's, him and Momo run around trying to avoid be crushed, both powerless.
''No way he's still sleeping! Ugh! Momo hurry up and close the gate more aliens are coming through!''. Aira shouts still fighting.
''I'd love to! But we're stuck here surrounded by the enemy!''. Momo shouts.
Mr Mantis Shrimp runs in clearing the way''. You two follow me!''.
''Thank you Mr Shrimp!''. Momo says.
Togata wakes up from the trance as he inhales and exhales slowly the hums of thousands of souls fill the battlefield.
''What the hell!?''. Aira shouts.
''Yo, I'm awake''. Togata says.
''Young master! You're back!...Is....It you?''. Tick shouts.
''Yep, the one and only, what's poppin' Tick?''. Togata says.
''Huh? He's still talking weird!''. Aira shouts.
''No! It is him! He called me Tick! Not berty!''. Tick shouts.
''Berty!?''. Momo and Okarun shout.
''Are you ready to fight young master!''. Tick shouts.
''Yeah, born ready, wait, Damn.....Those are a lot of aliens''. Togata says now standing with his usual perfect posture upright as he stands with his scythe deadpan.
''Then carry you're damn weight! Takakura can't transform and Momo and him are going to try stop the invasion! More and more are coming through do something!''. Aira shouts.
''Calm down boss lady, I'm on it, I can wait the grave's got their names saved. Yo Death!''. Togata says almost too calm as the battle continues around him somehow attack seem not to touch him.
''Boss Lady!?''. Okarun and Momo shout still running.
''Then stop stalling and do something!''. Aira shouts.
''I'm not stalling I'm letting it sink in''. Togata says as he still stands there breathing as he see Death standing there.
''What the hell are you talking about!?''. Aira asks.
''Wait, I need to deal with something first, no rush, death's already on his way, Yo Death get over here!''. Togata says.
''What the hell is he saying!? And is that a new power or something!?''. Momo shouts.
Suddenly Death walks towards Togata as the air itself seems to fold around him he stands in front of Togata taller than before.
''Oh my''. Tick says worried but tries to act brave.
''WHAT THE HELL IS THAT!?''. Momo and Okarun shout.
''Shit! I'll explain later!''. Aira says trying to focus on fighting.
Togata bows a bit too happily almost jokingly. ''Hey boss man, I need a favor''.
Death's voice is deep, calm, unimpressed. ''You're bolder than usual, I see you feel as though you've gotten a hang of my power, let me just say that version of you that you fought earlier, is nothing compared to me''.
''Are ya stalking me or something? Whatever, anyway yeah I know that's why I called. Duh''. Togata says his mask still in a grin.
''Young master I think it unwise to try to ask for his assistance!''. Tick warns.
''Calm down Tick, I know what I'm doing, what you scared?''. Togata teases
''Yes very much so!''. Tick shouts.
Death ignores the banter speaking out. ''Although you haven't kept our part of the deal, you ask for my assistance? Why should I answer you now, one thing goes for another, you know that, what can you offer me boy and ghost''.
''Cause this ain't personal boss man....It's business''. Togata says.
''Then speak''. Death replies tilting his head intrigued.
Togata exhales slowly. ''I can't offer ya the people I care about, and I damn well won't kill the innocent''. Togata says as he takes a pause. ''But the people who destroyed Vamola's home and came to wipe out the planet? They're all yours''. Togata says with a twisted smile.
''Oh my...''. Tick says picking up on what Togata is aiming at.
Death's scythe grows heavier, the shadow sharpening. ''To think that you seek permission, not forgiveness''.
''Yeah, I ain't asking ya to bend the rules, I'm asking ya to enforce em, where I want of course''. Togata says with an amused sigh.
''Yes you demon! We will not stand for the death of the innocent!''. Tick declares getting bolder.
Then Death chuckles. Low and amused. ''Bold....For something so temporary''.
''C'mon boss man, I ain't offerin' my people, but the invaders? That's free inventory...Wouldn't wanna pass on a free meal?''. Togata says lifting his scythe pointing at the aliens.
''Why is he talking like that miss Shiratori?''. Mr Mantis Shrimp asks.
''I'll explain later!''. Aira replies.
Death grins widely as he sinks into his shadow. ''Accepted, very well''.
''Noice, so you gonna give me more power or something''. Togata says.
''No, you are strong enough with your ghostly companion, but I will teach you a new move''. Death says with a grin.
''New move? Yo Momo you said something about naming special moves right?''. Togata says.
''Yes, name your moves to increase their power Mr Toriyama!''. Mr Mantis Shrimp says as Momo and Okarun are still busy dodging attacks.
''Go ahead boss man''. Togata says.
''Bow''. Death says as he stands behind him, his scythe perfectly aligning with Togata's.
Togata bows like a gentleman receiving applause a hand to his chest in honor as Tick copies him as well.
''And swing''. Death says as he raises the massive blade.
Togata moves swinging his scythe across the air. ''Hell yeah''.
Slow.
Deliberate.
His scythe cuts the air and Death's scythe passes judgement as it crosses the battlefield.
''Graveyard -- Mass Burial''. Togata says head still bowed as he slices across the air.
Screams or noises of destruction don't fill the battlefield, instead the aliens heads drops off as they disappear, the hum of crying souls shriek out as Death smiles above Togata and Togata smiles below in his shadow.
Everyone stands shocked as the Evil Eye jumps up and down excitedly seeing the sight.
Of course that doesn't end the invasion but cripples it allowing Okarun and Momo to pass, more and more aliens come through filling in for their fallen allies.
When it's over Togata stands as his hair slowly turns white and Death begins to fade.
''Do not mistake this for partnership''. Death says as he falls into Togata's shadow.
Togata straightens, breathing steadily. ''Wouldn't dream of it''. He takes a pause. ''Thanks though''.
The hums fade as a faint, distant laugh echoes, then nothing. Death disappears as Togata falls to the ground, hair completely white.
''BADASS!''. Everyone screams as the watch the sight.
''Ugh! Show off!''. Aira shouts.
